Highly recommend! My friend recommended this auto shop for my brakes and I was so impressed! They had front and back brakes done within 4 hours and for a fair price. They also made sure to call and quote me the price before performing any work. So easy to work with and I felt at ease bringing my car in here. We will be back for all of our car needs!

First mechanics I've ever trusted. Came in for a minor repair, Alan identified a leaky seal and gave a reasonable quote. He explained it wasn't urgent, and honored the quote six months later when I came in for another repair. I'd dislodged a cover on my undercarriage, and Alan repaired it when I was sure it'd need to be replaced.This with be our go to shop for as long as we're here.

I was recommended this place by a coworker for general maintenance. I had some specific issues identified at another mechanic and dealership, but their description and prices were suspect so I was looking for a second opinion.I came to MM Auto Techs with an appointment and was quickly processed. Alan came out to get specifics from me and then his team went to work. A reasonable amount of time later Alan came out to explain their findings, much more thoroughly than anyone had before. I'm not a car guy, but I try to have a general understanding of them and Alan explained the issues very clearly and in a simple enough format for me to understand. They finished up the repairs and asked me to stop by some weeks later for a quick free evaluation to double check some of the issues.Overall a great experience, the office and waiting area are very nice. Decorated with Chinese decor and burning incense. There is free wifi and computers if you want to work while you wait.

Very very good high quality work my car sounds amazing and the prices were super fair Rick from Mira mesa tech went above and beyond and got me scheduled next day for a full install and the work is awesome

It's funny I just noticed I had already written a review in 2015. Well, eight years later and I'm still a very satisfied customer. Between my husband's and my car we have been to this place many many times. (Never anywhere else). The work is excellent. We have never ever felt taken advantage off. In fact a couple of times we thought there was something wrong with the car and he told us it was fine and didn't charge us anything.Today we thought there were many issues with my car that needed to be looked into. The owner called to tell me everything was okay except for the sparkplugs. And that's all he charged us for.Thank you very much, Mr. Huong. You are greatly appreciated.

The service and emphasis put on making the customers experience a great one, is second to none here. I m in Oceanside and the long drive is worth it because I know I m putting my cars in the best hands possible. Not to mention the prices are unbeatable.

This was the best auto care experience I ve ever had. Alan was so upfront and knowledgeable and beyond fair. This is the level of service that other mechanics should strive towards. A good man doing good business. How highly recommend. Give him a call.

My family has been taking our cars here for all types of services for over two decades. They are straight up honest, affordable, and absolutely NO upselling.We took our Acura ILX to a nearby Acura dealership for an oil change a few months ago because we had a coupon. The service advisor told us we needed front breaks and had an unknown leak coming from somewhere, and quoted us around 800$ just to diagnose it.We decided to take it to Mira Mesa Auto Techs to get the breaks done, which was nearly half as expensive as the dealership, and Alan let us know that there was a very small leak, but it's not really a problem at this point, and would let us know when it becomes an issue. I really appreciate people that tell you the way it is, and aren't trying to upsell you all the time.I would highly recommend this place to anyone in San Diego if you have an Asian model vehicle.

Best mechanic shop in all of San Diego and probably North America. Alan and his team are the most lovely people to deal with. Always very warm and welcoming when I come in! They always do honest work and charge fair prices, I wouldn t trust my car with anyone else. 10000/10

The people here are super kind and helpful! They know cars better than anyone and actually want to do what is in everyone's best interest. I couldn't recommend this place more highly. They are professional, helpful, and charge a fair price.

Allan is great in developing a low cost option to repair my cars. I like to email him to help diagnose the problem. Low cost option, if you have time. 1 day to troubleshoot and next day for repairs.

This place has been such a gem to me ! I found Alan and his business over 10 years ago on Yelp because I had such a bad experience at Good Year Tire and good thing I did because now I ve been a loyal customer to Mira Mesa Auto Techs ! I just went in today for an oil change and the customer service you receive here is like no other ..Alan is so honest and kind and has a great hard working team that gets the work done in a short time. I was watching tv in their large waiting room and forgot I wasn t at home ! It s so clean inside and the bathroom is the cleanest business bathroom I ve ever seen ! They really take pride in their business and it shows . I always rave about this place to my friends in need of car repairs and will continue to do so - they are just so amazing I needed to come write an updated review

