Honesty, integrity, and pride!!! Darell and his team are quality technicians and will give you HONEST feedback. They stand behind their work. They have my highest recommendation!Update: Took my car for routine maintenance, Engine and inverter coolant flush and transmission fluid flush. In and out the same day, great price and once again quality work. Only car repair/service shop I trust.Service: Transmission

Took my 98 4Runner here for some weird road noise no other shop could diagnose and had an amazing experience. This shop diagnosed and fixed my 4Runner. They really take the time to explain what is wrong and what services are recommended moving forward with your vehicle. Will definitely be coming back!

I can't believe I just now heard of these guys. AWESOME service. Can't recommend enough. I see why people have been taking their vehicles to this shop for a long time. They got my 2007 4Runner diagnosed and repaired very efficiently. Kept me updated the whole time including an email of the full inspection report prior to installing parts. They were never pushy about doing extra work as they saw needed, just brought up extra issues they saw and asked me if I wanted to address those areas or not. Very fair prices and I will be going back to them for any future work.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

John, Darrell and the crew have been taking excellent care of our family's 4Runners for over 10 years (since moving to San Diego). Our first one was still running at over 300k miles when totalled. They're servicing our newest addition 4Runner since after the free service through the warranty ran out and will continue to be the only people we trust with our service needs.

Best shop EVER! John and Darrell are honest and knowledgeable. If you want it fixed/done correctly, this is the place! So good they make you want to buy Toyota/Lexus... Bottom line, they are the best!

Simply outstanding work. Honest, accurate evaluation of vehicle's needs and excellent repair and maintenance work. I highly recommend SD Trux for taking care of both maintenance and repair for Toyota vehicles. John and team have kept my 4Runner running incredibly well for several years and I m now happily over 310,000 miles!

Bought a used Tacoma that had a squeak under acceleration and some serious road noise. Did their overall $65 inspection. Best $65 I ve ever spent, they gave me a full report (with pictures) highlighting the issues and severity of each. I usually do all my own work (because nobody else can seem to do the job properly) but am very glad I took the chance on this place, the attention to detail was VERY good. They even caught a brake caliper pin inserted from the wrong direction (no functional problem but different from factory direction)They are very responsive, honest and I never felt pressured to do anything. Per their recommendation I had them do my front wheel bearings and a new driveshaft. Drives like a whole new truck. I asked and they only use Toyota OE parts for their repairs.Truly impressed with the shop and process as a whole. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

John and his staff are awesome, I had two good friends who recommended him and am thankful they did! I have the utmost confidence that when I bring my car to him that he will always be honest with me, give me a fair price, get the service done in a timely manner and treat me like I am a member of his family. A few years ago when my mom passed away, I took in her old car for John to take a look at it to make sure it was in good running condition (we were going to sell it to a family friend) and after spending about 30 minutes checking it out and saying it was in great shape, he would not take any type of payment and made sure I was ok in dealing with my mother's recent passing - needless to say, he got a customer for life.

This is the only Toyota specialist in San Diego that I trust with my '04 4Runner and my wife's '08 Camry. It is an absolute pleasure to deal with John on the phone- he actually understands the specifics of each of the vehicles he deals with, as compared with a service writer who may have no experience with mechanical issues.After absolutely PATHETIC experiences with multiple Toyota dealerships in the region, I needed a trustworthy shop and couldn't be happier. There is no pressure for unnecessary services at SD Trux - any legitimate issues are well described and, in my experience, repaired to factory or better than factory condition using OEM parts.My 4Runner has 175k hard pavement/off-road miles, and I fully expect it to crack 300k with the assistance of John and his team at SD Trux.

Used SD TRUX from 2011-2015 for our Sienna prior to a move to Wisconsin. Having worked in the automotive industry for 10 years, I'd like to think I know a little bit about vehicles, car service, and customer service. SD TRUX exceeded all expectations. Personnel turnover in the automotive industry is extremely high. Associate with someone who has roots and will be there for you time and time again (and save a little cash too). You'll find John personable, honest, and a pleasure to work with. His operation is a blessing for San Diego Toyota & Lexus owners.

This place is great! The owner staff and techs all know what they are doing and I have been taking my Tundra here since I bought it brand new. If you own a Toyota and want a reliable shop you can trust this is the place!

I have been taking my Lexus to San Diego Trux for many years , they are the best in San Diego, Honest and trustworthy.In fact one of the reasons my wife purchased a Lexus IS 250 so that we could take both of our cars to San Diego Trux!

Old guy at the front was having a bad day or something. Told me to schedule a service appointment if I had any questions. They're rates are a little high considering the quality competition in the area.
