I had a great experience, always do. Received excellent service, love receiving the invoice with price breakdown via text. It facilitates selecting which services I wish to move forward with without delaying the process. Fun stuff. Also, was provided with a cheaper option when the price didn t work with my budget, that was nice. Quick and easy, good service always. Happy with the results

The shop was over priced, the sales rep was not clear nor friendly. I wanted a break inspection and I got a full car inspection. Yes it s good for piece of mind but clearly used as upsale for more maintenance work. I do not recommend this shop.

Took my car hare after another mechanic and messed it up. They tried fixing his mess and told me that damage was done pretty bad, recommend engine swap, after going to other mechanics that gave me the same outcome but different estimates, I came back and they handled everything nice, professional and well done. Definitely coming back for regular maintenance.

Today I was at Wal-Mart when I got out a saw one of my tire very low on air. So I went to the meineke. And I ask the person if they patch tires and he said yes. He needed to look at my tire. And he said it gonna cost you $135 dollars to patch your tire about the same price of a new tire. I told him I he could sell me some air and he refused. He told me to go to Walmart and buy some. Very derespecful buy since my tire still had air I went to a tire store at San ysidro and 805 next to a 76 gas station. They charge me only $25 dollars. Big difference and customer service 10 of 10. To bad the treat seniors like that

On January 5th 2024 my wife took our car to Meineke to get our A/C fixed on our 2019 jeep grand Cherokee. After diagnostic it was said that our A/C compressor was bad so we agreed to let them fix the compressor totaling in $3306.79 in repairs. My wife drove the car to Texas and the problem was still occurring. When she came back I took the car back to meineke on the 28th of February because we had a warranty for 3 months. They diagnosed it once again and said it was over charged and had a leak in the system. Neither of those diagnoses made any sense to me because the system can not be over charged if it is leaking, and when I asked the technician about the vacuum and pressure test he conducted on my vehicle my car passed both which means there is no way it could be a leak. At that point the technician said all he could do was recharge my A/C system to see if that fixes the problem since they over charged it originally. That still did not fix the problem so I went back March 13th to see if they would help me figure out the problem but they said because I was passed the 3000 miles on my warranty I would have to pay all over again even tho they never fixed my original problem at all.

Extraordinarily overpriced oil changes... Unnecessarily weird vibe towards customers and employees in that place as soon as you walk in. For example, the "I use my gun to negotiate" bumper sticker. Maybe that's fun or funny to some people?Thank you for your military service, the oil change was fine, but I won't be going back to this place to get any work done on my car. I'll find other ways to support local vets.

came in for A tune-up and wow the service was amazing the Jesus was so friendly and very professional. he helped me get the right service amd even though the service was i didnt mind paying the service because. knew i was in good hands

188$. For an oil change is way Overpriced. I decided to go to Valvoline on H st They did it for 130$. I have a Hyundai palisade.Also the threatening message from the owner posted by the register is less than welcoming.

I had my oil changed at a local shop. I was shocked at the cost. $182.00 for an oil change. I proceeded with the change. I did not want to do it myself. But, I will not return again to a Meineke for any work. I could not believe how much it cost.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Always honest about repairs. They will assist you with what repairs need to be prioritized. Manager Robert knows his stuff. Also sign up for their credit card if you haven't already.Updated 4/27/2022:Although Manager Robert is no longer with this Location (Miss you, Friend). The new ownership has now taken a more prominent role in modernizing the "Typical" experience at a mechanic (Digital App with constant updates and Text Messages). I am glad with the inspections, and recommendations provided by the shop during my most recent visit. The crew is trustworthy and doesn't hesitate to tell its customers the business. Additionally, they took into consideration all requests I made. I am glad to be back in the Chula Vista area as this is a Full Service shop I can always trust. They may be busy at times, but it is worth it for a trustworthy mechanic team and flagship-esque service.Updated 10/08/2022Recently had tail lights, cold air intake and.. UNDERGLOW installed on my vehicle. Thanks to the hard work from the service crew at Meineke, my car looks cold and dark as ever. Didn't look at appointment notes, charged me over 300 for AN OIL CHANGE after telling me diagnostics are free then doing an "inspection" I never asked for. DO NOT GO HERE. They told me "we like to charge more than other Meineke's because it's a family business." So your family is more important to my income than my own? Unreal. Does Meineke know you use their name and change their policies and procedures? They have franchisee rules and regulations... you better be following them to a tee. No problem solving skills. Complete lack of awareness or professionalism. Kept adding cost for everything except what the appointment was for, then when I said cool as long as you fix the tire which I got fixed later for TEN DOLLARS, they said I'd have to pay another 100 for a tire plug. I got it plugged and BALANCED FOR 10. Your service is not superior, your responses to reviews are also highly unprofessional. "Not liking a price isn't a reason to leave a bad review." IT ISN'T UP TO YOU, THANKFULLY. Anyone can leave any review they want for any reason, ask the Better Business Bureau since I'll be sure you two meet very soon. Stop letting little kids with petty animus about being wrong and not reading the appointment notes run your business. AN UNFAIR PRICE COMPARED TO YOUR OWN OTHER BRANCHES IS ABSOLUTELY A REASON TO LEAVE A BAD REVIEW. Learn how business works, I've ran many... you're changing oil for a reason.See, I can be petty too.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS PLACE!!!! You ve been warned. Took my Ram in for a simple oil change and I had to get my insurance company involved to have it fixed properly. Got the oil change and my gut feeling told me to check everything over. They shorted me on oil and they made a bad repair job on the oil plug. They blamed me and refused to fix it. Save yourself the headache and either do it yourself and stay way from places like this.Service: Oil change

Meineke has been there for me and my stepdad for over 10 years. Service is great, the mechanics are very professional with their work, and they keep records on your vehicle so they know what it needs and how much it would cost. Definitely would recommend!

