Drove my car in to have it diagnosed. Key word drove. Had to have it towed back to my home. When I got home I checked under the and found several wires not connected and one connector broken. They did give me a free loaner car while they screwed mine up. Manager was a nice guy but you can't drive nice.

Careless and dishonest, use to get my vehicles serviced here up until a year ago when the new front desk associate replaced Julio. Dishonest about service recommendations.

Dishonest1?Brought in my pick-up for service, Ramon said the front axle was leaking. Request he repack? but he said its not advisable. So, he replace it for almost $500. Drove home, but truck smell fuel/gas. I thought it would go away. 2-days later hooked-up my camper to go camping, still smells gas, found out at the campground it was spewing gas. Dont understand how we smell gas, and Honest1 dont?I had been sending my cars and truck to Honest1 since the 1st day it opened. Julio has been a trusted manager, but now I have to look somewhere else to bring my cars & truck to.

I paid for a Smog Check with Honest . I quickly discovered they were completely opposite of their name. They completed my Smog Check and let me know I should drive 50 miles for the check to clear. It did not. They told me to drive more. I went up to 70 miles, it didn t pass. I came back and you guessed it! Was asked to drive more. After over 300 miles I still did not pass. The owner told me that it sometimes takes up to 900 MILES to pass what the what!!! After spending $1200 in repairs and services I had to go to a new place because honest couldn t get it done. Never using them again and I recommend you don t either.

Something weird was happening to my SUV come to find out it was only my battery, That needed to be replaced. I was at work when a tow truck had to tow my vehicle to their location and they took care of me, which was awesome.Thanks again to honest1 they were completely "honest" with me according to what I know and they pretty much, Fit me in last min. which I am totally grateful for b/c it was also a holiday weekend.You guys Rock Service: Auto battery replacement

I've used the shop for a few years with good results but now they refuse to install AC Delco tire pressure sensors for me. Super confused because a month ago I paid them $100 to install a set of off-brand that ended up not working out which is my fault and so I purchased factory replacement tire pressure sensors and they say they won't install them. So I guess I'll find another shop to take my business to. All I wanted to do is pay them for the labor to swap out the sensors with zero warranty expectation but I guess they don't need my money. I am unclear why selling labor is so difficult. No warranty and no expectations. I have found other shops in the neighborhood that are not allergic to money and common sense. Didn't even offer to sell me sensors! ZERO salesmanship too.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

Very nice personnel and quick service! We called this morning with a problem needing a prompt fix and they said "come in after 1" which we did and they had us back on the road within half an hour. Thank you!

I was very impressed with the honesty of this company. Being a widow and knowing very little about cars they only did the work that was necessary and didn't tell me I needed work done that wasn't necessary. I took my Honda in to get a few issues fixed. From Drop off to pick up I was very impressed with the level of care and professionalism I received from Honest 1. They kept me informed during the diagnostic and repair process and communicated with me what they were doing and why. I am very pleased with the work they did.

Had to share this experience....a simple job of replacing an alternator on a 1990's vehicle...here's the quote i received...wait for it.....$600.00!!!!! what a joke. After charging me $75 for a diagnostic, (even though I tested the alternator myself and TOLD THEM it was bad,) I demanded my car back and left. Ordered the part on-line (about $100.00) removed the alternator and installed the new one in 45 minutes....do yourself a favor and avoid this shop.Service: Engine repair

I called in for an oil change and John was able to make me an appointment for the next day. The facility is very nice with a rest area that has AC and drinks/snacks while you wait for the service to be done. Oil change took less than an hour, which was great since last time I got an oil change somewhere else it took all day before I got my car back. My car drove very smoothly afterwards so I know it was good oil that they used. Overall it was a great experience and the price was right!

