Best repair shop I have ever been to! The people who run this place are very helpful and will work with you whatever state your car is in. I appreciate them finding a simple solution and not overcharging me for anything!!

My appointment was for 8am the day before Thanksgiving. I got there early, while they were setting up their signs and opening up the bay.Another person arrives after and was served before me. The elder woman there told me he was a 'backup appointment'? Then told me I had to wait... there was only 1 mechanic.They seemed like nice people, but the service made me feel treated unfairly and no one likes that.

I arrived at Kwon's Auto Repair unexpectedly because my go-to repair shop was closed. I made the mistake of purchasing a car prior to a car inspection (don't make this mistake). After noticing a few things with the car, I decided to bring it in for an inspection and was blown away by their attention to detail and customer service. While I was there, they noticed that my alternator needed to be fixed and they were able to get the job completed right away. Prior to leaving they gave me a report of the current issues with my car so that I can prioritize my repairs and not have any unexpected surprises in the future. Super thankful that I had gone there and I will be going there from now on!

Ive been coming to this place for 4-5 years now. They tell you only the truth about your car, and never try to overcharge when there are tons of auto repair shops tryna rip off of you. I truly appreciate it and highly recommend this place.

This place is top notch. I came here originally for a smog check, which was done in 15 minutes despite them being very busy at the time. In addition, the customer service and level of competency for auto repair are both outstanding. The mechanic spoke with me directly, was happy to answer all of my questions, and gave me a free and fast quote on my next repairs and maintenance for my car (which, by the way, happened to be significantly less expensive than a quote from another garage). This is my second time here, and service was consistently excellent both times. This is also a local family-owned business. They are doing exactly what so many auto repair businesses are not doing: prioritizing customer service and doing no-nonsense good work at great rates.

I have visited Kwon's a number of times and I am always very pleased with the service I receive. My last visit was for a smog check which was done quick and efficiently. While there, a vehicle inspection was also done and it was identified that I needed brakes as well. I new I needed brakes but I didn't realize that they were a 5% of wear remaining. When I spoke with Janice, she was informing me and not necessarily recommending that I needed to get them done immediately. However, I did asked them to proceed if they could have the truck complete by 4pm. Kwon's had it completed at the promised time and for a very fair price for labor and OEM parts. I will continue to bring my vehicle there for service and recommend them to anybody looking for a quality repair at a fair price.Services: Brakes, Auto emissions testing

I've taken my Honda here several times and have had excellent experiences every time. Janice does a great job of explaining everything and helps me plan ahead for what my car will need next and when. The prices are quite reasonable and when I've had a lot of work done, they worked with me to lower some costs. Unlike most other shops I've been to, I never feel like I'm being pushed to do something my car doesn't need yet (or at all) and I've never been fed a line of BS about a particular service or part.This is a fantastic family owned and operated business that I highly recommend!

I was visiting from LA when my my engine started making some weird screeching noises. Kwon s were able to accommodate me at short notice and their manager, Janice, was highly communicative throughout the process both in-person and by text. Aside from relying on diagnostics, the technical team carried out their own test to locate the issue and gave me an estimate straight away. It took a few days to get the parts and complete the repair, but totally understandable given the issue. I am moving to SD soon and Kwon s will be my go to place for auto repairs for sure!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto brake repair, Engine repair, Auto brake replacement

I have a sports car I ve been taking on track for several times. Came to Kwon s each time for service including brakes, oil, transmission maintenance etc. I am very satisfied with the service quality as well as the customer service. The price is reasonable and the service is just quick. Since I will be staying at SD for another five or six years, this is the shop I ll go to for car maintenance for the coming years.

Both customer & auto service is GREAT. They re very thorough and straight to the point when diagnosing your vehicle. Communication & follow-up is great. When you set an appointment, they honor that appointment and start right on time. I ve taken my vehicles here a few times, and the CONSISTENT service has now made it my go-to place for any & all of my auto repair needs. I highly recommend Kwon s to anyone. Have been to this shop multiple times and each time they've been prompt and professional with getting back to me, and giving me quotes. They're always very kind and I feel like I can trust them when they inform me about issues with my car. Recently brought a friend's car to replace their battery and got it back incredibly quickly. Kwon's Auto Repair is excellent. During this challenging time I wanted to make sure I supported a locally owned business and I was lucky enough to find Kwon's in my search. They treated me with kindness and respect and handled my vehicle's issues with fair prices and quick service. I was thoroughly impressed with Kwon's and will most definitely be a returning customer!

