They were professional and very helpful in my consultation for picking out the best options for my new stereo. Kevin was very hands on in making sure I got exactly what I wanted with the most capability. Once selected, the team was very quick for starting and finishing my install that afternoon, taking 1.5 hours when I was originally told it would be longer.I would highly recommend this establishment to my friends and family. Thank you for everything.

Excellent service and quality! Workmanship is great! Got a 2003 ML 500 vehicle upgraded to a new two Din system that supports Apple car play, map, audio, SXM, rear camera. Workmanship was excellent, time was very short to take care of it. Staff was very courteous. Would recommend them and would do business with them again if need arise

I just want to say I absolutely love what they have done far. They so far have installed a sub system, interior and exterior lighting, and i plan on doing more. They work hard and do their best to accommodate you. Highly recommend these guys to anyone wanting to add anything to their car.

I tried to give Kevin my business, but he never followed through on his word - that he would send me a price quote and get me rescheduled. I stopped by the shop and walked them through a fairly decent project I had in mind for my Sprinter van. I left with assurances I d get an email and phone call. Nothing. I called them back. Nothing - no follow through of any kind. Ultimately I took my business down the street to Car Stereo City off Clairemont Mesa Blvd., where I spent over $6k and had an amazing experience. San Diego Car Stereo gets Zero points for customer service in my experience.

Unfortunately I was not to remove my last review but Kevin the manager reached out to me. I really appreciate him taking the time to address my concerns and he made things right. I ended up purchasing 2 stereos and 2 sets of speakers. Thank you Kevin and San Diego Car stereo for restoring my faith in you guys

Great spot! Got the JL 12" with the build in amp inside the enclosure, they finished my car early and love my new system! Highly recommend their work!

This place is very nice. Once you enter you feel like you are entering a showroom. Customer service is amazing and I greatly appreciate the support/guidance. The owner was not only willing to support with any questions but gave me a radio pull key just out of generosity and kindness. I will be coming here very soon to get a quote for my wife s car for a new head unit or see if they can fix the current one.

Chris in Escondido was awesome, he gabmve me many options and when he had no stock he sent me to Kearny Mesa and hooked me up with Kevin who got me in and out. Great experience, highly recommend.

Not good. Installed a head unit 3 years ago, and the cd part wouldn't open properly, had to take it back 2 more times to get it to work. Now when I play my cds it starts skipping.

Kevin did an outstanding job installing a custom Apple car play stereo in my 1998 corvette! He beat the quote from sound check and stuck to it. Flawless work! 10/10 would recommend!

This place is a class act! I ve had work done on my corvette, Audi s4, and Porsche Macan. Kevin the manager takes the time to listen and learn what you are looking for and leaves your car in perfect condition. No scratching on headliners or rattling after the work is done. I d 100% recommend

San Diego Car Stereo gave me excellent customer service! I had an installation job that could have taken 2 days. I really needed my car back on the 1st day, so they made some adjustments to their schedule & got me all taken care of in a single day. The job was also done right with no corners cut. I am very pleased & intend to get more equipment installed there. I highly recommend San Diego Car Stereo!!

We met Kevin when we were in the middle of dealing with a bad experience with another, larger chain auto sound store. We were on the second recommendation from this store, finding that, for the second time, it was not doing what we were told it would do.Kevin asked us questions about what we were looking for, how we would use it (e.g., we take road trips and driving vacations), and what our problems were with the current and previous models. He listened to us and made sure he understood what we said. After understanding our needs and frustrations, he recommended some products and talked with us about why certain models where preferable to others based on our needs and usage.Ultimately we had Kevin remove the product the other store installed (their availability to provide warranty service was one of our issues) and purchased a whole new system from him. We've had it about one week now and I'm very happy so far. The few hiccups I believe are inherent to the product, as they are similar, but in smaller scale, to some of the problems we had with the other company.I can't recommend San Diego Car Stereo highly enough. Where the other company required we drop our car off for 2 days in order to install the stereo (drop off at store opening one day, pick up at closing the next day), Kevin has our new system installed in 2.5 hours.

Do not used this place for Stereo needs, they did a horrible job on installation, they were supposed to install the Amp underneath the seat, instead they crammed it up under the driver side dash, and did it with poor wiring. They replaced all of my 6 speakers and they were not fitted correctly, there were gaps in all of them. But most of all, they are over priced. They don't even deserve one star. Check out the photo.

Finally, a real car audio shop in SD!! Did a system for my fiance, I love the audio scene but am a little long in my days to be up under dashboards so I had a shop install it, they screwed it up bad, took it to a second shop, they made it even worse. Cost me way more chasing demons, finally got it to San Diego Car Audio. These guys are the best. Charged me right, top quality work and no corners cut. This is my car audio home in SD now, no contest. Thanks so much for being top of your field and doing it right!

had a great experience! took my gf's tacoma in for a stereo upgrade. pricing was straightforward, the owner was very knowledgable, and the service was done by the next day. now the truck bumps and is enjoyable to drive every day. highly recommend.

Paul was very friendly and knew his stuff. Did not try to bluff his way through meeting and was very knowledgeable. Also they are not forceful and dont pressure a sale . They take their time to help you pick the best product. I will come back here as it is now my shop of choice.

They helped upgrade my sound system for a crazy good price. They gave me quotes for everything else I needed. These guys know what they're doing and they did everything right! Extremely impressed by everything they did!

This was my first time coming to the store and it was in the middle of the week during noon time so it was not busy at all. When I came into the store, I was not greeted at all by two employees standing at the front desk who just stared at me and did not say a single word. It was not a big deal but I had to actually come up to the front desk and flag someone down after waiting around the main area for a couple of minutes. There was only one client being serviced in the store so I should of been serviced without asking.The employee that I eventually flagged down was nice and courteous and came out to my car to see my issue. I wanted to see if they could secure a secondary battery that had came loose and asked how much it would be to put it in a different area, preferably next to my main battery.The employee said it was a 100 dollars per hour for labor and said the job would be an estimated 500 dollars to move a battery to the back of my Dodge Charger where my main battery was. I asked them why it would take 4-5 hours to do that since it s been done in past for not even 1 hour of labor. I told them I had a secondary battery installed and fitted next to my main battery at a Dodge Dealership for practically nothing and felt as though the pricing estimate was way off and unfair.I felt as though maybe they were trying to scam me for such a simple job and were increasing labor prices due to slow business. In the past year or so, I have only paid 50 dollars or so an hour for labor at other places to fix or install minor things.Just the price alone made me feel as though this place is scamming people out of money. When I asked the employee when they could get it scheduled, he said it would take a week which I felt was a lie due to me questioning him about the estimate. After that, I thanked him and said I would look around. He gave me his business card and that was it.I would of gave it three stars had I been greeted and properly serviced but I did not feel welcomed and had to flag someone down. I can only imagine the final product/service if they did my battery when they can t even provide simple greeting at the door. I will definitely shop around some more and hopefully find a better place.

No idea of their service, once you get to them. Their website does not open in my iPad, and I cannot get through on the phone. It said Press 1 to be connected to your party . When I pressed 1 it said I m sorry we are unable to complete the call. It is easy to find lots of other businesses people to sell me a stereo!
