I literally have never had a smog test done before. They were so helpful and kind. They took me in as a walk in and in 20 min I was done and ready to get on with my day. Super fast and super affordable.

Great service: super helpful, kind, and accommodating! I needed a smog check but had an engine light to take care of first; they found what was wrong quickly and let me know the cost of the two necessary repairs. I told them to go ahead with the cheaper one while I figured out what to do with the pricier one. They very kindly held off on the cheap one anyway until I had decided what to do overall. I gave them the go ahead to do all the repairs and they took care of it all and the smog check in a day. Sean was always so nice and informative in person and over the phone, and it seems like the team there works together well for everyone's benefit. They gave me a great deal and helped me feel a lot more confident with taking care of my car!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance

This place has some of the best service I have experienced in my entire life. Sean might be the kindest, most hardworking person I have ever received service from. He is super friendly with everyone that comes in, and always has a smile on, even when it seems busy and stressful.In one particular case, I was waiting for a smog check in their lobby and a frustrated woman came in. Judging by the conversation, her repairs were going to cost more than originally expected and she was upset about it. Clearly there was nothing Sean could do about it, and he sincerely apologized for the inconvenience. He explained the car problem as best as he possibly could so she could under stain, but still, the customer didn t really understand at all and started attacking the shop and Sean s character as well. While many people would get very defensive in this conflict, Sean showed great kindness and patience with the customer, despite her personal attacks. He handled the situation better than I ever could. He stayed patient and didn t get angry when most people would do just the opposite.I have read the 2 or 3 negative reviews about this shop, and I am sincerely baffled by how the few people judge this service poorly, especially when they are talking about Sean. I simply cannot overstate this, Sean really is the best customer service rep I have ever encountered. He deserves all the praise that I can give. Every single time I come here I am incredibly impressed with Sean and the hardworking gentlemen who run this shop. I would recommend it to anyone I know.

Outstanding service! I brought my Jeep here for an oil change, a smog check, and to get the brakes serviced. They were extremely accommodating to my needs and did all of the work quickly and well. They communicated well at every step of the process, discussing my options and informing me clearly about cost/benefit trade-offs, with no pressure to make particular choices. I'll be a regular from now on.

I cannot believe this place received any stars! Consider yourself lucky! I have lived in the neighborhood all my life and every single time I have been in there, SEAN is a complete jerk! RUDEST STAFF! I've been in there 3 times in the last few years, all of which I had a simple request, simple problem just needed a little human decency and kindness. All three times was basically told to pound sand! I am fully dressed for work, visibly upset, flat tire, late for work, no change for the air machine and asked SEAN for help with the air machine. He said, "I'm busy with customers" NO ONE IN THE OFFICE! NO HELP, RUDE. Then proceed to ask one of the mechanics to just help me put a little air in my tire so I can get to a tire shop and their response, "Our compressor is broken, have a nice day" This has happened more than once, so please don't displace my review for a one time angry customer. Every time SEAN has been rude, no help and basically told me to take a hike. Even a mechanic could have walked out and gave me a smile, I would have felt better. It's beyond my comprehension this owner still keeps this guy around. My husband has had the same rude service, and when I told him, he just said, oh that place? That guys a jerk! SAVE YOURSELF ! There are many other places that value your business and treat you with human decency.

I came in here 4 times total to get my smog check. The 1st 3 times my CAT monitor wasn t working so I couldn t get it done however Sean was very patient with me throughout the process and by the 4th time it worked, thankfully. Sean was very patient and super nice...I highly recommend this place.

Ripped me off and lied to my face.I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this was one of those experiences that really got to me. If the owner would like to make this right they can contact me. First of all, I got my smog check here, it went over fine (that's the only job I would ever get done here). The man at the front desk has very a kind and personable way of speaking. However, I don't believe they are honest.My vehicle broke down one night, and Geico had it towed here. The next day, they gave me the report and told me that the whole fuel pump assembly needed to be replaced and that the battery was low. They quoted me $465 for the fuel pump assembly (just parts for a toyota tacoma) and $115 for the battery, with a total labor charge of $255. So, after taxes, the total quote came out to just over $1000. This repair should have cost at least half that. I cannot find a single fuel pump assembly available for my vehicle over even $300, and most are around $100. I brought this up to them and asked to see proof of cost of parts, they refused and then had the audacity to say they tried really hard to find me a good price because I "seemed like I was low on money." Every person I have spoken to about this transaction was appalled at the cost they charged, and so am I.Thanks for ripping an honest person off. I'm very disappointed, this location was convenient and the business was straight forward, but they just aren't honest. But hey, maybe I'm wrong. If you can prove to me that you spent $465 on a fuel pump assembly for my toyota then I will update this review. Aside from the lying and overcharging, they did have a clean atmosphere, convenient location, and general professionalism.

