This guy s the best! So straight forward and honest. Articulate and competent. At other car places, I often feel like they can t wait to be rid of me, but Ryan spent the time to talk and really answer my questions, and provide valuable insights and options. One loyal customer here!

I recently took my Honda to Mode Auto Repair for a starter replacement and was thoroughly impressed with their service. Ryan, who assisted me, was a true professional honest, transparent, and incredibly helpful. The pricing was straightforward and notably more affordable than what the Honda dealership had quoted me, almost half the price! The job was completed quickly without compromising on quality. I'm extremely satisfied with my experience and plan to return to Mode Auto Repair for any future repairs. Highly recommended for their exceptional service and value.

Great service, friendly and honest staff! They fervetly stick to OE items which is great because, I mean, that's how the engineers of the car designed it to run in the first place. They'll give you a full diagnostic with whatever service you decide to get so you'll always know exactly what else should be done to maintain your vehicle in its best condition.

Been going to Mode Automotive since 2017 to have the general maintenance and regular service done to my 2015 Subaru BRZ.Ryan Mode is one of the best mechanics out there to work with - professional, friendly, honest, and works very fast.I highly recommend this place.

Mode Automotive is the way to go.The service is supremely thorough and surprisingly quick.I took my '97 Toyota Camry to Ryan for all major service requirements and now that I've upgraded to a '15 Subaru BRZ I do the same.Ryan is well informed and experienced with new and old technologies in the automotive industry. His wide range of experience with various vehicle platforms is another reason why I trust him to do a great job without a second thought. I love this place.

UPDATE, 03/15/24:Ryan, truly appreciate your thoroughness and again honest assessment for the needs of my vehicle. As I promised, came back to get my rear brake service and an oil change. Thank you for giving me your professional and honest diagnosis of the Maintenance Reqd indicator. Very relieved it was the regular stuff. And yes, I ll bring her back when she needs the next check up.***************03/11/2023Courteous, thorough and timely; needed brakes serviced and battery replaced and Ryan was thorough in the inspection and straightforward with the assessment. Ryan and Mode Automotive are the best! I have never met a more honest mechanic. I will only take my car to Mode because I know Ryan will always do a great job and always be honest, upfront, and professional. He always does a great job explaining the issue and laying out the options. I appreciate that he is never pushy but realistic about the issues with my car and what he recommends we proceed with. My rear breaks needed replacing and they diagnosed the issues and replaced everything in the same day. It definitely hurt my wallet, but the prices were fair for the work that was done.

Brakes were squeaking and I was expecting to have to replace them. Ryan told me there was still plenty of wear left on the brakes it was probably due to sitting outside and not being used enough lately. Ryan is by far the most trustworthy mechanic I have found in San Diego. As a female, I have been through so much dishonesty and deceit from other mechanics. Ryan has always been up front, honest, and had my best interest at heart. I can't recommend him enough.

Ryan is amazing. We started going to his shop based on Google reviews. He really knows his stuff, takes a thorough look at the car, is honest about how good (or bad) it is, takes time to explain things, doesn't dumb it down, and is just an all-around great guy. He does what needs doing and isn't pushy about extra services. His online appointment system is pretty handy. The icing on the cake is I'm happy to support a small business. Why did it take us so long to find him? You and your car want to be here.

Always love going to Ryan for my automotive needs. He takes his time to check everything. And still made sure my car is taken cared off even when I was late for my appointment. If I could give 10 stars I would. Highly recommend him for anyone.

I brought my car to Ryan for the first time for a 100k mile tune-up. He was very helpful in determining what work was needed, he was quick but thorough and the best part...I didn't leave feeling like I overpaid or got taken advantage of! It was an overall great experience and I wish I had found him sooner, highly recommended!!

He also listened to my budget concerns (creating an action plan that would fit with my budget) and kept me informed on when my car would be done. Mode Automotive will be my go to place for my car maintenance. They offer $50 discount for new customers. What's more important is his honesty where a couple of times he sent me away because the service was not due and not needed.
