Tim and his crew were excellent. Tim is easy going, seems very open and honest, and you get a sense that he values your business and will steer you away from things you may not need (where a lot of shops would just take your money and do it). He is very connected to the Sprinter "community" and you can tell he enjoys his work and helping others enjoy their sprinter vans. Sprinter Pitstop installed a 45 gallon diesel tank for me and a 4.3 van compass suspension upgrade complete with the new Rally Struts from Van Compass. Highly recommend Sprinter Pitstop.

Amazing experience with sprinter pit stop! I had some ac trouble with my ram promaster driving through San Diego and thank god I found these guys! They quickly identified the problem and were able to fix it same day. They are a very hard working group, with multiple projects that day and they still managed to fix my van. I m sooo appreciative to have found them! Thank you SO much Sprinter Pitstop. 10/10 recommend.

Tim and his team are outstanding. They are so important to San Diego and greater SoCal area for providing a MUCH higher value service than going to a MB dealership. I've had a lot of things done here - oil changes, differential fluid changes, interior work, oh and just another little thing - they swapped out my old motor (block damage from previous owner/accident) with a brand new OM642 motor shipped directly from Germany. This was huge for us and helped us get back on the road while we travel and work remotely. Tim is honest and transparent with all the work he does and he has invested well in the equipment/technology he uses for ensuring the work is done correctly. From engine rebuilds to OEM part replacements to performance upgrades, I seriously cannot recommend them enough!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Lucas was really helpful during the inspection and repairs. However, during the test drives, some of my stuff, like the fridge and portable toilets, moved around a lot. Turns could have been smoother.

Sprinter Pitstop made room for my van on the day the check engine light came on. Despite being a busy business servicing Sprinters they fixed the problem, did a thorough inspection, and a full service getting me back on the road in record time. I highly recommend them and will always use them for non warranty work on my van.

My van was overheating when I drove up mountains. They found problem quickly checking pressure in coolant system, but problem was in a fan clutch which made whistle noise when engine worked in a high speed. I was impressed qualification and prices this body shop. They will care you car and fix problem which really exist not just taking money from your pocket not fixing issue like it was happened with me changing radiator in another body shop that was not even problem.

Very impressed with this place, Brought sprinter van in for multiple issues and they gave me a list of everything needed to make van run good again. They even referred me to Mercedes Service center as something was covered under a emission's recall and that we would save money by going through with the warranty and then coming to them for the remainder of the needed work. Brought my van in on a Friday and had it back Monday with work completed. Great shop to get any work done on Sprinter Vans. Thanks guys.

I've taken my 2010 Sprinter to Sprinter Pit Stop twice now. Tim and his crew of mechanics are awesome. The first time was for suspension work and the second time was to have a propane tank and grey water tanks installed. I am so glad I found this shop. Sprinter Pit Stop provides excellent value and their work is top notch. For the last 6 years I ve patronized Sprinter Pitstop and the customer service and craftsmanship has been excellent. I recently had Sprinter Pitstop install the VanCompass stage 1 suspension kit, stage 2 ball joints, new tires, new back brakes, and a 2019 windshield wiper assembly (Wet Wiper system) on my 2016 4x4 sprinter. Everything works perfectly and the improvement to the ride quality is phenomenal! Tim / Andrew and their crew are great to work with and are very diligent troubleshooting issues and executing services. (It s not uncommon to receive pictures and/or videos (as needed) when they discover issues during service.) Long story short, it s gratifying to have a shop you can trust and is so very capable of handling anything your sprinter encounters! (A tire shop in the past crushed the roof rail on my van 3 years ago. Couldn t find a shop to work on it, so I reached out to Sprinter Pitstop. They were able to fix it and didn t cut any corners (damage cut out and a new piece was welded in). In the end it looked perfect!)Thank you to Tim and Andrew for all years of fantastic service and here is to many more!

Well, what can i say? Tim, the owner of Sprinter Pitstop is the man you can count on for ANYTHING having to do with Sprinter maintenance and repair!!! Short notice! No problem, come on in! The quality of work is A1! Turnaround time (efficient service). Quality, factory parts! No nonsense when it comes to quoting and doing the work, no surprises. I found Tim to be very honest on cost and what should be done for needed repair as well as preventative maintenance. Best experience with any mechanic, repair shop anywhere anytime!!! Thanks Tim and crew! ;-)

Our Sprinter based RV rocked back and forth over just about every bump and back road driving was a white-knuckle event. On Tim's recommendation, we upgraded the suspension for our late-model RV with beefier leaf-springs + upgraded shocks + suspension. After our 1,000mi shakedown cruise, in a word, *WOW* the improvement was unbelievable. Combining our new level of smooth handling with the excellent level of customer service and for sure, this is one of the *best* experiences I've ever had. We were able to get in quickly, the estimate was fair, the installation process was fast and efficient, and the focus on the customer was really appreciated, we couldn't be happier. Tim + Andrew + team are 100% fantastic and without question I'll be coming here for any of our Sprinter needs and you should too.Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Wheel alignment

Thanks to the team at Sprinter Pitstop!I had been dealing specifically with an intermittent ABS sensor light for almost 2 years, having seen two different repair shops for this repair and replacing parts periodically, but with no success and additional money wasted!Tim and Andrew's team were able to successfully troubleshoot, identify and resolve the problem completely! Since the repair, I have been driving for two months now, just returning from a 1,000 mile road trip, and am happy to report that the ABS trouble codes are gone!Thank you again Sprinter Pitstop for the great work!Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