I can't believe I haven't already written a review for Mira Mesa Auto Techs. I first found them in an Autotrader magazine 20 years ago offering cheap oil changes. I was a starving college student driving an old beater and needed all the help I could get. Alan (the owner) has always been honest, sincere, and generous with his services. I remember back then he replaced my windshield wipers for free when they were falling off the car (I'm embarrassed to say at 18 I didn't know how to replace them myself). After I moved to Rancho Bernardo I tried a local mechanic for a couple oil changes, but my car always smelled like burning oil for at least 1 month after; I never had that problem at Mira Mesa Auto Techs. I also had a great experience at Subaru when I went in for a warranty repair so I decided to try them again when my AC stopped working. They quoted me $1500 to replace the compressor and they said they wouldn't have the part for at least 3 days which means I'd have to pay that much longer for a rental!! I called Alan and he said he could do it for $850 and he had it done THAT AFTERNOON!! He's helped me find drop in transmissions for cheap when they failed on my older cars and he helped me find buyers when I finally needed to get rid of my hoopties. Now I have my own business and I'm not living on a shoestring budget I'm still always very grateful to know I can bring my car here and Alan will give me the best deal and the best service possible without trying to take advantage. I've been going here for my so She charger and now my audi A5. I can trust this place to do good work for a reasonable price. He is really knowledgeable on all cars doesn't charge you for the small stuff. He took time to really understand issues and cleans out everything that got messed up by the issue.

I've been going to Alan for my car service and repair for over 15 years. I keep my cars for a long time and as parts wear out his crew has always kept me reliably on the road. Timing belts, oil changes, brake work etc. all done with no issues. Having an honest independent mechanic is important and I trust Mira Mesa Auto Techs.

I was referred to this shop by a friend when my Subaru broke down. My friend has been coming to this shop for many years and has nothing but good things to say.They proved to be everything you could want in a mechanic: straight-forward, honest, affordable, reliable, and fast. I had a great experience and will definitely be back for regular services.

This autotech is truly amazing. They never overprice. In fact they underprice their services and are SO incredibly honest. They have lost out on thousands of dollars of services they could've talked me into but instead advised me it was time to sell my car rather than sink thousands into repairs that I wouldn't get a return on.This is also a family owned business run by an amazing immigrant. We have been going to them for over 20 years.

We won t go anywhere else. My daughter s car was having random starting problems. Sometimes it would start (rarely), others you could jump start it and still others it would not start at all. We did not have a mechanic so I looked up auto repair shops in our area. I saw that Mira Mesa Auto Techs had an average rating of 4.7 from 51 reviews. No east feat. We found out why. We took my daughter s car in and explained the problem. They immediately noticed the cables were corroded and not secure. Right then and there they cleaned the cables and secured them and my husband was on his way home with a car that started readily, multiple times. They did not charge us a cent. Where do you get that kind of service in this day and age? I find it all too rare. And the generosity, virtually unheard of. I can t tell you how thrilled I am to now have an auto repair team that I feel I can trust to do the work necessary and only that and charge me a fair price. I want this company to have any money I need to spend to keep our family s cars in great working condition. Thank you Mira Mesa Auto Tech!

Love this place! I feel like they're honest and charge a fair price. Whenever I need to take in a vehicle they are available for us to drop off in a reasonable time and the time it tacks to hear from them is great. I always recommend this shop. The waiting area is beautiful, very clean, and inviting! They've recently supplied the area with computers for those that wait for their cars too. I trust them with my cars life!

I highly recommend this place! Both my Lexus RX 300 and my Honda Civic 04 had their 90k maintenance done here. Alan explained to me a lot of the process and even showed me that my timing belt didn't need to be replaced since (I ended up getting it replaced anyways) it was still in good quality. Just goes to show that they are not there to pressure you into making excess purchases, but to educate and serve the customer. Thank you!

I call in needing a quotes for alternator replace for my Lexus GS300, I was quoted $350 for parts n labor, better deal then I been shopping, so I told the guy on the phone, I ll be there soon, I dropped of my car at 1:30pm n closing time today at 3pm due to covid-19, the money did a fast excellent job, I was out of there in less then 1hr to make things even more happy as a new customer, the quote I got was for 1 n half labor but Lexus recommended 3hr labor but he was honest n man of his words, he charge me what he quoted me over the phone, god bless him, I will definitely be doing my car work thru them from here on. Very professional, excellent service, honest n good quality with less time. Oh yeah place it s hug for ten customers, with TV n cold water for customer. 5star

So happy to have found a mechanic we trust completely!They do good work, and they never push unnecessary repairs. When they identify something that doesn't need immediate repair, they say so. We even brought in our car once with an engine light on, and when Allen realized it was a false alarm, he didn't charge us for the visit (in which he reset the light).When possible, Mira Mesa Auto Techs is our first choice for any work or repairs on either of our vehicles. They've earned our loyalty.

Mira Mesa auto techs is the ONLY place I trust to service my vehicles. They have serviced all of my vehicles over the last 8 years or so and have always been professional. I feel very comfortable to bring my cars to this shop for knowing they are honest and professional. Their price are very reasonable, and they do their best to help their customers. They have earned my trust. I don't mind the long drive to their shop, it is worth my time. I highly recommended this shop.
