Bob, the mechanic, kept me well informed throughout the day.He called early to tell me what repairs he needed to fix and provided very accurate estimates. He also gave me options. I felt that Ray Frey Auto Service Center was worth taking their advice.Also I had him remove the fogged corrosion from the plastic head light coverings. They actually look brand new. It is easy to communicate with the shop owner, personnel and mechanics. Thank you.

Ray is extremely helpful, knowledgable and honest! He worked with me to understand all the issues with my older car and decide if any or a subset of the repairs are worth it. Excellent service and a great experience. Strongly recommend!

I recently took my 2015 Jeep into Ray Frey Auto Center and could not be more pleased with my decision. They offered continuous support and explained to me what the issue with the car were. Their pricing was great and my car runs as smooth as ever. I would recommend Ray Frey to anyone who needs work on their car. Great work and great people.

Came in on a very busy day to check an oil leak. Unlike my car before repairs, this place works like a well oiled machine. They were able to identify the problem and replace the proper parts within a few hours. I was quoted a very fair price for labor and parts. Added bonus, they cleaned my car before pickup!This is the second time I have been to Ray Frey and both times I've been very satisfied with my interactions with front desk and mechanic staff. Very clear communication with no games you sometimes see at dealership service centers.Timely, courteous, fair, and thorough.

BEST MECHANIC IN SAN DIEGO!!!! stopped in on a whim to check my AC unit because he was recommended & he checked it out during his busy schedule. He fit me in and fixed it all within an hour! Love how honest and real this place is. Not only do I have a new trustworthy mechanic I also have a trustworthy guy to ask any advice regarding my car.

I was so lucky to find Ray Frey through a friend of a friend who highly recommended them because of their honesty and ability to diagnose & repair vehicles right the first time. Ray & Teresa listened and asked great questions to help them understand what had been going on with my car. Once they fully diagnosed my vehicle, they gave me a detailed explanation helping me understand what was wrong with my car and prioritize repairs. Without a doubt, Ray Frey offers excellent customer service, honest advice and great workmanship. I will continue to bring my business back to Ray Frey.

The driver, Butch (?) is great. He got me home after I dropped my car off and came to pick me up when the work was finished. He insisted on opening up my car door for me. What a gentleman! This transportation service is a great perk of using Ray Frey Auto.

Took my car here for the first time. Dropped it off at night, they called me with the issue and quote by about 8:30 am the next morning and had it ready for me to pick up by about 1 pm. Super fast, efficient and courteous service. Would definitely recommend.

Ray Frey auto center is the pinnacle of family owned business. They treat you like family and are far above the standard for customer service. My needs were meet effectively and immediately. I have trusted Ray with all my cars for years. I get honost advice and not an upsell or sales pitch. As i sat in the lobby today I listened to him help 2 different people, one he spent 5 min doing some research on the guys problem and told him what to go do and if that didnt solve the problem..then to come back.

As usual, Ray Frey Auto gave us excellent service at a very fair price. Ray took the time to find a replacement part for our older model Ford Taurus so that we could continue to safely drive it while we looked for a newer vehicle. Such a great place. Ray, the owner, knows his stuff. His mechanics are highly qualified. This shop is honest.Before moving to Texas, Ray made sure that our vehicles could make the trip across country. He fixed all of the issues that might have plagued us during our trip. Our trip was completely uneventful which is just the way we wanted it.If you need work done on your car, do not hesitate to use Ray Frey Auto Center! I had an excellent experience! Everyone there was very professional. I received phone calls for authorization before services were performed after diagnosis was complete. There was no fixing the vehicle and getting a surprise estimate/bill at pick up. The office and waiting area was very clean and the work bay area was also spotless and well equipped. Many of the folks working there have decades of experience under their belts, and gave me a very confident feeling of competence of their abilities at this place of business. They even gave my car a nice wash before handing it back. Nice touch. Another great experience at Ray Frey Auto Center. Oil change included a car wash today. Called ahead to confirm it was ok to not have an appointment, in and out quickly and price was worth not doing it at home myself. I have used Ray Frey for more than 5 years for my automotive repair needs and service. The crew there is friendly, efficient, and upfront about the cost of services. I trust them a great deal more than the car dealership where I purchased my car. My cars are all over 10 years old, so that routine maintenance is essential to keep them running in good shape.Service: General repairs & maintenance
