Took my vehicle in for service to your El Cajon facility the other day and found out they were swamped! Talked to Edwin and he hooked me up as my service was somewhat minimal . As such, he took care of me pretty quick and explained all they did as well as what I may expect to have performed in the future. He was very cordial and attentive to my needs and your staff performed a great job. Been coming here for a few years now and I intend on returning for my service(s). KeepUp the good work!

I had a just gotten into town and needed some quick assistance, Edwin was more than happy to assist me right away after I stopped at a previous place that was going to make me wait for an hour. I live near the area and will return because of his efficient service and exceptional advise.

I was having issues with the power steering on my vehicle so I brought it to Pep Boys to resolve the issue. Edwin provided excellent customer service and made sure that all of my issues were resolved. My car runs great and I will be sure to visit this Pep Boys for my automotive needs in the future. Edwin at Pepboys provided excellent customer service. I got a flat tire on my way home around 6pm and Edwin was kind enough to accept working on my tire repair past closing time to get me back on the road. Great and friendly service. Was able to make it home safely.

Great customer service, even though they were backed up for the night. Came in for a tire replacement & they took a look at my brakes as well. Warranty helped me save money on the tire. Highly Recommend

My lights and high beams went out and took it here to get fixed and I was charged $700, almost $400 in just labor. I am in the military and shipping the car overseas and went to get it inspected and it failed because the high beam didn t work and the headlight bracket was broken. I called and informed them of the issue and they told me to bring it in. I dropped it off today for the whole day and when I went to pick it up they said they didn t even look at the car and that it s not their problem. Do not recommend going here unless you want to get screwed over and leave with more problems than you came in with.

I thought I only needed 4 new tires and an oil change but ended up needed new brakes pads too. They were very helpful, sent me home on a lyft while I waited and it only took a few hours. I plan on returning any time my car needs a check up. thanks again

Came to get a wheel alignment and left with a potentially life long friend. Excellent service here! I have had a few instances of screws stuck in my tires and they have quickly and cheaply fixed them for me with recommendations for other services when I am ready.

Giving them Two Stars only because the Service Managers were friendly.Ordered new Whitewall Tires for my car:1. They did not clean off the green from the Whitewalls.2. My Hubcap flew off right after I left the store.3. I went and had to purchase tire cleaner. Then after cleaning the tires myself I found out the Whitewalls were all damaged and look horrible. Now I am buying Whitewall Paint. That should be a fun task to do.I went here only because Discount Tire did not sell the Tire I wanted. My advice, pick another Tire.

I came in with a intermittent problem of starting my car (Honda 2012 Accord). They diagnosed and suggested to replace a new battery. They did, charged $300 for a new battery, but the problem remained unresolved, I still experienced the same intermittent problem of starting my car. I returned a few week later. They diagnosed and suggested to replace a new starter. They did, but charged $600 for the starter plus $200 for the labor/installation. I believed the cost was excessive and my good faith with them was hurt.

Did brake fluid change on my BMW X5.Very happy with the service, liked the sms and app that gave infos on the stages of maintenance on my car. They gave info on possible future needs on brake pads, that may arise. Gave an inspection report. Will prefer for next maintenance need.

Great quick and friendly service depending on what you need. Brian really helped me out and filled all my fluids in my car after I supplied him with the products. Jeff is also very pleasant along with the clerks in the store. I go here most often and staff are honest and direct and let me know if I need to go back to my dealership all they can do it at their shop.

They fixed everything and got me on the road safely with little downtime. Car rides like a dream, now. I'm never taking it to a 5 day a week dealership again - those places always leave me hanging on weekends. Pep boys is open every day of the week so I know i'll get my car back as soon as possible!

Whie I greatly appreciate the speed, efficiency, and courtesy with which my car part was replaced (a positive battery cable connector, at THIS Pep Biys location), trying to ZPAY for this repair job was an INEFFICIENT NIGHTMARE! More time was spent me watchuing the counter-staff enter information, re-boot coimputers, go to a different re-booted computer, and having to RE-ENTER the same information on a re-booted computer, then what the 10 minute repair job took to do! THIS WAS AND IS UNACCEPTABLE! I After 30 mins,. of this, I finally, left my payment (in cash!) on the counter and left. Please get your Pep Boys computer payment operating systems INTO THE 21st CENTURY, AND MODERNIZED! NO CUSTOMER should have to wait longer to PAY for an auto repair job then what the repair job actually took!

I love this Pep Boys location - they are our local shop and have always been amazing. This time around they got me in the same afternoon I called - my truck was serviced with alignment repair and new tires installed by the next morning. They helped get me the best price and I am very happy overall!

My service was completed to a satisfactory level and the manager that I spoke with was polite and professional. This is why I didn't give my appointment 1 star. That being said, I had made an appointment for 10:30am online for an oil change and tire rotation, and dropped my car off promptly at that time. I was the second car in line to be worked on. I told the manager that I dropped the car off with that I would be across the street at Starbucks waiting for the car and was told that I would be called or text when it was ready for pick up. This was not the first or even fifth time that I've taken my car to this Pep Boys for an oil change, and I ALWAYS receive a call within an hour of dropping it off. After over an hour and not hearing from the shop, I decided to walk back to the shop to check on the status. My car was now sandwiched between two cars in line and had yet to be worked on. When I asked the manager about it, he told me that I would be next. When I asked about how much longer, he said about half an hour. This was around 11:45am. The car that was first in line in front of my car was a different car than had been there when I dropped mine off at 10:30, and this one was apparently dead. I had to wait until they jumped that car and moved it out of the way until mine could get serviced. My car was finally brought in to have the oil change around 12pm, and I didn't leave Pep Boys with my oil change and tire rotation until after 1pm. The manager was polite and chatted with me during check out, but at no time was an apology made for the delay. I was very frustrated that it too 2 1/2 hours from when I dropped off my car until I drove it off the premises, and I'm wondering if this place of business is booking too many people online and are not able to handle all the appointments.

I do not recommend. I came on Sunday Sept 17, 2023. I had an appointment. When I arrive, I m told they charge $145 for an oil change and tire repair which is absolutely insane compared to the place near my house (La Mesa Tire). They also had me booked for a 2pm appointment and for something that should have been a quick fix they were saying we wouldn t get the car back until 6pm. They had a swarm of cars. Don t say appointments are available if you re literally not going to start working on the car at appointment time. Do not reccomend. I left without getting the services. Please choose La Mesa Tire instead. Pep boys is open sundays so I thought it was convenient but avoid avoid avoid.Also, when I walked in, the men were talking to eachother and didn t acknowledge me for a good 3 minutes while they finished their conversation. Big yikes.
