I had to replace my headlight assembly on my 2019 c300 and was looking at multiple different german auto locations and it gave me the most reasonable price. Owner and workers are EXTREMELY well informed about what they are doing. I will be bringing my car for routine maintenance and other fix if I have to. Definitely recommend

Had the cowl replaced on my 06 e90. The installer didn t add the necessary sealant under the cowl so when it rained it flooded my car .had to take car to BMW and pay another $500 on top of the $385 I paid to begin with. No warranty repair offered because he doesn t have the proper sealant needed wish I had known that before I left my car there. Definitely won t be coming back or referring this company to anyone. Can you say rip off ..

Incredible experience correctly diagnosing and repairing my Mini Cooper. They found a misdiagnosis from the dealership and provided transparent and fair pricing well below the estimate provided by the dealership. Franz was a punctual and clear communicator. Highly recommend!

Experiencing the same issue this place tends to overcharge for parts and misleads customers with inconsistent pricing. My 1-star review from over a year ago was mysteriously deleted. The owners seem like typical scam artists, eager to make a quick buck at the expense of trusting customers. I'd recommend checking out B&B AutoHaus or any other alternative for a more reliable and transparent service.

I could not get a routine maintenance service with the Mercedes-Benz of SD due to a strike, so I looked for other places that work on German cars. Minsky Mercedes & BMW came up and had good reviews so I decided to try them out. I was able to get an appointment and a courtesy phone call from them. The price they charged was fair, and service was wonderful. The owner, Mr. Nguyen, spent time to explain to me what were done and his recommendations for future visits. I will bring my wife's BMW to Minsky for services also and will surely recommend this place.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake replacement

They care! My trusty 2000 C230K left me on the side of the highway and I brought it to Minksy. They diagnosed my car and let me know exactly what was wrong, I had a chance to chat with Minh when I picked it up which was a pleasure. He is extremely knowledgeable and he cares, thats rare these days. The entire family there is wonderful! Im going back to service my transmission, my car has 314,460 MILES ON IT and drives awesome! He will have my business and referrals! My car drives BETTER!

I have used Minsky for many years. They were able to fix a catalytic converter when the replacement part was not available. I had a great experience. My check engine light was on. The text quickly found that I had a pinhole in my intake manifold. They replaced the part in one day and gave me the old part. Best experience I ve had with Mercedes Benz technicians by far. Great job! I ll definitely return for any mechanical work in the future.

I brought them my recently purchased 2004 BMW 645ci for diagnostic. The iDrive was warning of the engine overheating, oile temperature gauge fluctuating all over the place causing the vehicle to go into limp mode. They determined the problem was the oil pressure/temperature sensor by late afternoon and made the repair the following day. I just picked up my car and cannot thank the owner and his family enough. Super nice and very honest. My c250 needed a transmission mount and the turbo intake hose repaired. Rather than having to replace the entire intake, they asked me if I wanted to just replace the hose. This is not available at Mercedes and saved a few hundred of the bill Thank you from a very satisfied customer who usually does the work on his own cars. They replaced my battery when three other shops were nervous due to computer programming after installing a new battery in this newer model. Mercedes service workers were on staff so they were my last best option. Without an appt in advance they got me in and drove me a short distance to work. They finished the job by 2pm, professional and knowledgeable throughout.Service: Auto maintenance

I have been here 2 times now and I ve always had a very positive experience both times. They are friendly and knowledgeable and I saved a TON of money by not going to the dealership. In fact, they took approximately $76.00 off the bill because I was a repeat customer. I have 2 Mercedes Benz and I will always bring them both to Minsky. Took my car here today to do an oil change and not only the service was fast and great but the owner did not cut any corners at all. I was able to save a few hundred bucks compared to the dealerships. Bring your Mercedes or bmw here if you would like to get it repaired or serviced for way less than an arm and a leg that the dealership would charge you. Thanks again for taking good care of my ride!

I highly recommend this place if you re looking for an honest mechanic. I went in for a diagnostic, and I was gearing up for the worst. He called and told me he was able to tighten a bolt on my tie Rod, and didn t charge me any more. Great company and great people!I ve been here three times for repairs and they are always very helpful and they take care of the problem fast. Great company!Service: Auto maintenance

I am a returning customer. My issue was an oil leak from the valve cover gasket on my 2014 BMW N55 engine. I was provided a verbal, then a written estimate. (I viewed the complicated and time consuming gasket replacement to understand why the cost would be as estimated). The vehicle was repaired and ready for pick up, as they promised. They warrantee the repair for two years. I have had two good experiences with Minskly.Service: Engine repair

I found them on Google and called yesterday on my day off to see if I could get in for a few noise issues on my BMW 335i and they were able to accommodate and inspected my vehicle immediately upon arrival. Showed me on the spot what was the problem, found the cause of another noise issue that my regular mechanic and BMW Encinitas could not even find on 3 occasions. Fix both of those problems and changed headlight that I needed done all in one visit. When I picked it up, they even test drove it with me for 10 minutes to see if I'm ok with the noise reduction. Their prices were very fair, professional and competent people. I am satisfied and will be taking my Mercedes here as well.

My 1985 Mercedes 300 SD was hit in the rear while parked by an other car, pushing it about 30 ft into garbage cans with parking brake on. 3 days prior to this I got the car back from another shop who did a complete transmission overhaul. I asked, based where the car was and what I read on the internet Minsky (with whom I never dealt before) to do a general inspection of the car, having concerns about the transmission and may be the engine. They found a long list of issues which my normal Mercedes shop I used over 20 years never told me. Had front steering done, new shocks fitted, rebuilt starter motor installed fuel lines at injectors replaced and wheels aligned. Cost for all was $4850, with a couple of other items scheduled to be done in the future. Drove this 36 year old car as hard as I could yesterday over 800 miles, with speeds of 110 mph on straights at outside temp's of over 36 degrees C and AC on! no overheating or any other issue! Can't get better than that. Still have to address the body damage the other car left, which nobody in the US wanted to do.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Wheel alignment

Great service with no hassle price quotes.For those who are complaining about being over charged, how is that possible?!? You are given a price quote ahead of time. You can also call other shops and price them before you proceed with Minskys service.Not only does this shop have competitive pricing but they were very knowledgeable in the vehicles the work on. They also informed me of other issues with my vehicle and gave me no-hassle pricing options. I was already aware of these issues, so it's good to know they are honest as well.I only take my mercedes to the dealer but this place does they job better and at a better rate.Thank you.

I drove to this auto repair shop out of desperation because my car died on a Saturday, but I am SO glad to have found this place. They welcomed me right away and were so kind throughout the repair process. They even worked through their lunch to make sure I could get my car back the same day. I will return for all my car servicing. Highly recommend.

Since moving to San Diego, the only place I take my Mercedes for regular service is Minsky. Honest and friendly service seems to be a rarity these days, and Binh and Co. certainly instill a lot of confidence in their customers. My car continues to run great and I have the team at Minsky auto to thank for that!

I am a regular customer and I am really disappointed about my recent services from them. They were totally unprofessional and overcharged for the oil changes and filter change which was more than the Mercedes dealer. They have charged over 30% for service A as compared to the same service done just last year from them and charged $80 labor for simple air filter change which is far more than what the dealers charge. Also they charged $120 to do simple trouble shoot on the electrical system which the dealers do not charge at all and was going to charge over $800 to fix something that there was no problem at all. It is disappointing that they will screw their loyal customers like this. It is not about money but the principles. I will not return to them again and will tell all my friends and associates about their fraudulent practice.
