Ron is amazing! He makes you feel like you have a trusted mechanic in the family. I was a loyal patron of his services when I used to live in San Diego and when I had car trouble on a recent trip over he was obviously the first one I thought of. I was over for my Grandma's funeral and on the last day my clutch was completely obliterated rendering me unable to drive back to Phoenix. Ron was able to give my car some priority given the situation and got it done in 2 days! Amazing! Ron is always honest and does his best to give you an appraisal that will both save you money but also give you a great reliable outcome for your vehicle. Only negative is that I can't clone him and bring him to Phoenix.

Ron and his crew have been the absolute best for our multiple cars for well over a decade now! From new to high mileage, and city to commuter cars, we have a place go to for all the service Ron s clinic offers- regular oil changes to engine repairs! I continue to return especially because trust is hard to find in auto care, returning regardless of moving out of the neighborhood. The service is high quality and thorough, the communication is transparent, prices are very fair, all staff is kind, and it s supporting small business. This place is a very rare gem to find. We are grateful for Ron s Auto Clinic!

Ron and his crew are fantastic. I've been bringing my car here for the last few years and they are, by far, the most honest, knowledgeable, and skilled shops I've ever been to. I always encourage my friends and family to pay them a visit for their automotive needs and so should you!!

I would highly recommend Ron's Auto Clinic for their honest and reliable service as well as affordability. I've been bringing my car to Ron's for over 3 years and I always trust their assessment and know that the work has been done correctly and at a fair price. In the past, I have definitely experienced the pain of taking my car to a shop that either felt they could take advantage of me or didn't resolve my car repairs the right way. I am always assured that the mechanics at Ron's are truly taking care of my car with my safety in mind. I spoke with Danny about some minor damage to my daughters car that I thought I had caused while borrowing it. Danny was so kind- he offered to look at it the very next morning and see what they could do. The kindest, most personable, rapid service I have encountered from any business in a very long time! Highly recommended.

I remember my first time going to Ron's... my truck was only starting intermittently and I had no idea why. He popped the hood and basically called me back to say "Your battery terminals just came loose. Come pick up your truck." Haha! I knew right then I found an honest place.I've gone to Ron's for a good few years now. Thankfully I haven't needed him much! But in the few times I've had him service my vehicle, it's been a great experience. Ron is very direct, but I appreciate that about him. He isn't afraid to say "This is what I would do if it were my car", but in the same breath hold you accountable for making a decision. He doesn't have a crystal ball, so all he can do is give his best recommendation and then prioritizes with you if you can't afford all repairs. He is huge on your safety though, and some things he is not willing to make an exception on. I can respect that.Speaking of affordability, Ron's prices are incredibly reasonable. He quoted me about $500 for a pretty big brake job. Just to do due diligence, I called around and even shopped the parts alone, there was no way I could have gotten another professional mechanic to beat his estimate.Every time I have gotten work done here, I walk away feeling good. Both about the money invested in my vehicle as well as the quality of work received. Finding a good mechanic is like finding a good dentist... when you find one you like, you don't go anywhere else!PS. His staff is awesome as well. Ron and Danny are the best. They have great customer service, truly explain everything, and never make me feel like they're pulling something on me. We've been going to them for years and our cars run great (13 year old and 6 year old cars).

Honestly just knowing this place exists for me to go to for car stuff brings me genuine mental peace. Ron and the guys are extremely on point and efficient, they are very honest, genuine and down-to-earth. I had a weird noise that kept coming up, and Ron and I went for a drive on the spot to square it away - never seen this kind of service anywhere before. Having interacted with them previously it was made known that I personally am very receptive to as much information/knowledge as possible, and Ron happily explained to me everything, that too very intuitively. Cant say enough great things about place - my go to spot for repairs in the San Diego area. Its not a swanky/flashy location, but they get the right job done quickly, honestly, and at really fair prices + they take care of their customers - I genuinely couldn't care for any more than that.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, A/C installation & repair

I have been going to Ron's Auto Clinic for a few years now. They are friendly people to speak with. Ron is great about informing you of issues to be worked on and he will tell you what is critical vs can wait. This is why I am happy to have them work on my vehicle.UPDATE: I have a new car and Ron's is where I will continue to take it for maintenance and repair. They are still aces in my book.

A friend recommended Ron's to me and Ive had several good experiences bringing my cars to them, 1st with my 2001 Toyota Rav 4 and now with my 2013 Highlander. I generally bring my car to the dealer for scheduled maintenance and then the dealer lets me know what issues my car is having or may have. I bring my car to Ron's for those services (brake replacement, fuel line cleaning etc.) and that saves me quite a bit! I feel Ron's Auto Clinic prices are fair and they make the process of car repair pleasant. Plus, I recently messed up my bumper a little but and it was flapping around a little and they fixed that without me even asking about it at my most recent visit. That was super nice!

I ve been going to Ron s for about five years and highly recommend. They are honest, fairly priced, accurate with time estimates, and extremely courteous. I absolutely trust them and go out of my way to bring my car there since I no longer live in the neighborhood.

