Minh is such an experienced professional mechanic!This is me and my boyfriend s go to place whenever we have our car problem. I have a fiat 500 and he has a Nissan rogue.Minh is very knowledgeable, patient to explain the problems and charge a fair price for the fix. Really good communication!!! Highly recommend!!

Minh is an excellent mechanic. And in my experience working with him he is extremely honest and transparent about the issues he has fixed for me. He even shows and demonstrates to me what is going on with the vehicle. He understands car maintenance is expensive and will work with you on figuring out the most cost-effective fix, or if a fix is not even needed, he will let you know.I come here for major repairs and regular oil changes. Both are great service.

I am so thankful for Minh's professionalism, knowledge and has the BEST customer service I have ever had when it comes to auto repairs. I was recommended to this shop by a good friend of mine. My 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid was having problems with acceleration and jerking. Based on what I told Nghia and his initial inspection of my vehicle, He recommended I change the transmission fluid first. He did a full flush for me and I was able to drive my car for about a month before my engine light started blinking. I immediately call Nghia and he said to bring it in even though he was already working on other clients. After diagnosing it and reading the codes further he found out that it was my coils. Unfortunately, my car has 8 of them so it was a pretty steep repair cost. I spent over $1000 but if I went to any other shop I know it would cost me a lot more. Nghia fixed my car the next day and I felt an immediate change in driving. Nghia was honest with me and said if the problem was my transmission then it would cost me $4-5k and at that point it wouldn't be worth putting money into my car. I appreciated his honesty, simple explanations and expertise more than anything. I'm happy that I took my car to Minh's and that he recommended the small fixes before telling me to swap out my entire transmission. Apparently the whole time it was my coils instead! Needless to say, He saved me thousands of dollars and a headache. Thank you!

My wife's 2013 Nissan was having an issue with the power seat and Minh was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem in 15 minutes and also cleared a sensor that has been giving her issues as well. He was very honest and upfront and recommend him for anyone!

THE most honest auto mechanic I ve ever met. Minh was so insightful about my car and took time to explain to me everything I had questions about as well as all of the work he was doing on my car. He showed me why I needed my transmission fluid replaced and walked me through a lot of other things he noticed with my car through inspection. Price was way better than the other mechanics.Lastly, he SHOWED me the bogus repairs that the dealer wanted to do on my car. He explained to me what my car REALLY needed and showed me how the other mechanics were trying to scam me. I can t praise him enough. I had a great experience and literally never want to move from the area because I ll never find an auto mechanic like him again.

Minh is really the mechanic to go. He helped me with all my vehicle problems with such a reasonable price beating other mechanic shops. As a car enthusiast myself, I needed to get my vehicle up-to-date with current California laws but had no time to do it, Minh got it done within less than 2 hours. He informed me with all the problems I had about my car which I already knew, but the fact that Minh would go above and beyond, taking his time to let me know all the problems about my car was very worth the visit. Please give Minh a chance to fix your car that is out of your handle, you will not be disappointed with his professional work and feedback. He may also be saving you quite bit of money if you were to go to a branded mechanic shop or the dealership. I would definitely drive my car from OC to this shop to get my car looked at. 11/10.

My AC stopped working during my roadtrip on July 4th. I was eager to have it fixed because it was really hot in San Diego. All the auto shops were closed during the holiday, but Minh picked up the phone. I was able to schedule an appointment with Minh and it was a huge relieve for me. During my appointment, Minh helped perform a quick check and it turned out nothing was broken, it was probably a glitch. Minh didn't even charge me for this quick check and explained to me what usually would happen when AC has issues so I can pay attention to it down the road. I was so grateful for it and I was able to enjoy the rest of my road trip! Minh is a really nice and responsible person and I highly recommend this place!

This family-ran business is truly remarkable, easy-to-work-with, affordable, and reliable. All members of the family have helped me along my way as I experienced various issues with my car. All of the positive reviews have been left for a reason! I plan on using Minh Auto Repairs for all of my cars, and I highly recommend this place to anyone. They re amazing! Do yourself a favor and come here before shopping around at others.

My brakes badly needed replacing. They were squeaking so loud that it sounded somewhat urgent. Based on the Google reviews of several auto repair shops in the area, I ended up going to Minh Auto Repairs. I called ahead to see if they were able to fit me in to diagnose the issue, and give me an estimate on cost and timing. He told me to come by, and that he would take a look at it as soon as I got there. Long story short, both my front brake pads and rotors needed replacing and he could start working on it right away. My car was done in less than 3 hours (the longest part of the job was waiting for the parts to get there). Minh was professional, quick, knowledgeable and could not have been any nicer. He pointed out the issues with my brake pads and rotors. He answered all my questions, checked the rear brakes, checked the car for any leaks, and did not recommend any additional services at this time since none were needed. My brakes were as good as new, and I drove away a very satisfied customer. It was a very pleasant experience and I wouldn't hesitate to return to Minh's for future repair needs. I ve come to Minh a few times, and every time, he has always taken care to be sure of the problem before doing any work. He explains things to customers very well and is honest. One time, I came in for brake service thinking that I needed it, and free of charge, Minh spent about 15 minutes driving with me explaining why I didn t actually need any work. I can tell that Minh takes pride in his work and in treating his customers well, and I look forward to coming back when I need it.

