Had a great experience buying a used bike. I live 300+ miles away so the idea of "buying without touching the bike" made me a little nervous. Gary and Alberto put all my concerns to rest, and they were great on the phone. I put some money down and boughts a one-way ticket, to ride the bike home. My experience once I stepped into their shop was even better. Everyone was super helpful. Rode out with the bike and 7 hours later arrived home loving both the bike and the experience.

Good group of gearheads over at San Diego BMW motorcycles. Was treated like family from the time i was just browsing a few months ago up until i finally joined the club on saturday with my new purchase. Pretty vast selection of new and used. To top things off many resturaunts to choose from close by to check out afterwards!

I have consistently chosen BMW of Escondido for my bike maintenance, always receiving exceptional service. However, due to the distance, I decided to try the San Diego location. Unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. My motorcycle had an oil leak, and I needed to order a new key. In short, they successfully addressed the leaking issue but encountered complications with the key order, resulting in an unnecessary delay. To compound matters, they kept my motorcycle in the shop for several days due to a key problem. Keeping a bike for a key issue, especially one they ordered incorrectly, seemed unwarranted. Moreover, the customer service experience was subpar. My contact, Omar, and seemingly the entire service team, appeared disinterested or perhaps unhappy. Communication was virtually nonexistent, leaving me uninformed about the status of my bike or when I could expect its return. The lack of transparency and poor communication, coupled with what seemed like disengaged staff, made for an overall unsatisfactory experience. Regrettably, I won't be returning to this BMW dealership for future service, as the customer service fell short of expectations.

I took my G650GS in for a oil and filter change. I mentioned to Omar that there was an oil drip (one drop per ride).Oil and filter change $164.94, oil leak diagnostic $175.00.The total to "fix" the oil leak was $989.96, on top of the $175.00 diagnostic fee. There were several line items and labor. Totally acceptable, if it actually addressed the oil leak. When I got the bike back, I immediately noticed it was actually dripping probably two to three drops per ride. The oil leak was actually worse! The current leak seems to be coming from under the right side chain cover (the first picture shows some oil). This side cover needed to be removed for the oil change. Not only did the mechanic use a non-oem replacement washer, they forgot to install a different bolt (second picture).I never noticed this oil leak prior to taking the bike in for this service. I think I would have noticed this coming down the side case. So, I paid $989.96 to stop an oil leak, and that didn't work. Now they want thousands more to pull the engine and fix the leak on the right side.I asked Omar why this wasn't addressed in the first $175.00 diagnostic fee. He told me there was too much oil on that side of the engine to see it. Does that make any sense? If there is oil on the outside of the engine, maybe there's an issue there. Like I said before, I don't think oil was leaking from there before I took the bike in.In my opinion, it's not a coincidence oil is leaking from the same area where they did shoddy work.Another thing that rubs me the wrong way is the flippant attitude Omar has about my time. They use a non-oem washer and forget to install a bolt, and all he has to say is bring the bike back, leave it, and they'll fix it. What about my time, inconvenience and paying for the rides back and forth.I make it a practice not to patronize low quality, dishonest businesses. There are many other motorcycle repair facilities that do honest work and care about their clientele. I won't be going back to San Diego BMW Motorcycles unless management changes the way they treat their customers.P.S. I own several motorcycles. This is my second BMW. If this engine does need all these repairs to stop the engine from leaking oil at 8000 miles, shame on BMW. Maybe they're not the quality motorcycle they used to be.

As soon as I walked in to drop off my bike for a service appointment, I was immediately assisted by Troy (Service Manager). Great guy who also recommended a good deli down the block while I waited for service to be completed. Bike was delivered on time as promised and now runs like new after 6k mile service and new Pirelli rubber front and rear.Excellent service, trustworthy mechanics, and good pricing. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for a BMW bike, this is the place to get it, a few months later til I got the chance to give them this review. I can't be any happier, go see Alberto in Sales to get your bimmer bike, no pressure to sell you anything, will answer all of your questions and if there is a demo bike available, you will get to test ride a demo. Loving my 2020 R1250GSA HP

These guys are incredible. Hands-down the best professionals I have ever worked with. Alberto stayed late to finalize a sale with me and the owner has bent over backwards to ensure I am satisfied. Buying from them has felt like buying from friends.

