I encountered two issues: the SOS light and the assistant driver light would randomly turn on and off. They effectively addressed both problems by installing a new SOS module and replacing the steering wheels. Now, I no longer experience the unpleasant noise while driving. I highly recommend reaching out to Alec, Johnny, or Ernest, as they were all instrumental in assisting me throughout the process. These individuals are truly commendable!!!

Go somewhere else and save yourself the headache. I have received terrible service, to the point where the service representative was yelling at me in my face. Not only is the customer service beyond terrible, but they repeatedly failed to find a problem with my squealing brakes. I had my brand new car in 4 times over a year and a half for two services (10k, and 20k), and also mentioned my brakes were making strange noises and squealing. After my 20k service, I was finally given a quote for $700 to replace the brakes. I took the car to another shop and was told my brakes were within spec, and there was likely a warranty issue because only the rear brakes were engaging. I've spoken to the manager, who ensured me I would receive better service with a different service representative. I mistakenly gave them a final chance to perform. They again found nothing wrong with my brakes, made me wait for over two hours after I was told 30-45 minutes, and when I went to go inspect my car, the service rep got in my face and started yelling at me. I'm contemplating reporting this incident to the authorities as I felt nervous for my personal safety. Please don't waste your time, and don't give them your business.

I had a very frustrating and expensive experience with this auto shop. After getting my clutch replaced, my car began to have trouble starting. When I took my car to the shop, they insisted that the battery was bad even though they had replaced it 20,000 mi prior. They tried to replace it again until I demanded a battery test which of course passed. Then their " Master mechanic " finally looked at it after a week and a half of keeping my car. They determined that the starter was bad and replaced my starter for almost $1,500. The problem did not go away. I got stuck on a road trip in the middle of Utah, where a mechanic figured out that the ground wire on my clutch had not been properly bolted on in 2 hours and fixed the problem. I wasted a week and a half and $1,500 because these mechanics would not actually look at what I told them was the problem. Take your car here for routine maintenance if you want to overpay, but don't take it here for anything complex.

Very terrible experience. I made an appointment about almost a week in advance due to a break issue on my car. I dropped my car off at 7AM and was told that I would receive a phone call about what will need to be done to my car. By 1:30PM that same day I hadn't heard anything and called. The person that picked up let me know that know that the guy assigned to my car was in the shop and that he would reach out to him and call me back... well that didn't happen. I called back again at 5:30PM and was put on hold, my call was than transfered to another service team member and they let me know that they need to keep my car overnight since they had to order parts and that I can pick up by lunchtime the next day. I told him to call me in the morning, but once again no one followed up. I was very confused by this because I was not quoted anything, so why were parts being ordered for work that I didn't sign off on? The next day comes. around and I call around lunch time, the phone rings twice and then send me to voicemail. I leave a VM that I needed someone to call me back ASAP. An hour goes by, I call and ask to speak to the service Manager and once again get sent to voicemail. I left a VM about my frustrations to him that no one is telling me what is going on with my car. I didn't receive a phone call so I call again an hour and a half later and again was sent to voicemail. At this point I am so frustrated that I show up in person at 3:30PM after my car has been there for a day and a half. Once I walk in I go straight to the service manager, and speak with him about my frustrations on how no one called me that they would need to keep my car over night and then when I called they told me parts needed to be ordered. The service manager straight up tells me that the technician I was scheduled with was off on Monday when I had my appointment (which makes no sense because someone called me the day before to confirm my appointment) he then proceeds to tell me that no one communicated to the technician about my car so my car had been sitting there for 1.5 days with nothing done to it, not even a quick check. Of course once I arrive my car gets ran straight to the shop to have the breaks checked. The service manager gets back to me within 5 min, lets me know what needs to be done and that hes ordering the parts and will follow up to me to reschedule. Well its been 4 days and I haven't heard anything. Really disappointed on how they treat customers. I ended up going elsewhere.

