I ve been taking my fleet here for the last six years, and every time I deliver my vehicles here, whether there are problems with the alternator or something significant with the engine, Jose, and his team have always been highly professional and very reliable, it s highly crucial for me to have the reliability because the majority of my vehicles are intended for Work, they truly value their work. He also specializes in multiple vehicles; I d highly recommend this business and its exceptional services, thank you very much.

Jarvis is the absolute best place to take your car if you need anything repaired. They are honest people, reliable, and work fast. Their prices are always fair and you can trust they will be honest about everything. My husband and I have been taking our cars to Jarvis for over 3 years now and we won't go anywhere else. We always deal with Monica and she's the best! Thank you for the great service always!!

Jose was honest, kind and understanding. I m 26 and just moved by myself to San Diego from a Midwest city looking to buy a car. I called ahead to ask if Jose could check out a possible car I was interested in purchasing from a salvage car company. I was running late and he still held a spot for me on a Saturday. He allowed me to talk to him privately, away from the salesman, to tell me about his concerns about the car (thankfully weren t very many concerns). I paid $120 for him to check out the car which was 100% worth it to me. He s an honest and reliable mechanic which is rare to find. I would recommend him to anyone. Him and his team are worth every penny.

Jarvis is awesome! I had a issues with my Volvo XC70 and got quotes of $1332 and $1454. Jose said he could get it done for $1000. After diagnosing the problem, and realizing it wasnt what we thought it was, I ended up paying $377 AND getting A/C done as well. Any mechanic couldve gouged me knowing I expected to pay $1k or more. If you have car trouble, go here!!!

I brought my transmission out of my van to them to be rebuilt on a Friday. Jose told me they were real busy and it would be a week before I got it back. It was ready Tuesday evening, 3 days early The shop was clean,, the mechanics are friendly, Jose gave me an estimate and stuck to it even though he replaced a bunch of parts that was not anticipated. Monica in the office was a treat to deal with. I'm very pleased. Although Jose has a large shop with quite a few employees between him and Monica they run a tight ship..... (Whatever that means)

I have never had any issues or problems with them. Their prices are fair, and the work gets done right the first time. For me, my first time their I had impaled my car with a piece of rebar. It destroyed my radiator and condensing unit. I had to work the next day. I got their at 3pm and they had me out the door in three hours. I have not had trouble with those parts since. So to recap, great shop, good honest people, highly recommend.

I have used Jarvis Auto for years. They have always been honest, reasonable and fair. They replaced the turbo assembly on my ecoboost FORD for a better price than the dealer. In San Diego on a family road trip and the Subaru Outback starts making a noise that keeps getting worse. We still had 800 miles to go, so I had to take it somewhere to get it checked out. What to do? Check Google, of course!There were glowing reviews of Jose and his shop, so I called and spoke with Julia who was super nice and helpful. I dropped it off at 9 am the next day. They diagnosed it for free, replaced a bad belt, checked the charging system, and had it done by noon.Car ran sweet the whole way home, no noise, and no fears of breaking down in the desert! I got lucky finding Jose and his shop - I just wish he had a shop in my town!This is my first Google review. My experience with Jarvis was so good, that I just HAD to share and support the other great reviews of this shop! Car is still running like brand new, by the way.

I was new to the area and worried about getting ripped off, but Jarvis ended up exceeding all of my expectations. Jose, the owner was phenomenal to work with, the service was honest, the prices were fair, and Jose even fixed a few other small problems with my car free of charge, because clearly customer service is his first priority. 5 stars for this place, I would definitely go back!

If you are looking for an honest repair shop this is your place!! They are amazing! We take all of our cars here when we need work. They are friendly and they don't charge you any "extra fees" like other places (Pep Boys you know who you are!) I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else! Monica, you are the best!

I registered with Google just so I could leave this review. I have been to many mechanic's shops and dealers over the years and after visiting Jarvis for the first time yesterday, I will never bring any of my cars anywhere else - nor will I allow any of my friends or family to go anywhere else from now on. I needed a new clutch, and not only did Jose take care of me at a price significantly cheaper than the 6 other places I called, but he also replaced two broken transmission mounts that they noticed while he was down there without charging me any labor (as he didn't want to charge me extra when he didn't quote me for it). To top things off, they also noticed that my oil filter was expired, so he changed the oil and put in a new filter on his dime (even using synthetic oil, which is more expensive) - just to earn my business. To top everything off, I dropped the car off at 8:30am, and he had it done by 2:00pm - and let me tell you, most shops would take at least a couple days to replace the clutch, if not all day. The car runs great, the clutch feels brand new, and I couldn't be happier. You will not go wrong with Jose and Jarvis Auto - I would guarantee that.

Honest, KNOWLEDGEABLE! Highly recommended! Took my Caddy in for a clutch replacement, by far the best pricing for the 5 places I inquired. Monica called me back even after I got her with my voicemail, Jose and the crew are more than capable, give these guys a shot at your business, they are worth it.