I set up an appointment with Kwon's to change out my tires, as the threads are pretty much gone. As they took out the tires, they noticed my front brake pads are almost gone as well, so they asked me if I wanted to get new pads since I was there already, and I agreed. They were able to order the new pads and rotors, and have them in the shop within 10 minutes for immediate swap, and it took less time than expected for them to finish changing the tires, pads, and rotors. I was impressed with the efficiency of Kwon's technicians.After they finished everything, the manager Janice came and explained what they did, and noted that my car battery is on the low side (~30% capacity left), and asked if I wanted to change it next time or get it done the same day. I had planned a camping trip for July 4th, and did not want any accident to happen with my car not being able to start, so I agreed to get a new battery. I was worried about the time, but they had me waited no more than 15 minutes to order, pickup, and install the battery.In total, I saved hundreds of dollars by going to Kwon's to change my tires, brake pads, rotors, and battery. They treat the customers with honesty and provide good suggestions and recommendations for your car. All in all, a great shop to get my car in for any repair or maintenance.

My car had died during an outing (no engine light or battery check warning). Kwon s happily accepted my car once it was dropped off by the tow truck. They were able to diagnose that the battery and alternator needed to be changed. They had also discovered that the valve cover gasket also needed to be replaced. Overall, I appreciated their honesty. Once a diagnosis was made they would call to provide me a quote and to confirm what should be fixed now and what repairs could wait until later. I love this place. It's nice to able to go to an auto shop and not worry about your vehicle. The technicians are reliable and knowledgeable. Janice and her mom always take good care of their customers. Pricing is fair and reasonable, and the work is always done within specs and completed in a timely manner. I will not go anywhere else to have my vehicle serviced. Kwon's is the best.

We were traveling from out of state to CA, and our minivan s alternator went bad suddenly. We needed to repair the alternator right away, so we contacted Kwon s Auto Repair on Saturday morning. Kwon s Auto Repair staff were so professional and incredibly helpful to explain what we needed to do in order to bring our vehicle to their shop immediately. Meanwhile they went out of their ways to secure the parts before our arrival and got ready to receive our minivan. Then they worked on our vehicle right away and replaced the alternator and checked other engine parts with diagnostic tests. Our minivan is running like a brand new vehicle now, and we are able to travel without any fear of breaking down again. Huge congrats and thanks to Kwon s Auto Repair for coming to the rescue and providing us a 5+ Star service by going above and beyond their call of duty!! Glad my husband and I found a local repair shop that we trust. We started going to Kwon's for our smog check and felt comfortable using them for repair on our Honda, CRV and Nissan, Rogue. Needed to get a full diagnostic and get my check engine light taken care of. Janice and her team have excellent customer service as I had messaged them for a quote earlier in the week. The entire time they weren t pressuring me for anything unlike some shops I ve been to before. A few hours after I dropped off my car, I received a call with their findings to get my check engine light turned off. I appreciate that their facility has safety precautions for the current pandemic with hand sanitizer, plexiglass barriers at the front desk, and their entire team was taking all precautions seriously. I would definitely do business with them again.

My car had overheated a week before coming here, and i had gotten it fixed, then a friend and i drove down to san diego from LA the next weekend. Half way through the drive, warning lights came back on. My friend found Kwons as it was one of the few places open. They were extremely friendly. Kwons is asian-american women ran, and they are amazing. If your car breaks down in San Diego, i highly recommend going here. I felt safe, and treated as an equal.

This place is a literal NIGHTMARE. They charged me $550 for fixing a door, but then broke my other door which was working PERFECTLY before I left my car with them. They said it happened in the mean time while they were fixing it, so were not liable. WHERE DOES THAT MAKE SENSE. They wanted $350 MORE to fix the door they broke. These people are SCAMMERS. Stay away from this place. Literally in shock, I ve never had such a horrible experience with an auto repair shop in my life.Service: Electrical repair

they fixed my car super fast, and for an affordable price. i was really happy to get my car back from them, running better than when i bought my used car, it was pretty amazing. worked on it for maybe two three hours and i was in and out and paid through. really good service, family owned small business, in the middle of miramar/mira mesa. very convenient stop to get my car fixed and parts ordered and in-store within a week. very reliable services. will come again and again. excellent service.

Kwon's Automotive has always been fair to me. They take the age of my car into account and they never try to upsell me. One time they couldn't reproduce a problem and they didn't even charge me the diagnostic fee. You better believe they got my business again when the problem came up again more consistently two months later and this time they are able to fix it.

This shop is hands down the cheapest star certified smog check station in Miramar. I was in and out in less than half an hour. 2005 bmw 530i.

I had been looking for a place to smog my high roof van. There are plenty of places that will smog your vehicle but only a few that can accommodate high profile vehicles. Kwon s can do them all! Super friendly, helpful and fast! I walked away with a smile. Highly recommend this shop to anyone in need. I will be taking my other vehicles here when the time comes.

I stopped by Kwon's Auto Repair on Miramar Rd. for a smog check and was pleasantly surprise at the friendly and courteous service provided by the shop. They found a problem with my radiator and was very reasonable in price and great service. Now I recommend them to all my friends and family.
