Frank and his team at Miramar Transmission run a tight shop. I sought out quotes to upgrade a clutch on a 2023 Integra. Out of the three shops I called, this business offered the most reasonable price. I was kept up to date as requested as work progressed. The job was finished ahead of schedule with my car returned to me in perfect working order. Miramar Transmission does honest work and delivers. They fully have my endorsement and I recommend you come see them if you have any transmission needs.

Completed a transmission rebuild to suit 800 HP, very transparent along the way and made sure to get all the specs for the vehicle to verify we built the transmission to fit it's uses

Miramar Transmission is by far the most dependable, reliable, and trustworthy auto care service center in San Diego. As a referral, I brought my car in for transmission and AC service. Bryce, the manager, and his team is very professional, service oriented, and kind. They helped me get my car back out on the road quickly, I highly recommend Miramar Transmission to anyone in need of excellent full service auto care.

Disappointing Experience with Miramar TransmissionI had my car serviced at Miramar Transmission, hoping to get it back in top shape. However, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon receiving my car, I noticed some deep scratches on it, which I chose to overlook because I didn't take pictures of the car right before I brought it in and since the transmission issue was fixed. A while later, I discovered a part missing underneath the car. When I contacted the shop, they denied any involvement or knowledge of the missing part. This lack of accountability and the subsequent inconvenience have left me deeply dissatisfied with their services. I would caution others to exercise caution when considering Miramar Transmission for their car repairs.

The service from Frank and his staff to repair my Subaru Outback was exceptional. The vehicle had a transmission overhaul and I found Miramar Transmission stands 100% behind their work when helping diagnose additional concerns. Superlative company!

Excellent service, and very reliable and high-end technician I barely meet in my lifetime. During the search for a problem with my car the technician talked to me for detail symptoms related to the problem, and then find out what exactly problem my car has . I took a leap on a truck across the country (I live in PA currently). I had a buddy bring the truck down to Miramar transmission, on his recommendation. I had such a good experience here! They were honest and tried to keep my cost as low as possible. They had a car for me to borrow so I didn't need a rental! I got my car back sooner than expected and it was beautifully detailed, the carpets and seats had been shampoo'd, the dash and center console were like new! There used to be sticky balls of sap all over my car from when I used to park under a dripping pine tree and I couldn't get them off. But when I picked my car up they were all gone and my car was so shiny! The transmission was a big job but Bryce was so helpful, kind and communicative and kept me informed. He was 11 out of 10! The whole process took just over 2 weeks but that's just how long they had to wait for the parts to arrive. Would recommend!

We brought our 2002 Mustang in for clutch repair. They notified us of other things they found with the car that needed immediate attention and cleared everything through us first before proceeding. After all was said and done, the car drove like new again. You couldn't beat the costs of parts and labor there. The service was phenomenal where we felt like we were treated like family. My daughter was visiting CA and her car's clutch/transmission quit on the I-5 interstate. She called me and I called 3 places that all referred me to Miramar Transmission. Best advice I've been given in a long time. This was on a Wed afternoon and she needed to leave CA by Friday. Miramar Transmission got it done and her car drives like new she says. Thanks to all the staff for taking such good care of her. She made it home safely.Service: Transmission

Frank is freaking awesome. I'm a DIY guy and called him up and he helped diagnose a problem over the phone. What a cool shop, I would not hesitate to bring a car in here. It's very apparent how much he cares and wants to help even when money isn't exchanged. Super super cool.

Fantastic Service!My son's car, of less that a year, transmission has broken. It is 2013 Nissan Altima 3.35sl. BUYER BEWARE! The 2013-2019 has a faulty transmission! DO NOT BUY this used car! Wish the used car dealer ship, PEDDER CDJ OF POWAY, would have not sold us a faulty car! They clearly know nothing about the cars they sell!Anyhow, we had initially taken it to another repair shop. They suggested a new one based off of what I told them and a test drive. The cost, $4700. I thought we had better call another shop for a second opinion. I called Frank and he was so informative and helpful. He told me that he would first take it apart because it could be something fixable, and there would be no extra charge if he was unable to fix it and put in a new one. We decided to have it towed to him.He called me and explained that he could repair it, but it would be close to the cost of a new one. He said that if it were his car, he would get the new transmission for piece of mind. He was so kind to me and really wanted to help us out. He even put in a needed part that the Pedder dealership owed us at no extra charge! Thank you Frank.We highly, highly recommend Miramar Transmission!Service: Transmission

Great customers service, great turn around time for repairs and reasonable prices for SD area. 800 miles for my clutch replacement, haven't had any issues. Highly recommend.

