Dave and his team worked well past closing time on Friday to get my car back to me for Easter weekend. They were fantastic. I am 73 years old. They are the best service facility I have ever used. Highly recommend them to everyone!

David, the owner, is a fantastic representative, not just for Meineke but for mechanics everywhere. While my knowledge is limited when it comes to cars, David is always consistent in explaining the what is what whenever I take my car in.The shop is always straight with pricing and clearly outlining future work, potential solutions, and workable pricing. In a world where car payments are in the triple and quadruple digits- fair pricing is everything.Not to mention, the mechanics who work here are excellent at their work. Always willing to work at a problem and make recommendations on how to troubleshoot.

The men at Meineke have been tremendously helpful and patient as I have brought my car back with multiple issues. They are wonderful at communicating throughout the whole process and really made sure I understood what was going on with my car. They were also especially flexible with the times that I dropped my car off, includes times that they were closed. The key drop box helped make it convenient when my car had to be towed on a day that they were closed. I am very appreciate if everyone at Meineke and would highly recommend their services. Had a window motor replaced. Was told by the guy that it would definitely last for the rest of the cars life and only two years it is broken. Would not recommend getting work done here unless you only want a short term solution.

I needed my rear brakes replaced and my dad told me to find a Meineke. Steve and his team: Gilbert, Javier, and Armando did a phenomenal job with a nearly 2005 Camry with mismatched parts! I am so grateful for their dedication to see the job done right the first time. They charged me a very fair price and stayed after a bit to ensure I was able to drive away safely. Steve was also kind enough to show me around my car so I understood what was happening along the way. I will be coming here for all of my vehicle s needs from here on out!

It is the excellent car mechanics I found in San Diego. Really it s amazing their worksPrecisely professional mechanics people there. They repair my car professional many things within less than two days . The parts and their labor cost( price) is very very great full. They have good professional customer service. I really appreciate that they were able to get my car in and take a look at it right away after my brake light came on, even tho it was a Sunday evening. Very knowledgeable, friendly, affordable, and prompt with the repairs.Would definitely recommend and return here for future car maintenance

Update: Took my car elsewhere for a second opinion and they were honest about my brakes and axle and sealed the deal for me to give them my car and complete the services needed.Not coming back. The person on the phone seemed like he was having a day as I asked questions and each response was a deadpan how can I help you . Still against my better judgement took my car in and the actual mechanics were cool and the guy I spoke with on the phone was nicer in person but questioning why I brought my car there. And they said they would give me a call with estimates for the work and it's day 3 and still haven't heard back.See you never know who will contact your business but treat them with respect, a smile, and interest in your needs no matter what. That will get you my business and recommendation every time.

$200 for a diagnostics is absolutely outrageous. I used to trust these guys. They ve gone all way to the dark side. Weirdly bad attitude as well. I felt like I wronged them by dropping off my car in the morning and leaving my key. That s what a key drop off is for.

I'm old enough to know it is difficult (especially in a newer city, to me) to find an auto mechanic who is competent AND honest. The whole crew at this Meineke, on Damon Ave, is top shelf.Upon relocating from NYC to SD in Oct 2019, I rented Hertz vehicles for 3 years to do uber. They (Hertz) use this Meineke for their fleet vehicles. Over that time, I was really able to evaluate this shop, in anticipation of of my future vehicle purchase (which happened in Oct 2022 A 2020 Nissan 4WD Pathfinder SL).DAVE (owner/mgr) is an expert who I have come to know and rely on now that I DO OWN my own vehicle. He has helped me tweak my suv to like-new condition.I LOVE MY PATHFINDER and will be taking very good care of her. ("BETTY")I trust DAVE implicitly. After car repair on 10/01, the shaking of the steering wheel has improved significantly, but there is still a strong vibration from the brakes, driver's seat, and passenger seat when stopped. Before deciding on whether to fix them or not, you claimed that the issue was due to aging all mounts and recommended replacements. I totally don't understand why this problem still remains because I replaced all four mounts and transmission oils for over $1,200. Could you please explain the reason and take actions for this problem?Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

First time going there, it took 8 hours! 8 HOURS?!?!? Then a few weeks later I was supposed to get an estimate. I never received that estimate. After waiting 8 hours for an $800 repair, you would think that I d be valued enough to receive the estimate I was told I would get.

Meineke did a great job changing the oil on my Porsche 911. Hard to find shops wanting to tackle a Porsche. It was a two hours job because a number of parts need to be disassembled. Not cheap but much less than the Porsche dealership. Also, very pleasant to work with.

The person who answers the phone is very rude and very dismissive. Short sided, not want to tell me how much the oil changes. Condescending. Hung up before I can schedule for an oil change. Very unprofessional. Now we don't believe what other people say about Meineke.

My experience is awesome! David West, general manager of the place, was very helpful, he explained the necessary fixes in great detail and gave me several options for my consideration. David provided me with one of his Mercedes-Benz courtesy cars for the length of the repair. I have not had a better experience at an auto shop as I had at Meineke on Damon Ave in San Diego. I took my daughter s car in because a few warning lights came on when I was visiting her at college. Every step in the process I felt confident of their expertise and honesty. They double checked specifics to ensure the repair was indeed required. Hands down, the best customer and mechanical services I have ever received. These guys are scammers. The guy Angel (Humberto)replaced my Compressor this week. Told me he would charge $150 for labor and can do it after store hours, but than tells me there s no Freon in my car. So I showed him I had a brand new bottle from Auto Zone. So he looks troubled and says oh it will need more than that for your system. So I thought we ll it can t be any more than $80 or so and told him okay but never asked him how much they charge for Freon. Well after it s all said and done he tells me in front of the girl who referred me that he wasn t going to charge for labor but that the Freon would cost me $250!!!! So I decided to call today and ask how much they charge for Freon and the guy who answered (white guy) tried to go around the question and when I pressed for an answer cuz I kept bringing him back to that question of how much they charge he just started stuttering and hung up the phone on me. Beware don t take your car here for AC work or anything really. They re shady.

I brought in my truck to get my breaks looked at and ended up needing to get a master cylinder replaced. I was very happy with the work they did. They were very busy but super accommodating with my schedule and they even let me use a loaner so I wouldn t be stuck there all day. Everyone I dealt with was from the service rep to the tech that worked on my truck was very friendly and professional. I will absolutely be back and wouldn t hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes
