This was my first car buying experience at a dealership, and I'm SO glad I chose this location! Ruben was our absolutely amazing sales representative, and he made the whole process extremely easy and painless. He was super thorough, and made sure I knew exactly what I was buying and exactly what I was getting for my money. After helping my husband figure out his trade in value, he helped us both leave with reliable cars that we wanted, not just needed. I'm super grateful to Ruben, the financial manager Stephen, and the entire team. Thanks guys!

Just wanted to share my experience. I am very happy with my Kia Forte. It suits me well and allows me to get around where I need to easily and comfortably.My experience at the dealership to purchase the car was not that great. The salesmen were nice and helpful with getting me a decent deal on payments, etc. Finance was more difficult to deal with and took a lot of time. After that, we were left hanging. No updates on how long we would have to wait to do the paperwork process. It ended up being a 2 hour process altogether because the printers were down and they were backed up with the paperwork. We then had to rush through everything. Once I got to my vehicle, the security alarm could not be released over to me and we had to wait once again. I was offered a tank of gas for the inconvenience. We were at the dealership for 6 hours.Here's the thing, dealerships can do all of this and be "sorry for the wait," but you know when my payments are due there is no sorry for the wait allowed. I think everything should have been handled better (like they should have covered my first car payment) and my parents and I should not have had to be at the dealership that long. I won't be referring anyone either, because a referral payout is also a tank of gas. LOL

I purchased my dream car in this location.I don't usually do reviews, but I would like to share at least my experience with those looking to buy a new and highly affordable vehicle. My husband and I entered the dealership, not expecting to go home with a new vehicle. I needed a vehicle right away due to my car being totaled by an uninsured driver. The sales rep, Mr. Lance Champion, walked us through everything and helped us solidify our decision. I still can't believe I purchased my vehicle with such affordable monthly payments. Mr. Lance definitely helped us a lot, and I couldn't be more grateful to him and the rest of his team for working with us to meet our affordability. I would recommend this dealership to those who are in need of a good and affordable vehicle.

My husband and I leased a new Kia here yesterday and it was overall a wonderful experience.We started with Tim in sales and he was fantastic. He was thorough and patient providing us all the options we wanted to see and answering all the questions we had. He was so friendly, respectful and not pushy at all (like most assume they'll experience when getting a car).We were next helped by Kelly in finance and she was an absolute gem. She was so detail oriented and made what should be a tedious process so pain free and efficient. She reviewed everything in terms that were easy to understand and made us clearly know what we were signing off on.Lastly we were helped by Rick to review all the features inside the car before finishing up. He was quick yet elaborate to cover every little thing we may be curious about and also took the time to answer whatever final questions we had.Buying/leasing a car is always assumed to be a painful dragged out experience but this was NOT the case at Kearny Mesa Kia. Every single person we interacted with was so great and customer service was a 10/10.Thank you all for everything you did!! :)

Service department was efficient and friendly, especially Bryan. I really appreciate the offer to wash my car. Very convenient to use Lyft as a ride to and from dealership, although I wish there was a way to tip drivers.

We leased a car for the first time because we recently moved to America and just started building our credit history. After facing several credit rejections, the Kia staff went above and beyond, ensuring that by the evening, we drove away in a brand-new car. It was an amazing experience! The managers were incredibly kind, encouraging when they saw we were losing hope, and celebrated with us when everything worked out! We are very happy and grateful to all the managers who took care of us.

This place is your typical dealership, leased a car last week from this place and there was a large dent in the passenger side panel. They assured me someone would contact me to set up a time to get it fixed. I've called three times and and left messages. No one has called me back. I asked 3 times to take a vehicle recovery system off the car's price and when I got to finance it was still on the contract. The finance person told me she would call me the next day to discuss the rate on the car. No call. Just called to speak to a manager and told someone of my concerns before I wrote this review and was trasfered to a phone that no one answered and then the system hung up on me. The customer service in this place is horrible. Buyers beware.

