This is my mechanic until they are gone. This mechanic is affordable and honest which is always hard to find on this industry. I highly recommend M&C Auto Repair!!!

I brought my car in to M&C because it was nearby and I wasn t certain the car would make it anywhere else without dying on the way. So glad I did!Long story short, they knew the diagnostic coming up wasn t the issue big picture and actually told me I should take it to the dealer, because in their experience with similar models, I was ultimately going to need an engine replacement and it may be covered under warranty. So I had it towed to a dealer and sure enough it was exactly what he said. And because I went to the dealer, since the car only had 56,000 miles on it, the manufacturer covered it in full.I truly appreciated their honesty and expertise and will definitely give them my business in the future!

Absolutely love these guys. I took my car in because it started to make a louder noise than usual. I had always been told that because my car is older, the engine is typically louder. However, when my car was returned, I have never heard it run so quietly! I was in complete shock. The team knew exactly what was wrong and the price was so fair. I will only be taking my car here moving forward, I trust them so much and my car is very happy now :)

I own a commercial fleet of vehicles that I have been taking to Vincent at M&C Auto Repair for a long time. My livelihood depends on keeping my vehicles maintained and on the road, M&C makes it happen! They are fast, do a great job and are reasonably priced. Without a doubt a great crew and I highly recommend them!

I've been taking my 99 2 Door Tahoe to MC for years. With 200k miles obviously a lot of routine repairs and parts replacement. Gilbert was awesome and Vincent has carried on the tradition with great prices and shooting me straight on diagnosing and the truly needed repairs. This is my toy and rare vehicle so getting quality repairs and fixed correctly the first time is priority, only MC touches this truck.

Very honest about what needed to be done to my car and that I didn t need a belt replaced that my dealership said I needed, saved me about $300. Vincent did spark plugs, engine air filter replacement, oil leak fix, mpg diagnostics, and replaced my back wiper and a door handle all for $250. I did have to take my car back on three different days and I would have preferred to leave it for once full 8 hour day to get it all done, seems like he overbooks himself a tad, but for that price and his honesty I can t complain

Vincent is an honest mechanic. No upselling, just a great place to get your car fixed or keep it running in top notch condition. Prices are competitive. Took my Toyota Camry in for a maintenance light issue and got the Toyota service for a better price than the dealership. They do great work at very fair prices, have been bringing different cars here for over 5 years now. You will get advice and explanations from the mechanic that has your interest in mind here and they are not eager to try to sell you repairs that are not needed.

My wife took the car to repair a evaporative leak - smog check issue. After multiple iterations and hundreds paid the guy sends us to the dealership since he can't fix it.. he is qualified to charge you money but not to fix the issue. Be aware.

A great shop that I will use them again. He quoted me a very reasonable price on a timing belt,water pump, cams and crank seal replacement and brake fluid flush. Also without asking, let me know why my check engine light was on and what needed to be replaced. Best part about it, they had work, but somehow got all this done in about 6 hours.

M & C is a blessing for our family in PB and they've always been our go-to shop for the last 10-15 years.It switched management from Gil to Vincent a few years ago and I have not noticed a single difference in how things operate there. We take all our cars there, and as an ex racing mechanic, I trust them to do the dirty work or tricky diagnostics on some newer cars I don't want to deal with.Both Gil and Vincent have never set off my BS detectors - even close.I send my mom, aunts, and sisters there without thinking twice, but anytime I've double checked a quote or diagnosis, they've always come up fully correct and honest in their assessments.The honesty coupled with the quality of the work I've seen from them is a good as it gets IMO.I hope they stick around for the decades to come; they're a local asset for sure.

A friend recommended this mechanic to me a few years ago, and Vincent and his crew are amazing! Pricing is fair, they are honest, have reviewed my car when I hear a problem for free, fixing what needs to be fixed. Unless I leave San Diego, this is my shop.

Had all 4 brake pads changed out here. I really appreciate the great communication and quality work. Valvoline next door told me to go here because of their great service, and they were right. Thank you guys!

Been here 3 times for both mine and my husband's vehicles and being new to the SD area, it is nice to have found a reliable and respectful mechanic. They are very professional yet personable and have provided same day service each visit (which is wonderful for our busy and ever changing work schedules.) I would highly recommend taking your vehicles here because they know what they are doing!

Excellent friendly service! They diagnosed my vehicle free. They do work fast and cheap! This place is great. They help me out every time or refer me to the best nearby shops that can. They will put on parts for you if you can find the parts cheap too. I've saved a lot of time and money going through these guys. 5 start all the way!!

M & C is an outstanding shop. I trust Gilbert and his crew implicitly from my previous dealings with them and today that was strongly reinforced when I brought my 2007 Toyota Yaris in to have it looked at. A belt was squeaking when starting it cold. An M & C repair guy (I forgot what his name tag said) stopped what he was doing to check out my car. The belt was brand new so he decided it just needed to be tightened. In about 20 seconds he moved the starter back about 2 inches which tightened the belt significantly. Here's the best part: he refused to take any money for me. That' s right! He added significant value to me, but because it cost him (and the shop) so little, he did it for me on the house. If that is not a sign of a top notch mechanic, in terms of trust, I have no idea what is. Thank you M & C! You have my business for as long as I live in San Diego.

Ive been taking 3 cars to them on the regular, always gives me a fair price and charges me for only what needs to be done. I trust them to do what needs to be done and not try to make extra money off me. Truly the best repair shop I have ever found... and they work fast.

They do fantastic work, quick, are extremely responsive, and have really good rates. I was referred here by a friend that is a long time PB resident and I can't be more satisfied by M&C's work. I wholeheartedly recommend them and would without a doubt come here again.

My "service engine soon" dashboard light came on and after calling a couple places to see if they'd be able to tell me what the problem is, I found M & C which provided me with enough information about the problem to make an informed decision. They did it for free while other places quoted me $109 just to tell me what the problem is according to the manufacturer's service codes. Really nice guys; I would definitely go back to them for other auto repair needs in the future.

I've been taking my two cars to Gilbert for years. He's skillful and honest. I can't praise him too highly. He's simply the best... and you can trust him completely. It's almost unbelievable to find a place like M & C Auto Repair...but it's there!

Great little mechanic. Was able to get a thermostat replaced and installed on my Jeep Wrangler for less than half of what was quoted by the dealership. Pretty good guy.

It is incredibly rare to find an honest, trustworthy mechanic who will charge a fair price for really quality work, and attention to detail. Gilbert and his crew do just that, and for this reason, I will always take my cars to him before anyone else. Thank you, Gilbert.

As a female Saab owner, it s difficult to find a trusting mechanic. These guys are great! The price for labor was really fair and the repair was done pretty quickly.

I think these are fair and honest people who do great work. I m very happy with the service they provided. They are friendly and timely and communicated well. Will go back for future work if needed.