Highly recommend this Meineke! I brought my mother-in-laws car in for an oil change and to address some other issues and I received the best service! Fernando, Jesus & Sergio were all extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional! Over priced oil change. Told me that my left rear signal bulb was not working and wanted to charge me an additional $80. When I got home I checked the signal light and all were working.

Very overpriced. Got quoted by another mechanic and looked online and said the service should be about $100; they ended up charging me about $250. Mechanic was friendly, unfortunately unable to fix our car. Upon taking the car to a dealership they mentioned the keys had no chip in them. This would sound like it explains why the keys weren't able to program the car when it was at mieneke. The 2 star rating is for the lack of transparency while working. "We'll keep you updated" here means you have to ask for an update after you've waited hours and heard nothing. Veteran owned with no Veterans discount. Update; upon asking for the old parts which were replaced, we were told we'd receive them. Noticed they were in the car when we left went back to get them and their scrap guy already took the old pieces in to recycle. Nice

I brought my car in for a full synthetic oil change, an Air and cabinet filter replacement. It was a little pricey but the Quality of the work was good. The guys were very helpful, kind, and took care of my maintenance needs.I will return for future work and recommend. There services. Keep up the good work. I been out side since 720am on June 08, 2017. The sign and website say open at 730am. Employees outside waiting as well for someone to open. What kind of business have a sign and promotes a time that provides business and yet are not open. It's 8:28am right now that I'm posting this. Not good business. For all future customers be aware.

This wasn't your typical oil change job. There was a clanking noise coming from the left rear side of the car when we drove it. Tire specialists and the techs that changed the oil at another spot didn't raise any flags. Had a big Disney road trip planned and needed to get it fixed. Read the reviews at Meineke and thought I'd give it a shot.From the beginning phone call with Sergio, it was a pleasant experience. He asked targeted questions, some recommendations and made a good impression that made me want to take my car to their shop. In person, it just got better with smiles, jokes and handshakes. Met with Sergio and Fernando and they were approachable and knowledgeable. They asked a few more questions and took me in right away. Adan joined the group to help and I watched them investigate thoroughly. Was pleased to see how they diagnosed the issue from different angles. You could see the determination to figure out what was wrong. Long story short, they found loose screws on the sway bar that appears to be an un-common problem.Really appreciated the work ethic, professionalism and the help. I went here bc I had a coupon but this specific store does not accept coupons distributed by corporate. Prices are high compared to other places like Valvoline for things like oil changes at about $120, for a break service about $1200. The mechanic was told there was a cat in the back of the car (secured) and he started looking thru the back windows and had a fit about a cat being inside and left the job site. I decided to not get any service done, what else will the nosy mechanic try to look at next in my car?

The staff is very friendly. I had 2 new tires and went over to see if they could change and rotate. They were not very busy and said sure that it would be about 45 minutes. They quoted me $116 and so I left them the keys and headed off to lunch. I came back about an hour later but they still weren't done, no biggie. I waited another 20 minutes and the truck came around. I paid and left. While driving back to work I noticed the vehicle was a little "bouncy" up front & the tire PSI on the 2 new front tires were showing 50 psi. I was like whoa as all my tires have always been 40 PSI cold. I got back to work and checked the MAX PSI of these 2 new tires and they came in at 44 Max PSI per manufacturer. Also the RAM placard inside the door says the tires should be 39 PSI cold. I called them back and told them this and they said "We inflate the tires as specified for the vehicle". This makes no sense. The truck said 275/60R 20 tires should be set at 39 PSI and these tires (not the original make/model that came with the truck) says Max PSI 44. No where is 50 PSI stated so ... Its like saying I have a 24 ounce cup but were going to fill to 36 ounces because the cup goes inside a truck. The cup isn't designed to hold 36 Oz . These tires aren't designed to hold 50 PSI. I like the staff but seriously they could have killed me if these tires blew out at highway speeds.

Rip off oil service, they use good oil that's about it but wanna charge you an arm & leg for it. The guy in the front doesn't know what he's doing, the mechanic was sitting in the front desk asking ppl how can he help and then when some guy got there asking how much for an oil change he says we'll I can't tell you that Info, we would need to know what kind of car it is let my friend here will help you, I swear guy looked at him like he was an idiot and left lol I should of too, they switched the price on me once I had already agreed to one and then switched the oil on me to a cheaper one because he said he had messed up. Also Veteran owned but no veteran discount if anything they have the audacity to have a sing that says if you want to tip the staff for lunch Do your job stop begging for extra stuff, to the owner buy them lunch then here and there I've never seen such a sign makes the place look cheap yet they want $260 for an oil change Lol yeah never going here again. im laughing because the place to put such "lunch money "was full of trash hahahahaha

I went to have a tow hitch installed on my SUV. I purchased the part and Meinke quoted me a price just for labor of over $600 with taxes. Uhaul gave me a quote of $ 550 and that included all the parts and labor. YOU DO THE MATH!!