Can I add a zero stars rating? The customer service is bad (Omar). Brought my bike, spent 4,000 dollars and the mechanic took my bike under the rain, ruined a brand new exhaust (water marks left by the rain) and didn't even think the bike could get dirty - rusty screws all over the bike now. I complained about the bike being trashed, the attitude of Omar at customer service desk was unprofessional to say the least - and was told it was hard to hire hispanic speaking employees (Good for business). The following day, I received a phone call from the customer service lead and was offered a detailing job at my next visit - Next visit? Terrible customer service, no thank you!

I am on an overland Moro trip from Seattle to Chile. I went down hard around the salton sea and needed repairs. When I got to the dealer I was looking at 3-4 days to get my parts. This means I was going to spend as much money waiting at a hotel as the cost of the parts. The guys there took mercy on me and robbed them from a demo. Vic, and Ski took awesome care of me. Can t say enough good about those guys. The service manager whose name I do not remember was also instrumental in getting me back to my adventure. Made it to La Paz guys, much thanks! Ps the bike is again in need of your help but will have to make it to Mexico City as is. Thanks again!

When you first walk in there is no greeting and everyone seems busy, however after you get someone they are super friendly and helpful. So, kind of a weird experience as a customer but I am more than satisfied after all. Angelo was amazing.

Five Star BMW dealer - Home, Troy, and Alberto were all TOP NOTCH. I worked to close a deal with Alberto. He was knowledgeable and spent lot of time going over things with me and helping me make a decision. Great team there in San Diego.

Went there this morning for a customer swap meet. Nice bikes, free coffee inside. Unfortunately, their bikes are too expensive for me.

Shoddy service center; the older gentlemen is great and very helpful but today i went in trying to order front brake pads and had someone different and proceeded to have an argument with a rep who refused to acknowledge there was any difference between an hp4 and standard s1000rr. He corrected me every time I tried to tell him my bike was an HP4 model and said there s no difference. Says right on the official bmw Motorrad website that the front brakes for the two have different part numbers and that they don t fit one another but apparently I m wrong and so is that site and there s no difference between the two bikes besides how many letters are in the name. The brake pads don t even look the same. The standard pads come in two separate pieces per side whereas the hp4 is in a single piece. Will do business somewhere else before I end up with the wrong parts on my motorcycle.

Easiest transaction ever ! Bought the bike on the internet after talking to the sales staff on the phone (Home) and they even put on the phone one of their techs that told me everything about the bike. Description was right on ! Thank you again and definitely will look you up next time I'm looking for another one !Bobby D

Amazing experience. Called before and they had the motorcycle ready when I got there. Alberto was wonderful and made the process fast and easy. He even gave me a few goodies, including at shirt, bag, and bandana. I definitely recommend coming here

One star would be one too many, (But it wouldn't let me post without it). I walked in, looked around, and found a bike that I was very much a fan of. I sat on the bike...walked around the shop...Looked at a few other bikes.. Sat on the bike of my preference.. Spent close to a half our in the shop.. Saw at least 3 people working on the front side, (even saw a sales rep walk a customer out with the bike he just bought). Not even a hint of eye contact. It's ok. I get it. My 22k isn't worth it to this shop. I guess I'm not their type of customer.

Very friendly dealership, knowledgeable staff. Always amazes me that BMW dealerships have no problem letting you demo $25K to $30K bikes but try to test ride a run of the mill Honda or Triumph at one of their dealers and it's like you're asking for the world. No pressure here, good range of both new and used bikes with a selection of non-BMW used machines. Prices on used are fair, not cheap but not asking the earth either. No sneaky added dealer markup like lots of dealers. Would definitely buy from these guys.