Update 5/11/23:Saul Sedano reached out to us the day after I posted the original review, and after looking into the issue, apologized and had the missing parts ordered. He called back yesterday to let us know they had arrived, we stopped by, and his team installed them. This is very encouraging to see, as it's a rarity these days. This goes a long way to restoring our faith in this dealership.Thank you, Saul.Original review:They replaced the rear diff on our 15k mile Golf R (500 miles after Kearney Mesa VW performed the major service on it). It took 8 days, and they never had a rental available. They don't wash cars anymore, so you could imagine what it looked like when we picked it up.A few months later, I wanted to rotate the tires, but couldn't find the wheel lock anywhere. When I looked in the hatch, under the carpet, everything was gone; the tire inflator, the sealant, and no wheel lock.I called and left a message for the service manager - never heard back. I reached out to the former manager - also ghosted me.I don't know what it is with VW dealers in San Diego, but they're not worth our time. We want to sell the R and be done with VWs forever. They're just not what they used to be.

Made appointment for 8:15 AM for simple oil change, told that it would take 1 to 2 hours. Today, I was told it would take 5 hours. This is waaaay too long, especially since I made an appointment.I really like MB VW service, but they need to respect customers time and provide honest and accurate information about how long the service would take.I ll have to think twice going to them for service.

Great team to work with. They're knowledgeable about what's needed, their prices are appropriate and their service has always been very good with me. Have had a '19 GTI maintained here and a '17 Touareg. I can't see myself going anywhere else for service, they've been great and would recommend them for your VW service needs. Only wish they had more loaners available for customers.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto tire replacement, Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement, Battery, Oil change

This is the perfect place if you want them to temporarily fix your car until warranty runs out. I brought my car in 5-7 times in the span of 1 year for the same problem. Multiple times they had me come in at 7 AM only to tell me there was no availability that day. Honestly such a terrible experience. Go to Kearny Mesa!

To be honest and be fair I think I'll keep my thoughts on this dealership to myself. I will only say if another dealership service department is closer you might want to try them out for your VW service needs. They did provide a lyft service to take me home and pick me up. This may give you an idea about the rest. When they sent the ride to pick me up to bring me back to the dealership the info was incorrectly put it. The driver was sent to the dealership to pick me up not my home...thus occurred 3 times. I waited about an hour outside my residence about an hour of my time. This dealership has so many excuses about everything. But if you have an issue they could care less. This is to say nothing about the service experience itself. I have had over 10 VW cars in my time. I would rank this dealership on the bottom of all time. This is my experience and my opinion. I think that sums it up without getting negative except for the facts.

Been here a couple times now to have my car serviced and always have had a great experience. They are quick to fix any issues, and point out future problems without ripping you off. They made a great recommendation as well. Would recommend. Craig is great, he s been the one to help me so so far and has outstanding service!

Prompt, friendly and efficient service in a clean well ordered facility. Costs are competitive with other Volkswagen dealerships.Considering the complicated electronics in newer cars, it is better to have them serviced at the dealership. Central documentation of regular scheduled service can make a difference in whether the manufacturer or you pay for recalls, defects, repairs; and can support possible legal claims.Once your car's warranties have expired, alternative service facilities can be more cost effective. The technical knowledge base would be wider spread and less specialized by then.

The service here was amazing! They helped me right away with what I needed. I hung out in the lounge while I waited for my car to be serviced. They were fast, friendly and very professional. I highly recommend!! Thank you

I liked it. They were always very friendly, helpful and reasonable here. They kept me informed and had nice bathrooms and a well stocked lounge with TV, magazines and coffee/tea/hot cocoa. Once an employee got me a spoon from the employee's lounge, since they didn't have any in the customer lounge only stirrers, so that I could eat my ice cream :) . They work fast and reliably and I will miss going here since I no longer have a vw

I have been going to Mission Bay VW service garage for the past 2 years after going to South Bay VW. The service has been fantastic. They have helped me immensely and have not once over charged.Every guy I ve spoken to there is honest and a straight shooter. I have been most in contact with Craig and I can not recommend him enough. Great guy and doesn t try to sell me on more service unless necessary.Trust is hard to find in car maintenance but Craig and all the guys at Mission Bay VW have been great.Wish I could give 6/5 stars!