As a rule of thumb, any service you want can be fast, cheap, or good, you can only pick two of those. This place is not cheap, but they are fast and good service, at least for smog testing.

Excellent customer and service in general. They fixed what was requested, and gave me an idea of what to keep my eye on, all at a reasonable price and made me feel confident in my older vehicle. Couldn't ask for any better service, highly recommended.

Sean has the best customer service skills both on the phone and in person. Smog was cheap and took 15 minutes no appointment. Free wifi and coffee.

I've been going to this local shop for 15 years and will recommend them to anyone. Extremely skilled and honest, I never worry about them trying to charge me for something unnecessary. Anything I can't (or don't want to) do myself goes to PQ Auto and the guys fix me right up. Thanks Sean and team! .

Great service. I can honestly trust these guys to not try and skim me just to make a quick buck. These men are honest and hard working. They always do the job to perfection (Or as close as they can get to it) they take pride in their work and I have never had a bad experience.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE. DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP. We brought our van down to have a smog test done and they told us that we had an evap leak. They offered to do a smoke test to see where the leak is coming from and make repairs if necessary. It was less expensive to go with a trusted mechanic that has done work for us before so we had it repaired this weekend and now they are telling us that it has been modified and that they will not smog it for us. They had no problem taking our money to smog it the first time but claim that the repair will not allow them to smog it again. The transmission went out on my car which is why we need the van registered before our 30 day temp registration expires on Friday 3/17. These men have no compassion and think that it is ok to swindle hardworking people out of their money. Without a second vehicle we will be unable to work. I will never use this shop again and would not recommend them to anyone.

Made me wait 30 hours for a 1 hour diagnosis. Instead of diagnosing the problem, they recommended a $270 fuel injection/throttle body maintenance service. Told them no, took it to my regular mechanic who fixed the problem that had nothing to do with fuel delivery (was clogged selenoids). Seeking a refund.

Emailed the company via their website voicing some concerns about our truck. I wanted to set an appt up so I wrote the things we wanted checked over; never heard back from them. Called a few days later and they immediately knew it was me that emailed stating "oh you're the one who emailed about the dodge truck". After talking with them about what I wanted specifically for a quote (small leak from back of the motor, freeze plugs looked over, interior dash replacement, bushings, seals and just a general overview of my truck) the gentleman on the phone was VERY rude and acted like my truck wasn't worth their time and possibly fixing it would be more than what the truck was worth (even though he hasn't seen my truck or knows what's been done to it). He even said they didn't do any transmission work, even though their website CLEARLY STATES they do major engine repairs including transmission. He stated I could bring the truck in on a Wednesday, but never asked to set an appt, for my name or my phone number. He even had the nerve to tell me that they are very busy and that I should bring my truck somewhere else. Worst customer service ever. I was willing to pay whatever I needed for the services of my truck, but they just lost a potential customer.

Took my car in for repairs on 8/8 and they wrecked it. 3 weeks later picking it up...car s first accident ($3600) happens in an auto repair shop.In addition had to pay for repairs though they aren t out anything. Insurance deductible built into my costs. Should have charged me just for parts if customer service was their focus. Labor was their problem!So now I have a car whose value is diminished by an accident I wasn t involved in and they feel they did everything they could.Never again.

Don t go there. I asked man where is restroom. He said get out of my shop! Almost he push me. Also he was very angry isn t good mood! I will happy show you proof video. I hope he will fired lost job very soon!

Excellent local business, though they are extremely busy - and what this really should tell you, that they are doing great service and not very expensive!!! So plan to make an appointment and come back in one-two, or sometimes three days depending of what you need to do.

Honest guys. Mark, Sean and Tony. They stayed late on a Saturday to finish the job 35 mins after closing. Didn't overcharge me for the extra labor. Will be back.

Bought a used Montero Sport. Needed a new mechanic, since my old place only did Volvos. Finding a good car repair company is dicey, as there are so many unethical/incompetent ones in the market. So we asked our friend Tony who works at NAPA for a referral. He sent us to Rancho Pensaquitos Auto Repair.Glad he did!Sean at the counter was attentive and informative. The owner is one of the mechanics. I needed a few minor repairs and some diagnostics (belt noise, clear out headlight lenses, cruise control not working).They were honest, did quick and accurate assessments, and fixed all the problems, including fixing very small stuff without charge. And the price was under what was quoted.We have a new car mechanic.

Brought in my car because I was told it needed breaks by another shop. I brought it hear for a 2nd opinion. These guys are honest and fast and that is always hard to find with a mechanic.

These guys NEVER answer the phone. I ve called many many times and on different days and they ve never picked up. Of course, no answering machine either so I can t leave my number for call back.

Have had my car in the shop with them twice so far. They seem to get alot of traffic. Havent had an issue and they went the extra mile as far as getting my car back to me before they closed up.