My 2008 Chevy Express had a charging system issue, and I'd had it for less than 1 week. Of course the car lot in LA that I bought it from refused to do anything about it, and not knowing any mechanics in the area, I decided to go with one with good reviews. I had already tested the alternator and the battery and decided that something was wrong with the wiring. I have 5 kids and a wife and so I desperately needed my van up and running asap.Withing 15 minutes of walking in, Jose was determined to take care of me and his wonderful neice was especially nice and gave my son a bottle of water as we were waiting. Within a half hour Jose came to me, said that he knew that the problem was the wiring to the alternator and he would have it fixed and have me out the door for $150.Definitely 5* for professionalism, courtesy of his staff, and the speed at which Jose got me back on the road again in our family's van. I will not be taking any of my vehicles anywhere else. Jarvis Auto has earned my business for the long haul and anytime I have a vehicle issue, I'm going straight back to them!!! Thank you Jose and neice, and God bless!!!

They stick to their quotes and have competitive prices; but most importantly they are fair. Plan on bringing my car here for as long as I can. I got my car worked on 2 months ago and I have been meaning to write a good review. Shops like this need to stay in business and remain successful.

Honest mechanic and people. I was having problems with my transmission and brought my Jetta in to diagnose what was wrong with it. I was told that there was nothing wrong with transmission unless under certain conditions, and that there was nothing they could do unless wait for the problem to turn into something that was actually fixable.I am a young woman who knows next to nothing about cars so I was apprehensive about taking it in to be seen, assuming that I would be charged excessively or talked into buying something that wasn't necessary. I was happy to learn that that was not the case with these people. They spent over an hour looking at it, explained to me their recommendations, and sent me on my way without charging me anything. I just moved to San Diego and am happy to have come across this mechanic--now I know where I am going for all my oil changes and other maintenance!

I thought i had a problem with my suspension because it would make a popping sound when i turned at slow speeds. I had already had my ball joints replaced and thought it was time to do it again. They diagnosed it for free and then also checked up on an engine light. They found that there were no problems except a loose cover under my truck, they tightened it for free and didnt charge me anything for their service. I can say now that i will be doing all my auto business with Jarvis.

I ve been going to Jarvis for over 10 years , I ve as much as had other Automobile repair shops quote me thousands of dollars in auto repairs , then someone recommended Jose at Jarvis , you will never find anyone more honest or kind ! My so called $ 4,000 auto repair ended up costing me only $900.00 , Jarvis Is the only audio repair shop I d trust . Thanks Jose !!!!

my sons car had overheated and I was panicked about a possible cracked block. Had gone to the Honda dealership who made my suspicion ions even worse they said one of there mechanics could take the car off of my hands for cheap We came here they filled my radiator with good coolant at no charge and are going to replace the cracked radiator this week. Very Helpful Thank You

Jose is a Master Mechanic with special Certification as a Master Cadillac Mechanic for over twenty-five years. His is one of the few shops on the West Coast authorized to install special OEM equipment on North-star engines. He completely remedied the renown problem that plagues North-star engines and did so with my 1996 Eldorado ETC, My car is now a rocket ship. Moreover, he is a man of his word...a quality not only hard to find in the general population but almost unheard of among auto mechanics. I drive over a hundred miles to have Jarvis Auto Repair service my Cadillac and would drive twice the distance if I had to. He's that worth it.

Great service! Jose was knowledgeable and super helpful. I highly recommend this shop. Had my transmission rebuilt in my 2004 Sierra 1500. Also Juliette's customer service was top notch.

I had a clicking noise on my pick up so I pulled in there so they could take a look at it. They told me that one of my tires was loose and that they would not charge me anything & took care of it. but I took care of the worker that worked on my truck...Great shop & service...many thanks

I was having car troubles and i had to drive to LA to visit family in a few days i was worried my car would shut down and just wanted to make sure my car would make it. There is nothing scarier then being stranded. they gave my car good check up and an oil change i made it to la and appreciate this auto shops knowledge

my niece took her vehicle there the bill was 625.00 , they said they chemically cleaned the catalytic converter and then smogged the car , they try and make it sound like they did some high tech repair , i wished my niece would have told me about her problem before taking it to these charlatans , when they say they chemically cleaned the catalytic converter all it means is they poured into gas tank an additive and run the vehicle up and down the freeway until the chemical burns off the carbon, the chemical only costs around 20.00 , this shop will rip you off if you don t have any kind of knowledge , DISGUSTING

July 2020 Did complete reseal of my Northstar engine after 22 months began leaking oil Jose , tells me bring it in so I look at it will NEVER NEVER GO BACK TO RIP OFF SHOP .DISHONEST PAID FOR COMPLETE RESEAL DID HALF SEAL HOPE JOSE, CHOKES ON MONIES I PAID HIM.