Went here because they took my GWC warranty. I told them what was wrong with my AC and it took them a whole day to tell me that it was working. I had to actually come in and show the mechanic that it does not turn on with any setting except high. Then they had my car for another day and never called me. I called them the next day and the lady told me that my window was broken and I was very frustrated and confused because she did not know how to do her job. I went was very upset and went to go get my car and they made me pay for a diagnostic that is covered under my warranty in order for me to take my car back. Would NEVER recommend to anyone! WASTED MY TIME and is definitely not HONEST auto. They are a complete joke. Tried to give 0 stars and it wouldn t let me post.Service: Air conditioning

DO.NOT.TAKE.YOUR.VEHICLE.HERE.Pay close attention to the previous 1 star reviews. I took my 2011 Volkswagen CC this week because my check engine light came on. This is a local auto repair shop & I wanted to support a local business. They called me to tell me several codes came up & sent me over their recommendations on fixing it. I use my car for work so did not have a lot of time to make a decision. I dropped it off the same day & went with their recommendations. I received a call at 5:30 to pick it up. I came back to pick it up, was hastily created by Julio, their "Service Supervisor/Receptionist". I asked how everything went & he said "Good." I asked if there were notes in regards to how it went, he said I would get the paperwork after I paid. I thought, okay, weird, but I just want my car back. Less than 24 hours later, my check engine light came back on. I drove right back to the shop. I was again, "greeted" by Julio and he said there was one code they didn't do anything for and it could be it. I asked why no one mentioned this to me yesterday, and he gave a condescending response. I gave him my keys & had to rush back to work. I sent an email to the General Manager/Owner, John, letting him know of my frustration & that I would like to speak with him directly when picking up my vehicle later that day. I get a call a few hours later & he tells me it is my intake manifold & will be over $700. I spoke with the General Manager/Owner, John, told them they clearly misdiagnosed the issue & I will absolutely not be leaving my car in their hands. John couldn't have been more unprofessional & offered zero resolution. He H told me "Well then you can come pick up your car." Unbelieveable. After all of this, I went back to re-read the original paperwork & realize that they charged me FOR A DIFFERENT PART than was actually replaced. The service says they replaced the crankshaft positioning SENSOR (a part that is $50-$70) and they charged me for a crankshaft vent valve separator (a $221 part). I am irate. I've disputed the charges with my credit card company & now have to have my car completely checked to ensure any of the other work they did was HONEST. This company is neither HONEST or qualified for what they advertise. I will do my part to ensure none of my neighbors & friends use this business.

I been taking my cars to Honest-1 auto care for years. Julio and team is very efficient and knowledgeable regarding diagnostic for vehicles. I know sometimes we don t want bad news but it s normal wear and tear that needs to be fixed. Every time I had something fixed my cars runs and rides a lot better from before. I would rate them a 5 star mechanic shop !Thanks,James Bencomo

If you've been mistreated by other mechanics, you should definitely consider giving Honest1 a chance. I have been sending friends over to Julio and he has never failed to go above and beyond for anyone I've recommended to check out this shop. It's refreshing to be spoken to with utmost transparency and being given a detailed breakdown of everything going on with your car, without pushy sales tactics. The place has plenty of parking and a nice lounge area if you opt to wait for your car.

Originally I had taken my Dodge Avenger to Carl Burger Dodge because my air bag light was on. After 5 days there, I was told they need to order a part to fix the problem. I was told it could take a week or a month.I decided to take my car to take my car to Honest-1 for a second opinion.The manager, Julio was very helpful. They even gave me a ride home after dropping off my car. Julio got back to me within 24 hrs. He said I only needed a wire repaired & the part Carl Burger ordered was not necessary. He said the work would only take 2-3 hours. I picked up my fixed car the next day.I will take all my future business to Honest-1.Thank you Julio!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I needed an oil change for my car. I had a coupon for Honest 1. I thought I would give it a try. I had the oil changed, tires rotated, and a new air filter replook aced for the inside cabin. I was very pleased with the results. Honest 1 always comes through! Just got done with my 100k service, and they found some issues that were not part of the service. Julio called and explained everything to me, and helped me prioritize what was urgent, and what I could wait on for the next paycheck. And they had everything done that day. Nice, personable, and, like their name, honest.

I have an old car and feel 100% confident that my mechanic will be honest with me about what s wrong and whether he thinks it s time to donate it and buy a new one. I used a coupon for an oil change and tire rotation. Rather than trying to up-sell me to synthetic oil--which has happened all too often recently--Julio checked his database and confirmed that my 5.7L Chrysler Hemi will run fine on semi-synthetic, which was included in the coupon.This shop is very convenient to my home, and checking in went very quickly. I was not in a hurry, but as far as I know the work was done in a timely manner.I'm giving them four stars instead of five because one one incident. After I picked the car up, I called Julio to confirm that they had reset the oil change indicator. He stated that this is done "automatically". But because I'm a suspicious old SOB, I checked for myself. In fact, it had not been reset; so I took before and after photos and went ahead and did this.I tried to reach Julio several times to discuss this, including leaving a voicemail and calling the number several times. If I had been able to reach Julio and discuss this, and Julio had taken ownership of the error and told me how it'd be resolved in the future, I would still have given them a five star rating. But since I was unable to contact them for this purpose, I'm down-rating them to four stars.