The only reason I m reviewing this is because of how bad my experience was. I brought my car in for a unique issue which I wasn t expecting to get answers to and at the end of the day I didn t. But I also brought it in for a 5k service. When I asked to get the service done they said it would happen after the diagnostic check for my vehicle.Come 4 days later they ran multiple diagnostics sadly to no avail but it is what it is on that aspect. When I asked about the service I was told I checked with our technicians and had them check again but your car is good to go. It doesn t need any servicing. To which I thought was odd because I had my car serviced last around 8k miles and now I m sitting at 13k. However they are the experts they know best.I get back into my car and I look at my service sticker. Low and behold the service sticker now says next service at 26k miles while I m still sitting just a tad below 14kMy math isn t too bad to know that going from 8k to 26k without a service is not a good idea. 18k service interval is not a thing.So I go back to my normal service center and call them and they even said that they did me wrong and I m currently getting it serviced.My service rep was pretty good those that. But he s the only reason this even has a star to begin with.

Great experience! No pressure from Modar, our sales rep, just lots of help and information about the cars that I test drove. Financing with Kelly was so much faster and easier than I expected from a car sale! Finally Richard was very thorough and helpful in setting up the new features in the car. I would definitely recommend the Kearny Mesa team!

Don't Go Buy a Car at Kearny Mesa Ford/Kia unless you have your lawyer with you to look over the purchase documents.My husband & I are senior citizens, and we bought a used car from Anthony Lacey on 3/29/24. Our terms for the purchase were $500 off the advertised price and no add-ons. Anthony agreed & quoted an out-the-door price, which we foolishly accepted, assuming our terms were reflected, since he said they were.There was another salesperson who kept stopping by, wanting to show us how a security system worked, which confused us. We asked Anthony multiple times about this & he assured us that there was no security system on the car and it was not included in our purchase.We signed a multitude of purchase documents with Manny Lopez in Finance, and as we chatted about the challenges and demands of his job, Manny mentioned that they are constantly getting sued by customers. Why didn't we run then, right? After writing our check and collecting the flashdrive of our documents, Anthony walked us out to the car, & yes, I asked him 1 more time about the security system and his last words were that we did not purchase one.When I downloaded the documents later, I found that the discount on the price was $300 less than promised, and a $595 security system was indeed an ADD ON to the purchase. We also discovered we were not given a receipt for our payment. Boy were we getting a bad feeling.Anthony did not respond to our emails asking for help to resolve these errors. We went back in to KMF the next day, Anthony sent us to Steve Slewa in Finance to get a copy of receipt for payment. Regarding the security system, Steve referred us to Sara, who handles Due Bills in the Service Dept. Sara was great, she listened & understood our concerns. She took the car back to a service tech to check if there was a security system on the car... there was not. Sara knew we never intended to purchase this, saw that we had paid for it on our purchase docs, and suggested we get our $ back. Too bad Anthony was nowhere to be found.On 4/3/24, I wrote an email to the manager, Adam Leighton and Anthony, again expressing our disappointment and requested a $595 refund. We noted that goodwill on the dealership's part would go a long way, since otherwise we were satisfied with the purchase, and would like to share positively about our experience on social media, and with family, friends, coworkers, etc.Within 3 hours Manny Lopez called my husband and said how important their reputation as a great dealership was, and would refund us $395 as a compromise on the security system "confusion." My husband accepted the resolution.Guess what! Here we are 2 weeks later, and we have never received a refund, or a response to our inquiry as to the status of that refund. Are you as surprised as we are, weren't you expecting them to be good on their word?!DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH a Purchase from Kearny Mesa Ford/Kia. Was this just special treatment for senior citizens? I doubt it, I think their deception and dishonesty is delivered on an equal opportunity basis.Thanks for listening, please spread the word, and save yourselves some money and grief!

