I recently visited Just Smog to get my 2007 Honda Accord smog checked. Overall, my experience was positive. The service was fast and efficient, and I was pleased with the friendly customer service that I received from the staff.One thing that stood out to me was that I did not have to maneuver my car around a back alley area and my car was ready to drive as soon as it was finished being serviced. This was a nice touch, as it made the experience more convenient.The waiting area was also comfortable. There were chairs available, and it was easy to see out onto the street. This helped to make the time pass quickly while I was waiting for my car to be serviced.However, I did find the price to be a bit on the higher side. It cost me $59 to get my car smog checked, which was more than I expected to pay. If you fail the test, you only get $15 off your next one. Additionally, the parking lot at Just Smog was quite small, which meant that I had to circle around a few times before finding a spot to park.Overall, I would recommend Just Smog. While the price may be a bit higher than some other smog certification centers, the fast and friendly service make it a good choice for many drivers.Service: Smog certification

We needed a smog check before repainting my father's 1987 Toyota Pickup. He's been going to this "Test Only" STAR SMOG station for nearly 15 years for ALL his other vehicles. It is a family owned husband and wife shop. The husband will always tell what you need to do if it doesn't pass. We took it to a mechanic and did what the owner said and this 35 year old truck is street legal yet again. We were able to paint it too, to it's original lustre. My dad is in heaven! Thank you for always taking care of our dad! When other test only STAR SMOG stations say they cannot do it give this place a try

I took my 2002 Xterra but I had my "Engine service soon" light on and I couldn't pass, but the guys instead of telling me that I need to check the system and charge me $150 like the other guy I took the car to, he fixed the light and asked me to drive it for a few days and come back, and when I did, my car passed!! Honestly that makes people come back is more important than money for these guys! I absolutely recommend them!!

They go above and beyond. The car I brought in had some body damage resulting from an accident for which I have yet to have repaired. The driver side door made a horrendous noise when trying to open it wide enough to get in. They made it so that the door wasn't rubbing up against the driver side panel so it opens smoothly once more. Something small but very much appreciated.

I have been going here for 14 years. It's the best. It took only 15 or 20 minutes, it was fast. The cost is 50$ , it's a good price.This place is on Mission Gorge Road , close the the interstate 8 FWY and next to the Iowa Farms Market. I wouldn't take my car to any other place no matter if I lived in Escondido.

Pros:Usually pretty fast and great place to get your smog done if you're absolutely sure you'll pass.Cons:If there's ever been a hint of a check engine light issue or if your battery has been unplugged or dead during the last tank of gas, don't go here. The computer will automatically fail you before they even run the rest of the test and they'll charge you full price. Most other places I've been to won't charge you at all if it fails at that point. Oh goody, I get $15 off my next retest within 30 days.

Best in town. Going here for years. If car doesn't pass he can tell me exactly what needs to be fixed. I fix it, bring back for retest car passes! Every time over 10 years multiple cars.

2011 Mazda CX-7. $50 total for smog with certificate. Vietnamese lady at front desk was extra nice. Can't really say that about many businesses now days. I could have gone to a $10 cheaper place down the street but this one was closer. I was only customer here. They took my car within 30 seconds, and I was gone within 15 minutes. That's fast!

I ve been going to this place forever not anymore! BEWARE!! I got my car smog today and it failed. Apparently they no longer do free re-tests? They CHARGED ME 50 bucks For a FAIL! Said I can come back and they'll take 15.00 off the NEXT ONE???? Don't go there if you may FAIL. I just paid 50 bucks for ABSOLUTELY nothing... I would have gone somewhere different if I knew they changed THAT I feel scammed !!! Wasted money :-( PLENTY of places that are pass or retest free! ) They just lost 5 cars from our house.

Yes, I needed a smog check done on Christmas Eve because I was running out of time to get my car registration renewal done. Started by going to the place I've been using for years and was distressed to find it appeared to be out of business.Got on my phone and queried Google for other smog check facilities. The nearest appeared to be Just Smog. Pulled up the listing, found the latest Google and Yelp reviews were very complementary, so called the business and confirmed they were open.Found the spot and it appeared to be part of other small auto related businesses. The waiting room is pretty bare bones, but that was no problem. I had a feeling I may have been their first customer of the day. My car was driven to the testing bay immediately, and they were done and had me on my way within 15 minutes, if that.I'll definitely plan to again.

I was a costumer of this place for ten + plus yr. I WILL NEVER come back. You don t accuse costumers because they ask you how to fix my car.I ve never been treated like such buy a place that I ve been a customer for years. I wish there was some legal action or something I could take. There s no reason to be so aberrantly rude to a customer asking how to fix his vehicle

Great couple smog needed new carb numbers he helped us and got the numbers passed. Great work. Updated 2022. Nope! I had an SRT that was not set. It was the evaporator system. I called the BAR and they said they do not enforce this SRT incompletion and smog is okay to pass. The owner said he did not want a point on his smog license for passing car. Again called BAR they said this is not true. Not going there again.

Parking is really tight here but the service is great. Total was $59 for the smog check.

This place has prices on its wall but when you go to get a smog they double the price you can try to explain that you have the car listed in the price wall but no they say a different much higher price i have a small Nissan pickup 4 cliy the price for it on the wall says 41.95 plus 8 for certificate that would mean about 49.95 no she the wife (no education) MONEY MONGERS wants $65.00 its bullshit.
