I showed up 30 minutes earlier than my oil change appointment and they still took me in.Nestor took care of me and man he is great at his job. Super friendly and knowledgeable.Drop your car off here and go have some great Asian food nearby while you wait. You can't beat it!They had my car in and out promptly. I 100% recommend this service location.

Called and made an appointment for oil & filter change and multi-point inspection. Showed up early, dropped the car off with Ana and was even offered a Lyft while my car was being serviced.Got a call and text that the car was ready for pickup, the car was washed too which was super appreciated.Thanks Ana and team for the great customer service and job well-done. Please keep up the great work/service and I ll keep driving down to Kearny Mesa for all my future appointments!

Pablo in sales returned my call at 9:05 after opening at 9am and I came in and he showed me what options I had both below and above my price point and color options and let me decide what I wanted to consider. He was great at listening to what I set as top needs and considered everything in my behalf as we worked to finalize everything with finance (Pi�a in Finance thank you too!!) When I made arrangements to get my old ca Rh�ne, they detailed the vehicle and stripped the protecting plastic and got it ready for the road and I was headed home in a few hours with my new vehicle.If you do most of your prep research for a vehicle online like I did, come visit KM Subaru to test drive and ask for Pablo to work out the price and you will be home happy and ready to hit the road in a top of the line vehicle.

OUTSTANDING! I felt 'taken care of' by John in the service department. Subaru of Kearny Mesa went far beyond the call of duty when our 2014 Forested had a problem that the aftermarket warranty just would not cover. The BEST service experience I have ever had in my 72 years on this earth. This shop strengthens the Subaru brand with outstanding service.Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Oil change

Started great from start to end for getting recall done for air bag. In the end, it was given some recommendations for repair. that total was up to $10000 .crazy thing, 80% of these repair were already done recently, not even 3 months ago.Total cost of $500when mentioned to the management about the issue that your mechanic actually never checked the car. If he did, he would have noticed all brand new parts ,instead, he said we use OEM part and totally understandable.But your mechanic didn't say parts are not OEMIt said it needs to be changed, which means that it is old. as an example of an air and cabin filterJust replaced the month a go and even transmission fluids .It is sad that service writers did a great job, butManger and mechanic didn't

Currently waiting- will update if needed once service is done. Technicians are very friendly, careful with vehicles, and ensure that exactly what I ask for is done, nothing more nothing less. Not a bad wait time at all for large technical issues and things that take some time to take care of. Clean waiting area and indoor and outdoor seating for waiting if necessary. They also have water bottles with their branding on it for free for those using their department.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Transmission repair

I will never come back to this service department again. First they misdiagnosed the problem, they reprogrammed my tire sensors and THEN told me the cost would not be covered by warranty. So I paid $159 for a repair that I was not expecting, then when I arrived home after picking up my car the problem was back. When I returned the next day I was provided a loaner, which is great. However, I then did not hear from ANYONE in service on the status of my car for an entire week! I called multiple times, left multiple messages. No call back, no update. I dropped my car off on a Wednesday for the second time and I did not receive a single call from the service dept until the following Friday at 5:58 pm when my car was ready. I went a week and a half with no update, to come in and find out they replaced ONE tire pressure sensor. This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had at a dealer. I will never be back.

They want me to write a review so sure I ll leave a review. This place has garbage service but I m forced to use them for recall fixes. Won t use them for anything else. They have this bizarre system where you can only speak to your advisor about your cars status. Your advisor will do things like tell you the car will be ready in a day but then disappear and not call you for two days. If you call all they ll do is transfer you to your advisors voicemail and tell you that only your advisor can help you. This happened twice to me so I don t think it s rare!Avoid!

I was recently seen at the Subaru dealership for routine maintenance on my Forester. The staff provided exceptional customer service. They were professional and accommodating. Every staff member I interacted with was kind and efficient. I would like to specifically recognize Josue, Nester, and Manny. I was absolutely impressed from start to finish. I discovered a nail in my tire and called the Subaru service center. The rep asked me a few questions and said they would be able to patch it and could fit me in for a 2:30 appointment. The nail was in the tread, not the side and could easily be patched. I headed over to the service department and when I got there they told me they were too busy and I'd have to come back. Additionally, the rep looked at my tire and said I would now need a new tire and quoted me $230 for the service. I then had to drive home(with the nail in my tire). I looked up the same tire and found it for $140 at Discount Tire. I set up an appointment at Discount Tire and they told me they could easily patch it. I went to Discount Tire and was in and out with a FREE patch in 20 minutes. I will not be going back to the Kearny Mesa Subaru Service center for any of my vehicle needs. Might need to rethink our car choice next time since my wife and I both have Subaru's.....

