Brought a car here for a pre-buy inspection. Granted, it was the seller s mechanic. They did not catch frame damage, corroding battery, or path for water to enter. I bought the car for at least 1.4x its value because of this.

The first time I came to the shop, I needed work on my exhaust system to get it smogged.Then I needed a new clutch, then a water pump (I should probably get a new car) and I've come here every time.The work they do is timely, the price is always fair, but above all else, they are kind and care about their customers.100% recommend.Service: Engine repair

Awesome place to go to for many of your care needs!Nasser is an amazing mechanic with lots of experience and genuine care towards every car that comes in. I came in to get my front brakes replaced at an affordable price while receiving great advice and guidance towards taking care of my car. As someone who doesn't know much about cars, it's good to have someone you can trust help provide your vehicle with the best options available, because it's something I'm sure we're all dependent on. I m so happy I found this place! Nasser was so honest and open throughout my service, he explained everything and recommended how to maintain my check-ups. I m so pleased with his service, being a woman it s hard to find an honest mechanic that doesn t take advantage so I really appreciated his honesty. His service was quick and he went an extra mile by refilling my tires with air and checking the life on my battery and fuses. He also helped me with a thorough price check on replacing my rear brakes and he helped me find reasonably priced new/used tires. I absolutely recommend his service! Thank you Nasser!

I have an 08 dodge caravan. I originally went here to get my radiator done and my oil change. Ended up getting what I originally needed and more. I also got my EGR valve replaced and my rear breaks. This place is awesome. Nasser was amazing. He took the time to explain every step, Josh worked his magic on my van and got in running smooth and John is crazy, but freaking awesome he made the stay interesting and fun and he's big on safety. Like I said their amazing on explaining every step. I would not hesitate to bring my cars there for service again. If you want quality work and a shop that doesn't try to break your wallet. I recommend Protech. Thanks Guys!

I d recommend Nasser and his team at Protech Auto Care as the best service shop and people in all San Diego. I haven t tried them all, no, but they are that good. The service, the recommendations he offers, the pricing and his care for you/your care. It s also his work and service throughout the whole process which was great!

Today was my first time going to their shop for an oil change. Nasser and Josh are amazing. They are also nice, friendly, and informative. I called in the morning to check what time they close and an estimate cost for an oil change. I ended up going after work. Josh straight away started on my car. I loved that he was multi-tasking. While my car was up and the oil was draining out, Josh was checking my tire pressure. It only took 25 minutes. I only had about a quart to a quart and a half of oil in my car so there was not much to drain. They recommended putting in a different oil because of how fast my car burns oil. Obviously Josh and Nesser are experienced because they answered a concern/question I've had without me needing to bring it up/ask. They are very helpful. They were the only ones/first ones to ever bring up that topic with me and recommend something better for my car, instead of generalizing my car like other cars. They also refilled my windshield wiper fluid (complimentary). Josh made sure the street was clear for me before I backed out. For only two people working the shop they were very put together, organized, and knows how to treat their customers. I will definitely keep coming back!

Outstanding job inspecting a 2012 Nissan Frontier for me (on short notice, too) as part of an out-of-state truck purchase. Nasser was extremely helpful and also came through with some last-minute repairs which needed to be done before the successful sale, even as I was on the plane coming to San Diego. Very great shop, helped me get in and out. The owner really helped get me a fair price and got the job done quickly. The people in the front are really nice, which help creates a friendly environment, I didn't even feel like I was talking to some random people it felt like I was talking with my friends while my car was getting the much needed repairs it needed. This shop really helps me out and gave me a clear cut break down of what I really needed for my car and helped gear me on what needed the most attention at the moment for safety.Summary: Great Service! Really Friendly Workers! And most importantly for me they got the job done right and quickly the first time.

This is literally the best option I have found in San Diego amongst the hundreds of car maintenance specialist. The prices are great but you know you are getting what you need not what the mechanic wants. They are honest and treat you well. The part of town is not the classiest but for vehicle service that I can trust every time I am willing to go wherever. I suggest giving it a try once and you will see.