On a trip from Reno to Oregon my 2004 sprinter 2500 had a major engine failure. I had it towed to the closest Mercedes dealer where I was informed that dealerships no longer do major repairs on Vans that old. After calling several shops and not finding one that made me feel comfortable a friend of a friend told me to check out Sprinter Pitstop. Everything about Tim and his shop checked out and seemed like the perfect fit. Tim arranged for the towing paid for it and when I asked him if he needed a large deposit he said no we'll settle up when he diagnoses the problem. Turned out I needed a total motor rebuild so I had him do it. His estimate was much more reasonable than than other shops quoted and used all M.B. parts. I also had him upgrade the suspension because it drove a bit like an old sailboat . Tim called me and kept me informed thru out the process, which was great. I recently flew to San Diego and picked it up. Tim gave me instructions on how to drive so that it would be broken in properly and I was on my way. The van ran perfect for the entire trip home and it handled more like a sports car than a boat, which is great unless your in the ocean. Tim checked with me twice during the drive to make sure it was going well. What a great guy I can't say enough about the great service and care I received from Tim and his team. I have a 2006 sprinter and have used sprinter pitstop several times now for repairs and maintenance. Their level of knowledge when it comes to sprinters is second to none. Andrew is the best. Super easy to work with and honest. Highly recommended!

I have had my Sprinter Van serviced 2x by Tim and his team @ Sprinter Pit Stop. They are very knowledgeable in sprinter vans, and get straight to the point. Sprinter Pitstop is the only place you should be taking your van in Southern California! I got rear custom leaf springs and a suspension upgrade put on my 2020 sprinter 2500 4x4 and I am beyond impressed at the upgrade. My van drives like it did the day I drove it off the lot before I added over 5000lbs with the buildout. Sprinter Pitstop was the only shop I called that had the parts in stock. Everywhere else said it would be a minimum of 6 weeks before they could get the parts in and get the job done. Sprinter Pitstop had me scheduled in a few days and got the entire job done in one day. They were a pleasure to deal with and made the entire experience as easy as it could possibly be. This is my new go to shop for my sprinter van!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Was recommended to use Sprinter Pitstop by Van Compass because I was struggling to get Ford to look at a suspension issue. It looks like maybe the issue started when I got the lift installed on our transit AWD three years ago because now that it s fixed it feels like a totally new van. Very happy with the service and speed to get me out the door. Will for sure go back in the future.

I ve had my van serviced all over the country and this is the only place I would go back to. Checked me in immediately with no appointment. Fixed a whole bunch of issues quickly while I waited. Definitely stop here on your road trip. Very helpful to the vanlife community.

I won't trust my 2008 Sprinter to just any mechanic. Sprinters are quirky, they require regular care and Tim and his crew provide that for me and my wife. In fact, I think San Diego sprinter owners are lucky we have a dedicated sprinter shop close to us. He's worked on my glow plugs, torque converter, suspension parts, he does my oil changes and he gives an honest assessment of what is needed and what is not. I've even been nearly stranded by a check engine light hundreds of miles away and I don't hesitate to text him and get his assessment, even if I've found a repair place where I'm at.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Auto glass repair, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

Sprinter Pitstop did an oil change and suspension upgrade on my 2020 Sprinter 2500. Tim was very helpful and his folks did an excellent job with my RV - Quality, turnaround time and responsiveness along with fair pricing is what I look for in a repair shop when needed. I needed to take my van in to use the Xentry system in order reset my DAS settings. This place is a no frills, straight to fixing your sprinter. They're knowlegeable and fast. Would recommend to any Sprinter owner.

Tim and Andrew are very professional guys here at Sprinter Pitstop. They installed espar s2. D 2 diesel heater in my sprinter. This place was the only one when I called and asked about this service said oh yeah no problem . They finished in one and half days and were very polite and kind.

Very impressive operation.My engine went out on my 08 sprinter and I needed immediate help.I decides to have Tim s shop install their new engine and could not be happier.The repair was done in record time and I am driving without any problems since my pick up.Couldn t be any happier and highly recommend the honest work.Feels good to be back on the road again.They certainly know what they doing!Thanks sprinter Pit stop.Service: Engine repair

I rarely leave reviews unless the experience was exceptional, and Sprinter Pitstop definitely met that bar. I called Friday afternoon needing an alignment and a fix for a weak parking brake. Tim was able to get me in Monday morning and the whole thing was said and done in a couple of hours. Mercedes quoted me $1400 to fix the parking brake and Sprinter Pitstop got it done for basically free while they were in there, since only an adjustment was needed.I also spent some time talking to Tim about my suspension and he a) definitely knows what he's talking about and b) does honest work instead of trying to rip people off.I wish all mechanics were like this, and I highly recommend Sprinter Pitstop.

I discovered some rust on the roof of my 2017 sprinter and wanted a good paint job to get rid of it. Tim looked at it and sent an estimate that was good. He also asked about general maintenance and so I decided to do the transmission fluid change with him as I was nearing the 50k miles. In addition he also looked at a speed governor that I have on my van. All of that was done very professionally in 1 week exactly following the estimate time for the work.