My transmission was burnt out and vehicle not drive-able. Had it towed to Miramar Transmission. They provided Excellent service and repair on my 07 Chevy Suburban, with quick turnaround at 2 days repair time. Brought new life to my 157k + vehicle. Thank you.

Took my car for a transmission overhaul and got my car back within 3 days. Customer service was good. The only reason it's a 4 star instead of 5 is because of location. This location is terrible for traffic.

Brought in a 2015 Kia as it was running very poorly with an intermittent check engine light and what felt like the transmission slipping. They said it was just the catalytic converter and did great in finding the best value converter available instead of a high priced Kia unit. Did not try selling me on any unnecessary transmission or other repair. All this during the difficult holiday season. Highly recommended.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

They did a great job rebuilding my 94 Silverado transmission as well as working on my spongy brakes. They stayed true to their intial quote. Very professional and worked with me along the way. After being taken advantage by Mercedes dealership of El Cajon, where I drove my car in and had to have it towed out I was told about Miramar Transmission. The service is excellent, they treat you like family and they saved me a fortune. They do all types of repairs not just transmissions and are exteremely efficient and most important honest. I drive over thirty five minutes for car repairs and service. They should receive 10 stars you cannot go wrong using them for any car repairs,

Not quite sure I believe the guy who gave 1 star to this shop. I come to Miramar Transmission for my complicated auto repairs (they do driveline and engine). I absolutely trust Mark and his shop. They stand behind their work with solid warranty. You will pay standard industry rates, the peace of mind is worth it especially if your concerned about the long term warrany. They offer free rides from the shop (it's 18 miles round trip for me) and I believe free inspections.

I brought Frank a 1968 jeep i bought for $1500, had him go through it from the radiator cap to the tail lights, the thing is rock solid. Now I have a 77 F150 4x4, same thing, going through the whole truck, maintaining, inspecting and replacing brakes, suspension, and drivetrain to get this thing totally dialed in to where i feel safe driving with my kids. Honest, knowlegable, and fair prices.

Very bad bad service! I brought a 94' 4 Runner in for "general checking" in order to buy and sale the vehicle. When drove half way home it cost me a radiator hose and the vacuum leaking. I should be noticed that this vehicle had just received a timing belt and water pump and pass smog. Gentlemen, you do the thinking. Think it twice before you have you vehicle "free estimate."

Miramar Transmission earned my trust when they corrected some terrible work from a different mechanic, and has continued to provide exceptional work ever since. They're the only shop I take my truck to, and I highly recommend them.

BMW was having issues and brought it to BMW for a check up.. The estimate they gave me seemed high so I stopped by Miramar Transmissions to see if they could help. Service was 2nd to none and they also saved me $500 from what I was quoted and had the car ready the next morning. Would highly reccomend stopping by and getting an estimate if you ever have any car issues.

I've been taking my cars here and only here for the past 6 years. I've driven a 99 Honda Accord, a 2002 Toyota Camry and a 2010 Audi A4, and I've had various work done on all of these vehicles. It has always been no hassle, no b.s. and right on time. Frank is very knowledgable and his guys will find the problem and solve it. I've been to other places around town, and sometimes they can't figure out whats wrong with your vehicle or they may diagnose it incorrectly and you end up paying for something that doesn't solve your problrm. Won't say any names of places I don't trust, but these guys at Miramar Transmission are the best in Miramar and by far my go to for any auto repair. 5 stars for sure.

Very disappointed with the quality of their work. I will never recommend this shop/ mechanics to anybody, and the way they abuse your vehicle during the road test, I'm so disappointed. I had to pay more money to a different shop/ mechanics, to fix it and get me back on the road.