Don Smith at Kearny Mesa Kia was great! Personable, interested but not forceful in his approach. I believe he and the team were fair in their appraisal and trade in and purchase of my vehicle and made it a smooth and easy process. Steven Slewa was also great regarding financing!

It s one of the most professional dealerships in the area and I m grateful for the support I received from Ruben Leon in purchasing my truck, 2021 Ram 1500 Big Horn. There were little to no hassles or hidden fees like other shady car salesmen. I was at ease when purchasing my truck and didn t have to worry if I was gonna get ripped off on a used truck. Thanks!

My sales consultant was very nice and answered all my questions. The finance person was also kind and efficient. I didn't feel pressured at any point, or talked down too. They had a large selection of the model I was looking at, and after the color I wanted was sold before I returned, they found another one close by. And after the purchase, I have returned once to get some help on the many features of this brand new EV. Something that may happen again!

After a visit at another Kia dealership, I was able to locate the exact vehicle I was interested in at Kearny Mesa Kia.Met with Steven Slewa and he brought the Soul GT to the customer parking area for a test drive and a comprehensive discussion of the features. Whew.. so many wonderful safety items and great sound system, and the tech... wow. I was amazed at the form and function of this Soul GT.It was exactly what I wanted. And the price point was well within my budget. Actually, much less than the 'other dealership'. We adjourned to Steven's office to discuss the particulars. The process was seamless and frankly without the usual stress of purchasing a vehicle. This is the 2nd Soul I have purchased from Kearny Mesa Kia, and I am one happy customer. Now, my mission is to acquaint myself with the Soul's new features. Thanks Kearny Mesa Kia and Steven Slewa for making me a two time purchaser!

I have been to many Kia Service Centers in San Diego County, and this Kia has the best service department by far. Not only do they respect your time when scheduling, but they also are genuinely courteous and care about the best options for you and your car. They don't try and sell you anything you don't need and are honest about things that will need attention down the line. Everyone wore a friendly smile and even joked with me, including the gentleman who delivered my car. The waiting room had all the amenities including a fancy coffee/hot-coco machine. You could easily fall asleep in their chairs they were so comfortable. I actually look forward to my next visit! Thank YOU!

The Low Inverter Fluid alert would appear on the dash intermittently. Service Advisor Joe Rivera figured it was related to recall SA512 and had everything taken care of under warranty. Joe was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and respectful at all times. He responded to my messages immediately. Joe is the best.

My husband and I had a great experience purchasing our new family car with Andrew last week. However there were a few things that impacted our experience. We were in a rush but were told it would be a fast process which i knew it wasn t. I wish that honesty and transparency was communicated instead of making us feel like we could be done in 90 minutes instead of 3-4 hours. Also the car died TWICE within a week of purchasing so i do not think they checked the battery before we pulled off the lot. I ve purchased cars before (both new and used) and the battery dying within days of purchase is not okay. While i love the car and appreciate everyone s support, it just feels like it could have been a better experience overall.

Once upon a time people cared.... 3 yrs ago when I leased my Kia Forte, Shawn Collins took excellent care of me. He was kind, considerate, professional and thorough from the moment I walked onto the lot until I was delivered my new car at work a couple days later. If he didn't care, I sure wouldn't have known because he made me feel my business was deeply appreciated. Fast-forward to Feb 11, 2024, my salesman, who will remain nameless because I'm not trying to be vindictive, but lets just say he did what he had to do to make the sale, but when I asked for a return call as I was having car problems, he was nowhere to be found, nor did he even follow up with me per my request. Anyway, I bought a used car that wasn't a KIA and the very next day I was having car problems. I called the dealership and as one would expect, I got the total run-around. My calls were bounced around so much, I can't even recall how many DIFFERENT people I spoke to, but I couldn't get any answers from anyone and service made it perfectly clear that my problem was not their problem, as did everyone else that I spoke to. I finally got help with my vehicle issue from a wonderful man at AutoZone, no thanks to the folks at KIA. Needless to say I'm done with KIA and I would not recommend Kearny Mesa KIA to anyone for anything.