Subaru knocks it out of the park once again. The team that worked on my car was awesome! Sergio, my Service Advisor, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. 2018 wrx StiThis was my first time here using their service center, the service advisor was friendly, but I was not happy with the service I received. I came in just for an oil change. I noticed that my oil went down the first few weeks and I thought it was normal for my car to burn a little oil. I left the car sitting for about a month and still noticed that the oil got lower. I went down to take look for myself and surprise! The oil filter was not screwed on correctly. (I took pictures)I tried calling about 3 times and I kept getting redirected until I got to a voicemail. Hopefully they return my call, until then it's going to be 1 .Make sure to check everything within the service before leaving. Let them explain what they've done and show you on your car. This goes to show that something as simple as an oil change could have potentially destroyed my engine over time. (I'm thankful nothing happened).Service: Oil change

Worst place to ever buy a car, or have a car serviced. I would give them a ZERO if I could. I had an appointment, which I scheduled on line, and selected the option that I would be waiting for the car, and I got there and they said it would be three hours before they could look at it. This was to check a battery that was under warranty. My lease is up next week, and I was going to renew the lease, but I want nothing to ever do with Subaru again. They were not will to work with me at all and proved to me that customers mean nothing to them. I escalated it to the service manager and he was ZERO help. Don't go there! I am going to turn my car in tomorrow, which is a month early so I don't need to go there to get the battery replaced, and then do back in a month to turn it in.Service: Battery

Their appointment system is meaningless. I was given an 8:00 a.m appointment to have a check engibeclight "read." I actually dropped the car off at 7:00 a.m. I had NO information on my car until 3:30 in the afternoon, and all they were doing was reading out a check engine light. They wasted an entire day, and when I called during the day for updates my "service rep" was never available and did not return calls. I think I called four times throughout the day. They showed no respect for my time. I will not be back.

They do good work but seem to be having difficulty diagnosing my oil consumption issue, used an extra 10 quarts in 90k miles. Known service bulletin issue but somehow their "testing" doesn't show it. Maybe they'll discover it's real after the 100k warranty runs out? Hmmm.

I was actually at the Hyundai service counter. Alton took great care of me. Offered a rental car to replace my vehicle while it was being repaired. Other dealers wanted me to pay to leave it for the warranty repairs, but this dealer didn't. Thank you!

I brought my Subaru here for warranty service about a USB phone connection issue that essentially rendered the infotainment completely broken.After 2 visits and multiple (extremely rude on his part) conversations about the issue, our adviser did nothing but update software and blame our USB cord (of which I bought 5 BRAND NEW cords to no effect.) A 30 second Google informed me that the issue I was having is quite common, and the resolution is to replace the USB port. John (the adviser) refused to replace this part for some reason.After wasting hundreds of dollars on Ubers because I was without my car, I decided to take the car to Subaru Carlsbad. Subaru Carlsbad immediately recognized the problem and replaced the USB port. I went from having my phone disconnect from CarPlay multiple times daily to having 0 (ZERO) disconnects in over a month. Carlsbad also offered a free courtesy car, proactively advised me about recalls and washed my Subaru while it was in for service. DO NOT waste your time with Kearny Mesa Subaru Service.Service: Electrical repair

I made an appointment for 1040am, got there at 1020, they said they couldn t start service on it until 330. I protested and then they gave my attitude. Avoid this place, poor customer service.

Parking is very limited but staff is friendly. Service department is amazingly on time. The waiting room is clean and comfortable with socially distant seating and lots of easily accessible plugs. Refreshments available while you wait.

A bit overbooked. 2 1/2 hours for an oil change. Everyone is nice. Waiting is outside due to COVID. Plenty of places to eat close by. Can also walk to some shopping, like Big 5 and Dixieline.

Not a fan. Customer service not their specialty until called on behaviors and professionalism. Went in for warrantee work and returned twice for issues not completed or caused from poor workmanship. Loaner cars not available without cost and ride share only for customers in a specific area. Will take my business to another service center in future.

We get our Subaru serviced at this dealership, they are quick, professional, and most of all honest. They don't push for unnecessary services and their prices are very reasonable. I would recommend to any and all Subaru owners.

I called for a quote on getting the clutch done on my 04 subaru impreza, I had to leave a message and no one ever called me back. Won't be calling again.
