Had my non-starting truck towed to Robert's at night and when I called the next morning they were already diagnosing it. They were able to source a back-ordered fuel pump, do the repair, and get me back on the road the next day. Excellent service and communication.

The team at Roberts is amazing. They always take the time to explain exactly what the issue is and give me options based on my budget. I ve gone to Robert s for years now for anything from an oil change to major issues and they re always fast and complete quality work! I recently had several issues with a new used car and Christian took the time to explain the issue, help me with options and made me feel safe about my purchasing choice. I ll always go back here for and would recommend to anyone looking for a shop to trust!!

I have been taking my car to Robert's for everything my car has needed, from regular services to more serious issues, for going on 4 years now and refuse to go anywhere else. They always provide very thorough, high quality work, and I leave with peace of mind knowing that my car is well taken care of and safe to drive. I'm a very happy and loyal customer, and recommend Robert's to all my friends and family in the area.

Robert's always does their best to give an affordable option to fix your car. Never a good time for a transmission to go out. Car has 220k miles on it. Could not afford a total rebuild. Luckily, they were able to track down a low milage Transmission that could fit in my car. Repair was costly but more manageable and affordable than a rebuild. Now I'm back on the road again.

I brought my truck in for a leak & Robert's Auto & did every test to see where it was. Come to find out, I had overfilled my coolant reservoir. They were sweet & didn't make me feel stupid. They only charged me for the diagnostic. They let me know that there are a few issues that need to be addressed in the future which I will address. I have been going to Robert's for over 10 years & will never leave them. Thank you Christian & the rest of the crew for your kindness & honesty.Service: Auto maintenance

WOW! Christian took such great care of me. My car had TONS of things wrong with it and I didn't know where to start. He walked me through each and every one of the repairs needed, organized them in order of priority and gave me a very reasonable quote for getting all of the work done. For the amount of work that needed to get done, I was expecting them to have the car for a week or more, but they didn't. They got it all done in just two days, and the car drives perfectly now. Roberts has been keeping all four of our family cars in excellent condition for over 15 years. Their mechanics are experts, they have fair pricing and are trustworthy. I especially appreciate their ability to provide accurate diagnostics.Everyone who works there is super friendly and easy to talk to. They are great at explaining concerns in layman s terms when discussing repair options.I highly recommend Roberts Automotive.

The most trustworthy auto repair in SD. I ve been going there for nearly twenty years. Three times I ve taken a vehicle there and they could not replicate the issue and called me to just come pick it up. (Instead of charging me for something that wasn t wrong). I highly recommend.

From the moment I called I got top notch customer service. James was very helpful and honest. I m a local from here and live in Pacific Beach, this was very convenient. Well known business. * I actually would have drove here from another part of San Diego to get my service done.I got my Brakes done & my Air Conditioning Compressor was going out. This is my first visit. I moved recently to La Jolla. I checked with my mechanic up north who recommended Robert s Auto Repair, also on Nextdoor and neighbors. Being AAA approved helped me to make this decision They treated me very professionally and wonderful customer service. Very busy garage and can understand why. Christian took the time to help my grandson back into a busy street and James gave me sound advice.I highly recommend Robert s Auto Repair Shop on Mission in San Diego. This was my 1st time going to Robert's auto shop we took our 2000 Toyota Tacoma for a 220K mile check up and inspection, as we have neglected it for a bit since it's our baja truck. We dropped off the truck at 8am and the next day Christian called and went through everything in such great detail for me to understand.Christian had amazing customer service and I appreciated how thorough he was at describing each action that needed to be taken to get the truck back up in prime condition. I gave him the go ahead to do all the repairs. Christian called again when the truck was done, which only took a couple days with the list of things that needed to get done. We were not able to pick up the truck during office hours but it was great they have an after hour Lock Box pick up option which is very convenient. I will definitely be coming back to bring my 2017 Toyota 4 runner here for any maintenance.Note for parking - It is very tight in the front but there is additional parking in the back. They also have a great courtesy shuttle for when you drop off your car the driver was very nice and took me home :)Thank you!

In three earlier. separate visits, we have had Robert's Auto Service replace the front struts, radiator, catalytic converter and rear struts on our '04 Toyota Camry. No follow-up problems whatsoever with the repairs. Excellent repair work and expert, friendly, helpful information, consultation, recommendation from the top-notch service advisors. This week,, we took our 2016 Toyota Rav-4 Hybrid in for a 10K serviceI All work done carefully, correctly and timely each isit. Worst car service ever , don t be deceived by the reviews they called us to tell us what the price was for the service after take car apart the price was very high, but we decided to approve the service. The following day the told us that they needed an additional 600 dollars for the issue! And told us that the part was used. We denied service and when they put car together it didn t move, so they made it worse!