Good service and pretty reasonable prices. I've gotten several things done here i.g. oil change, shocks, extra shock suspension, and went in for shaking in my front end, but after test driving my car, he found nothing wrong and gave me the truth instead of bogusly charging or creating work when there isn't any. Nasser and all mechanics at are great here! Being a girl its always difficult to find a good mechanic without feeling like you're being taken advantage of. Nasser never makes you feel that way and will always find ways to make sure you save money, the work is exceptional as well!!Highly recommend them!

Definitely a place to come back for your auto needs. For me my starter started failing and was going to fix myself some piece, i call them they give me a great labor price, so I Go in and try change parts but decide I shoudl replace the whole starter so I did, starter and labor price was a very good price, other mechanics were charging me high labor price for just as much as i paid fort parts&labor here ! So i saved a good $$$ dollars and my car started right away. Very happy :)

I received my car registration renewal notice which included a note saying I had to get a smog check. I dread the smog check because my car is older and I worry it won't pass. I called a few locations listed on the DMV website to ask about getting the smog check. The man who answered at Protech was friendly and helpful. He offered a better price than two other shops I called and Protech is located very close to my home. The experience was great and my car passed! The gentleman who work at this location are very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

I took my car here today and it was such a peaceful environment like talking to a friend. The really do offer honesty quality and convenients. Nasser helped me out and gave me the best option for my car and didn't over price like other places have.

Nassar is a crook! Don't go here he will rip you off, i came here to replace a timing chain ,after nassar replaces my timing chain it breaks. I than took it to the dealer because I didn't feel like nassar was being honest, after full inspection the dealer noticed the timing chain was worn and never replaced instead the guides were replaced and I was lied to. After talking with multiple people it seems that nassar has been doing this for a long time now, I am now in the middle of a lawsuit and after talking to multiple people looks like im the 3rd lawsuit this year, if you don't want to get ripped off! Stay away from this place!Service: Engine repair

I found this place on Yelp and was very impressed. Nasser was very helpful and honest. As someone who isn t originally from San Diego, it is nice to have a trusted place to go to for my car needs. I will definitely be back.

Ii went in to have a catalytic converter put on my 2009 nissan. Nassar gave me a quote which was a good price. He ran into problems and it took him wel over an hour longer than he anticipated. When i asked him the price at the end it was exactly wha he wuoted Many mehsnics would have raised yhe price because of the extra time and labor. Hes honest and did a good job. Id use him again anytime.

Nasir was not friendly at all, did not even want to hear the issue with the car due to the faulty job he or his repairmen did the first time. Drove all the way there for him to not shake my hand and then let me know to come back another time when he is less busy. He had someone working for him who didn't look certified at all nor had a regular uniform on. Everything just very low budget and run down. Just like the job they did on the car. I do not recommend this shop at all. #wasteyourtime2018

I went to Protech also known as Professional Complete Auto Care to have my engine replaced. I ended up returning the car to them 4 times for repairs and the problems are getting worse. The director continues to ignore my calls and the worker continues to fail to fix my engine. I have a 2008 toyota prius, i had a leek in the radiator. To replace it, was gonna cost about $600. Naser had helped me by using a liquid to stop the leak in the radiator and saved me a lot of money and that shows honesty and this is a "foreign currency" to find in mechanics.

Nasser is such a friendly, fair and honest guy!! I went with my brother and what caught my attention was his wall of auto tech certificates, approximately 30 of them! Maybe more! I take it he knows what he is doing. Also, he does smog checks. Ask for his special. Thanks!!!

I have been going to them for years now I have gone through several cars and school they have always been willing to work with me and give me honesty which is rare to get in mechanics. I trust no one else. Because I live far away now I don't get to go to them every time but I wish I could.

DO Not go to this mechanic!!! He replaced parts that were fine- over charged me! He yelled at me when I told him him that he allowed me to drive off in an unsafe car and I tow my car- to find out that the mechanic mid diagnosis the problem! Please get an estimate from another mechanic before using this mechanic .

Took my 1980 Malibu to this and great service each time. Fixed my issues same day and didn t try to sell me up on things I don t need. I ll be back for sure.