Great motorcycle shop. Very professional staff. Owner is one of the most well-versed "all things motorcycle" guys in town. They have a great selection of BMW bikes and a really good selection of pre-owned as well. If you are new to motorcycling or a 50-year rider, these guys can help you find your next bike.

Unbelievable worse costumer experience!!! In the service department is a particular employer working who is so unfriendly and unprofessional! I was so disappointed from this BMW experience, getting the feeling that you are not welcome and that you also have no clue about bikes. This dealership should intensely consider which are the people who have direct interaction with costumers.

Very knowledgeable staff and sales people. I am very happy to do business here. They go extra mile to help to riders. Service manager Troy is above and beyond. They make every customer feel special, not just me. I watched and listened these guys and I determined that, they are the best in California..

New to the area. Brought my bike in for an annual check up. The service guys were very helpful and knowledgeable. They scheduled me in quickly and I was impressed with the whole transaction. They made me feel like I had been coming there for years. When my bike was given back to me they even cleaned it nicely. Jason explained everything that was done and pointed out a few things for me to keep an eye on. A+ service and I have owned many bikes and dealt with many service departments.(Decided to give this online rating thing a try Yelp filtered my review. Will use this from here out, seems more legit.)

Sales manager is awesome, down to earth, loves motorcycles and is very knowledgeable. The man who does the financing, also a great guy who loves bikes, knows his stuff and is super friendly. Rarely do I come in here and see these guys not smiling. The bikes speak for themselves. Bought my R nine t here and 33k miles later, I'm still in love with it.

Customer Service sucks. If there was a different San Diego BMW Mortorsports location, I'd go there. This store will not help you. They are snobby and entitled. If you're not spending $20,000 on a new motorcycle, they don't care about your business or relationship. I will not be spending anymore money at this BMW as a BMW motorcycle owner.

Sales and service teams went above and beyond for me with the 2 bikes I've bought over the years. There's a closer BMW motorcycles location to me, and I personally drive farther to come here because the staff is very pleasant to deal with, have a professional attitude & look after your interests first.

My experience with San Diego BMW Motorcycles is gratifying because the owner, Gary Orr, is a hands on owner who genuinely understands the importance of interacting with his customers. My story is worth hearing. I show up to the dealership to get a valve adjustment at a fair price when I get approached by the owner. Being that I was a salesman for over 12 years, I said the salesman is just doing his job by asking me how I am doing and if I would like to test-drive a new BMW motorcycle. Purchasing over 24 vehicles in my life, I smiled and said my motorcycle is in service. I asked him if he was a salesman and he said I am the owner. That was pretty impressive considering some of the reviews I have read about customers not being approached who are interested in purchasing a bike. Gary, the owner, spent a good 25 minutes discussing an old BMW I would like to put back together and sell. After the conversation concluded, he gave me his card and told me to send him some pictures of the bike and lets see what it is worth. While waiting for my bike I enjoyed the hospitality and setting of the dealership. When it came time to pay for the service, I had some questions for the service writer and technician which were explained and I was not happy with the service writer. Since the owner demonstrated his commitment toward excellent customer service during my visit, he came outside and asked me what happened and how service can be improved. My point is when the leadership of an organization is committed to excellent customer service, defusing a frustrated customer by just listening to their concern goes a long way and leaves a lasting impression for customers to return for business. The misunderstanding of the service charge was resolved very quickly and I plan to continue servicing my R1200RT at San Diego BMW Motorcycles as long as Gary Orr is the owner. This is the second BMW Motorcycle dealership I have used to service my bike and San Diego Motorcycles is by far more honest and reliable.

Great service department with talented technicians. I had experienced problems with warranty items that Troy was more than willing to help me out with. The sales staff are all seasoned Riders and very knowledgeable about the product they are selling. The parts department has a employee that is not really into customer service.