This is by far the best place I found in San Diego. I took my car to a few mechanics, including the dealership, and none could figure out the vibration/noise. Within an hour at Roberts, they figured it out and sent me video of the issue and communicated efficiently. Fair pricing, honest business. Highly recommend. I brought my 2016 Chevy Tahoe here for an oil change, brake fluid flush/change, and to check why the "service 4x4" message was appearing intermittently. They were able to diagnose the issue with the transfer case motor for the 4x4 and the replacement part and labor cost was very reasonable. The oil change and brake fluid change was also very reasonable in cost. While there they noticed my battery was about to go dead and I had them change my battery as well which I was grateful for as I had noticed the start was a little sluggish but hadn't thought about it much.I'm glad I brought my car here as they team were very professional, courteous, and the overall experience was stress-free and didn't break the bank. I used to only service my car at the dealerships but not anymore, Robert's will now be my go to spot for all auto maintenance/repair needs.Services: Auto battery replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

I called them on a Friday and was able to drop my car off Monday! They ordered the parts and fixed everything very fast- had my car back Tuesday after work. They were very communicative & took time to explain everything to me. They repaired my front brakes & a belt that had worn down. Robert's Auto Service replaced the clutch on my 99 Tacoma 4x4 on the same day. $1400 was a killer price, especially with the new flywheel and warranty. Christian set up my appointment at Robert's Auto, then booked my reservation at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, which included a nice discount. I feel kinda guilty cheating on my regular pro truck mechanic, but I'll still return to Robert's for my big repairs. We all make those boat payments to trusted, certified car fixers to secure premium service, along with quality parts and professionalism. And in the case of Robert's Auto Service you'll get what you paid for.Service: Transmission replacement

I did not have my vehicle serviced here, but from my first contact with one of their representatives, Keith, I experienced a warm and pleasant process with clear expectations. Through continued dealings with Robert's Auto Service, I received communicative updates from Christian, another Robert's Auto Service staff member, as new information developed. Again, I was met with the same welcoming demeanor; and even when I had to end my transaction with Robert's Auto Service, James was extremely helpful and accommodating. EVERYONE I encountered at this establishment behaved in the same welcoming manner. This is even more impressive as, again, I did not get my car serviced here. Kudos to whomever developed this culture, and acquired the right people to match. I wish circumstances would have allowed me to give them my business. If Robert's Auto Service's work is as thorough as their customer service, I know the results would reflect that. Thanks to Keith, Christian, James, and the entire Robert's Auto Service team. HIGHLY recommend.

This is my third visit to Robert's Auto Shop. James, Juan, and Dan "The Man" were a pleasure to work with. From scheduling a convenient appointment time to completing the repairs, every part of this transaction was smoothly executed by the team at Robert's! The shuttle service was prompt and convenient. Perhaps most impressively, they came in almost a hundred dollars under the stated price. I consider myself blessed to be a patron of this local institution. 5 stars is truly an understatement!

Robert s Auto Service did a great job! My car wouldn t start and AAA couldn t get my car To start. Although they were busy, I felt they were timely in getting my car in, diagnosing the issue and getting it road ready again. It was a confusing issue because apparently I have 2 batteries in my car and the main battery was not showing any issues. Once they determined the one connected to my starter was bad they fixed it right away and kept it overnight to make sure there was no battery drain. I can t thank them enough because my husband is deployed and he usually fixes these things for me. I wouldn t hesitate to call Robert s if I have car troubles again.Service: Battery

Last week was my first experience at Roberts Auto, and I can't recommend them enough. I had a general inspection completed after an oil change at another shop left me wondering about all kinds of potential repairs. Keith was so nice; He was a good listener, and patient from the moment of my first phone call - full of explanations for what I thought might be wrong with my car - to the moment I left the shop. He graciously performed a thorough inspection and assured me my car was OK. He even explained his philosophy regarding making repairs or not. I appreciate that he didn't scam me or take advantage of my limited knowledge of cars, and that he tolerated my anxiety.The location was also nice and welcoming. I'll be going here for my next oil change, as he promised he'd keep an eye on everything he documented. This was the most positive experience imaginable!Service: General repairs & maintenance