I had an issue with my engine turning on an then off. I called a few auto repair shops in the area, all quoting high initial diagnostic rates. Then I called Minh Auto Repairs. Minh was reasonably priced! Diagnostic was reduced if I did the repair also. So turns out my ignition coils were an issue. Ive worked preciously with dealerships before and could tell he was precise, honest and fair. Did the ignition repairs, and told him to do the brakes too with good parts. Car runs awesome now. Minh completed the repairs quickly and had me back on the road the same day! Go to Minh, save time and money. Love this place. A+ service.

Very Reliable and the price is great! So, I moved out to San Diego about a year ago from Massachusetts. A few months ago, I needed to find a mechanic for my car. It's hard to find a reliable mechanic. I checked a lot of reviews and was hesitant to pick one. I wanted to make sure the first one I pick, is my only one. I didn't want to do trial and error. Luckily, my first choice was my best choice, with Minh Auto Repairs. I reached out to Minh Auto Repairs, and the owner responded really quick and had me in his shop in no time. He did a diagnostic on my car and determined the root cause of my problem. Love it! I like that he didn't go in and start replacing everything until the problem gets fixed. He had my water pump replaced the same day, and my car is running awesome again. The work was good, and the price was fair. From that day on, I would bring my car and my wife's car to him for all maintenance and if I have major problems. Very Honest Mechanic! I ve had an oil leak, but it was misdiagnosed by another company. I went to Minh, and we repaired it based on the other company s quote, but we quickly realized the oil leak problem was misdiagnosed. Minh has since then checked the car twice to identify the main oil leak source without additional charge, and provided a complimentary cleaning for it. Communicative, professional and does not overcharge. Minh goes out of his way to save you money on parts if at all possible; he is honest about what needs to be repaired and explains in depth what your options are. I've been to many mechanic shops that charge just for a diagnostic and aim to overcharge for parts and services that aren't needed. He is genuine and knowledgeable - I've had come to his shop for multiple repairs ranging from radiator swaps to changing stabilizers and each time he has been accommodating, kind and honest. I had a problem with my car, and I called Minh auto and they were extremely nice and gave me invaluable information even though I couldn't get my car over to them to do the repair. They did offer to tow my car over, but I was leaving town so I just didn't have time and it had just been put on a tow truck to another mechanic via my insurance company. Great honest company. I will definitely come to them in the future!

Minh Auto Repairs is officially my new go to auto mechanic. I got the opportunity to work directly with Minh and he was awesome in so many ways. He does not charge for a diagnostic and will ride with you to make sure to properly identify the problem you need fixed. He always troubleshoots before inspecting the car making sure he knows the problem before receiving the quote. He has 15+ years of knowledge about vehicles and what really set him apart from other mechanics is that he goes into detail about how to keep your car strong for a long time. He explains expert information in a way that is understandable for a regular person. I already set my girlfriend up with him to get her car checked out next! He will officially be the person I recommend to anyone that asks me where they can get a quick and confident auto repair! Thanks Minh!

Two positive visits to Minh for my Subaru. Minh was able to figure out some strange shaking that kept occurring at high speeds that ended up being from two separate issues and he did both quick and at a reasonable price. Car feels much better now. Hopefully I won't need to put my car back into Minh's shop anytime soon, but if I do I know it'll be done fast and right.

As someone who is not proactive about preventative car maintenance, I m thankful this place has always taken care of me, not only at a reasonable price, but very quickly, so I am able to resume my disorganized schedule ASAP. I ve had hubs replaced, brakes, radiator, timing belt, spark plugs; eventually he will have rebuilt my entire car. My car started to act weird, slow starting, backup camera not working, and wouldn t start a few times. I called around and no one had availability till the following week. I then called Mihn, who not only was knowledgeable, but said he could run a full diagnostic to figure out exactly what s going on. I repair my car 99% of the time and am picky, but after finally getting it to start I went over to his shop. He got me right in, diagnosed it quick as a bad starter and worked with me on the price (I would have saved an amazing $10 if I did the job myself)! Uses OEM or high grade parts ONLY which you need to do. Going cheap on parts will always come back to haunt you as they will fail (I ve learned the hard way). Well sometimes its hard to trust your vehicle (HHR) in another persons hands especially when your vehicle has a lot of miles on it. Minh could have charged me extra but he didn't, in fact he even offered to do a bit extra with no cost at all. I walked away thinking to myself, there are two things i come away from my experience with Minh.ONE, there are good and honest mechanics out there and TWO it doesn't always have to cost a lot as you may expect. Can t overstate how great this place is. While the issues with my car were incredibly frustrating and felt never-ending, I never felt like they were being dishonest, and the prices were certainly fair (or even much lower than other places). I was well informed and was able to take a look at all the parts that were damaged and why they needed replaced. Very accommodating and helpful, and had lots of patience for my very obvious frustration with my car. Thank you again for a great experience and great work!!

I had my Toyota Corolla engine overhauled at Minh Auto Repairs a few years ago. The car has run smoothly since then. In fact I have all my family cars repaired by them. They often charge me within my budget and give advice to me how to maintain my car properly. I highly recommend to everyone using their service.

Glad I found a Auto Repair shop I can trust. Great customer service. Nick always does his best to get my car in and out ASAP with a very reasonable price. As a girl, I know nothing about cars and some shops will take advantage of that. Nick will always make an effort to explain to me what has been repaired and why. He'll even show me the old parts he took out of my car before tossing it out. Nick makes me feel very comfortable and is never trying to up sale me. The shop is small so call before stopping by.