We had a pleasant experience at Kearny Mesa Kia. Pulled in at 0730 and got assistance right away. Met with the service writer within a minute and was headed home in no time. The communication was plenty for the work they were doing and the extra things that they recommended. The car was done in the time they identified. I was very happy with the service.

A smaller sized dealership (which I like), and my experience thus far has been very positive. They have been attentive, no-pressure, and customer-focused. After purchasing my new Kia, I went back for a lesson on the "tech" in my car and had a particularly nice experience with Tach Durdiev. He's very kind, genuine, and cares very much about customer feelings and opinions. I'm new to Kia, but feel great about Kearny Mesa Kia thus far!

I brought my 2021 Kia Rio in for a scheduled maintenance check on Saturday, January 20th. I purchased this car new from here and paid for the Kia Care Premium plan so that I could have the peace of mind that my car would be well taken care of. After two and a half hours, my car was "ready". I was given an invoice with a checklist of all the services that were "completed" and I drove home. The next day, Sunday, I realized that the wiper fluid was empty. There are three different areas on the receipt which indicated that this service had been completed.1. "Checked and topped off under hood fluid levels. (cover page)2. Window washer fluid level (color coded checklist on back page)3. Windshield washer spray or wiper operation (color coded checklist on back page)My concern is that I was presented with a receipt and checklist of services rendered and yet they clearly were not. I have to wonder what else has been presented as completed, when in fact it was not. What if this had been brake fluid or something more vital than wiper fluid? Does Kia really care about customer safety?I tried calling the service department on Monday. The lines were all left ringing, and all of the mailboxes were full. So I called the receptionist who "patched me through" to the service department- only to have the same thing happen and then get disconnected. I called the receptionist back, and she said she would send a direct message to my service advisor. I never got a call back.On Tuesday, I emailed the Service Department Manager. It has been one week and I have not heard anything from him. I know he is aware of the situation because my service advisor told me when I returned on Saturday.On Thursday, I emailed my service advisor and documented my concerns. I never heard back from him until....Saturday, I brought my car back in so that the service that should have been completed was completed (I hope) and to talk to the manager and advisor in person. The manager was off on Saturday. The service advisor said he was aware of my concerns and that he had informed his manager earlier in the week.I gave the service advisor a printout of my original receipt- high-lighting the three spots where things that were not completed were checked off- I also gave him printout of the two emails I had sent. He said he would pass everything on to his manager on Monday.It is almost close of business on Tuesday and I still have not heard from the Service Manager. I paid for the premium maintenance plan purposefully so that I would not have to worry about the routine maintenance checks and so that I could keep a steady record of all work being performed by my "trusted" Kia dealer. I feel duped. It is illegal to charge a customer for work completed if the work is not completed. I question the integrity of the department/dealer if it is common practice to present customers with invoices that are not accurate or honest. I bought a new car and wanted to stick with the same dealer for service so that I would not have to deal with any disreputable dealers or service centers. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.The one star rating is because I do like my car. Up until this experience, I was satisfied with the dealer and the service. This experience makes me wonder how much Kia cares about customer service and satisfaction.

Absolutely the best experience! I Called before arriving at the store and spoke with Modar who was able to do a quick search and confirm that the store had a few options of exactly the car I was looking for. Once I arrived at the store I was greeted by several employees with a hello and welcome. Modar made the car buying process seamless and easy. He was polite, friendly, helpful and actively listened to what I was asking. I will absolutely send my friends to ONLY this Kia dealership. Buying a car is a big purchase and this dealership has qualified employees to give you the best experience. Thank you!

Kia in Kearny Mesa is one of the best dealerships I have been to, with the added bonus of their service team being attentive and friendly. Mike D, our Advisor, is amazing.