I went online made an appointment using their tool, it said someone would get back to me....didn't happen so I called, received an appointment for 10am on a Thursday, showed up and was told it would be a while, so what was the point of the apppointment. Needed to have AC check, found coupon online with said it was for the evaluation service, that the coupon MUST be presented, when I go there I was basically told the coupon didn't do that much, however the women at the counter took the coupon. Which lead me to believe I would NOT be charged for the assessment fee, to my surprise, I was charged $138. Because this was a surprise for my daughter's birthday, which I informed her, everything all together cost me nearly $300. I was given a ride home, advised that I needed to be picked up when ready, was told no problem, received a call that the serpentine belt needed to be replaced, fine my child lives in LA and needs her AC working. Received a call from a gentleman telling me what needed to be done and when it would be ready 1:45pmI reminded the gentlemen I would need a ride he said ok, some would call was ready, and when they were on the way to pick me up, got the call the car was ready. NEVER go to call someone was coming to pick me up. Took Uber over picked up my car walked in, no apology, no comment about why no one ever called. Lesson learned Firestone is within walking distance from my apt. I say this to the owners if you don't want to do business with people that look like me, too much melanin in my skin, post a sign that says Whites or Caucasian's only. I tried to support a local SMALL business. With attitudes like yours yeah, I wish you all the best. Now that you've shown me who you are I believe it. The male owner made it very clear when it came time to give me a ride home how didn't want to be near me.I wish you much continued success with your business. Or and you online appointment setting tool would work better if it told p potential customers if an appointment is available or not, and not have to wait for a phone call that may never come. OH AND WE LIVE IN THE AGE OF SOCIAL MEDIA!!! HELLO THIS IS YOUR WAKE UP CALL. I WILL BE SURE TO TELL MY MINORITY FRIENDS TO AVOID YOU LIKE COVID 19. Bate and switch is not cool for a small business.

My rv became disabled and was towed to Honest 1 car care. They diagnosed a broken fuel line. A part had to be fabricated as MBZ and Dodge said the part was no longer produced. It s up and running thanks to Honest 1.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

When I first used Honest 1 , I'll have to admit I was a bit leary as there was a running joke on an old sitcom about an Honest John who was anything but. After several visits and having work done on a few cars, I can say my fears were unfounded. We've had great service from Julio and the rest of the crew. The pricing was fair and the work has lasted (with only one exception that was fixed with a little fine tuning). Clean, bright and comfortable waiting area. courtesy shuttle service available.

I ve been taking my cars here for the last four years. I mostly have dealt with Julio. I truly think they live up to their name. I have never felt pressured on up sales or like I was being fed bs just to make an extra buck. Julio has been great explaining what fixes can wait, and what needs done right away. I m always told prices up front and when it comes to pay the bill the price listed is what I was told. I don t know how they compare price wise to other places because I ve only taken my cars here. If they are more expensive they re worth it.

Julio & the team took the anxiety & frustration out of my situation with my car. Julio was very thorough & detailed in his explanation to me about what my car needed without making me feel pressured to do more than I had planned on doing that day. I would highly recommend Honest 1 Auto Care! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Highly recommend this place! I took my SUV in for an oil change and not only was it fast and affordable, they also let me know about a rat's nest in my air filter and made a recommendation on a device to install to help keep them from coming back. I will definitely be going back!

They gave me a good price on an oil change and a tire rotation. However, I was quoted an hour and the job took almost two. They forgot to reprogram my vehicle, so the check engine light was on. Took even more time to have that done too.

I trust Honest One for my whole family. John and Julio are very honest and they employ great mechanics. The drop-off process is simple and they don t gouge customers or embellish their work hours etc. I hate to leave this review in thatthey are so good it may make them too busyService: TiresService: Tires

Honest 1 Auto Care in San Carlos was able to provide last minute service to my daughter s car while she was out of town. I was impressed that the waiting area was clean and comfortable, and the shop was so well organized. I won t hesitate to use them again.