My husband and I found Ron's Auto Clinic after hearing recommendations from our neighbors. My teen daughter had been given her grandmother's old car and it had a lot of problems. Ron was very open and honest about what was worth fixing and when it was time to cut our losses and get a newer car for her. We now bring all of our family cars to Ron, even just for basic oil changes. The place is not fancy, but more than makes up for it in service. Everyone who works there is polite and absolutely professional in everything they do. They even call two weeks later to make sure everything is still good with your car, even after something so simple as an oil change!If I could give more stars than 5 I would.

They are amazing! I've been going to Ron's since I moved here over 3 years ago because they came highly recommended. They are honest, incredibly fair, and kind people. I just moved further away but make the 45 minute drive because of how much trust I have for their work.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Danny in particular had excellent customer service and was very nice. I used to go to Express Tires to get my oil changed and every time I did, they would come back with a whole list of things my car needed. I have a friend at work who referred me to Ron's and I took it in for an evaluation. Ron did such a great job of explaining what my car needed, what could wait until I could afford to have done and called me with an estimate on the brakes. I did have my front brake pads replaced, rotors turned, and he adjusted and cleaned the back brakes and hand brake too. The cost was so reasonable I couldn't even believe how great I'm feeling with the work he performed on my car. The other projects are a bit costly, so I have time to save aside and have them done in about 3 months. I would recommend Ron's Auto Clinic to any and everyone who likes an honest place to take their vehicle. Thank you Ron, Danny and team for such a great job.

Ron's Auto Clinic is exactly the type of mechanic shop that I have been looking for all my life! Seriously, the days of honest mechanics who take pride in their work and care more about the customers instead of a profit are long gone....so I thought, until I met Ron and his amazing staff. He was honest about my situation, explaining to me the common defects in the car I drive, and the recommendations on how to best correct the issues. It will be a sad day when I move away from San Diego because finding a new mechanic wherever I end up will be extremely difficult considering the big shoes they will have to fill.

I've been to Ron's a few times for oil changes/maintenance and absolutely love it here. Every is nice, professional, and upfront about the costs. I highly recommend this place and am taking in my wife's car soon!

I brought my 2004 Subaru Legacy to Ron and his team when it was in need of more than a few repairs, I had just towed a trailer from Seattle to San Diego with it and there were a lot of noises to be diagnosed. I dropped it off in the morning and by mid day was on the phone with Ron and he was going over the list of repairs, I couldn t afford all of them and he took the time to actually think about my vehicle and my situation and helped me decide what was a top priority and what could wait. The next day I picked my car up and it was running like a dream, drives like its brand new! Thanks so much Ron, Danny and JJ!

Ron and his staff have always been great. I've been going there for about 2 years now. I've always felt like I've been treated honestly. It's a little hard to find. The garage sits down in a hole off the street . It's easy to miss when looking for it. We have 3 cars and the service has always been good.

Excellent AAA+ service with a smile. Ron is there every day from dawn till dusk and beyond making sure each person and their vehicle gets treated right! Extra hard working and accurate. Simply the best auto shop around!

I had brakes installed on my FJ cruiser last summer at Rons. A few months ago they started to squeal when I backed out of my driveway. There wasnt alot of wear on them and Ron replaced them free or charge. I appreciate their kind, honest, and speedy service with reasonable prices. Go there!

Ron's is on top of their game for sure. Very communicative, even though they are really busy (which is a good thing). I feel good bringing my truck here because I know they won't overcharge and will do everything needed.

I doubt anyone looks forward to going to the dentist or the mechanic, but I trust Ron. He knows cars. For many years, he's been giving me good advice - what needs to be done now, and what can wait. Try Ron, you'll like him.

Ron's Auto Clinic has fixed two persistent problems that I was not able to get resolved at other shops. They really know their stuff, they're very thorough and they take the time to explain the details to you. I took my wives Jeep here to get a water pump replacement. We made an appointment for the first available hour they had of the day (8am) . They were late (about 40 minutes), and then when they finally got the vehicle we were told it would only take a few hours. Fast forward it is 4pm I call because I am concerned about how long it is taking (they close at 5pm) and said that they needed to get a part and that they were going to go send someone to pick up the part. We ended up not getting the car back until about 7pm. My wife ended up picking the vehicle up and came back home. Later when I asked her how much it cost it was over $600 for a water pump. The receipt showed that the main cost was the labor (which was expected), but what wasn't expected was the time frame it took. They charged us for 5 hours of labor and said they gave us a discount.I personally have replaced water pumps before, but couldn't work on our Jeep since moving to San Diego we weren't familiar with a place to diy repairs for vehicles. I am not an experienced mechanic, but know that I could accomplish the task in 5 hours. The reason to pay for someone else to do these types of jobs is because they should be able to complete the task quickly and professionally. They didn't call us to let us know there was issues getting a part. They didn't update us at all. We had to call every single time to pry information out of them and then at the end of it all they charged us for the labor time it would take to teach an amateur to do the work. We live right around the corner from this shop and if we had a good experience we would love to do more business with them. It would be incredibly convenient and mutually beneficial, but due to the horrible communication and poor pricing ethics we won't be taking any of our vehicles here again.
