Truly amazing shop! Brenda is such a gem and undoubtedly has the best interests of the customers at heart. Ben is so extremely knowledgeable and diligent. It s so nice to know I have a trustworthy place to go for any mechanical maintenance ! A++++ service every time. Highly recommend. Thank you Brenda and Ben :)

These folks are ROCK STARSI drive a Porsche Cayenne, not because I am interested in economic transportation. I drive a Porsche Cayenne because I m a busy professional with a young family and I get 25 minutes at the beginning and end of each day that are just for me, and by golly, I m going to make them count!That s why I am such a fan of German Motors and Imports. #TherapyDriving while spiritually fulfilling does require regular maintenance done by professionals who UNDERSTAND German sports cars and who LOVE German sports cars.Brenda and her team offer this type of expert, interested and personalized services. These cars can be moody, no doubt, and some parts can only be ordered from Germany. The team understand the ins and outs of Porsche repair that bring me peace of mind. Their suggestions are always on point.Throughout every service Brenda and her team provide regular updates by text and phone call. I was even in a pinch once a couple counties away and they arranged for a tow back to San Diego. You cannot beat that level of engagement and interest.As a North PB resident, the location is ideal and services are always completed in as timely a manner as possible.A high end sports car can be a rocky relationship, think of the folks at German Motors and Imports as your relationship counselors.I ll be using these folks forever. After Getting high quotes from other shops to rebuild the engine on my Mercedes 190 Cosworth due to lack of power. I always felt that it was not an engine issue as I know those cars they live long but are very sensitive. Calling Dan at German Motors was the best thing I did. After explaining to him the symptoms over the phone he suspected that it is not the engine. I gave it a shot and drove 1.5 hours to his shop. Few weeks later, car was ready with a fraction of the initial estimate. A Fuel delivery failure and some sensors needed replacement. They did a great job. I test drove the car and I was impressed. Thank you Dan for your honesty and your great team. No wonders you have a line of loyal clients.

My girl takes her out here every time because they slowly and surely diagnose and fix the problems on an older vehicle. They don't want to go in and tear everything apart up front. I take their time and they diagnose the stuff correctly. Everybody's friendly there and they're a little pricey but it's definitely worth it once you actually get the work done. We've had a few free services just because it was really nothing wrong.

Very fair and honest. I took my 2009 X5 in after experiencing some brief overheating episodes. They test drove it and the car did not throw a code.Dan was fully transparent and told me I can t tell you what it is, and I m not going to waste your time or money trying to fix it until I know for sure that we can fix it. I was originally quoted for $140 for that, but he ended up charging me $0. Most mechanics would not do this.Next week, the issue happened again so I took it back in. This time it did throw a code, faulty water pump and thermostat, and Dan quoted me at $1725 for parts and labor. They had the car back to me in less than 5 days and the bill was $1715, right where he said it would be.Definitely recommend coming here because they won t over charge you or try to rip you off, the service they do is quick and effective and they stand by their quotes.

I called German Motors and Imports and explained that a rodent had chewed through my wiper fluid supply hose and god knows what else and that I was concerned about heading out on the road without an inspection. Dan told me that they were busy but that I also should just bring it for a look. In an hour, they had diagnosed the problem and found that the rodent had also chewed through a wire that controls the heater. Both were repaired w/o having to order expensive OEM parts (my choice) and for less than $150. Great service and I will 100% be back for my next scheduled service. BY FAR the best place to have work done for AUDI in SD. My A6 had unexpected electrical issues one weekend & after a $400 diagnostic test at the dealership in Miramar, I was sent an estimated bill for over $5000. Brought my car in to German Motor for a second opinion and thank christ because not only did they tell me half the work wasn't needed but their cost for the work was less than $1200.Dan & Brenda are amazing to work & I wont send my car anywhere else moving forward

I have been chasing an issue for a few months and had a few people look at my car ( 89 Merc ) couldnt find the issue.These guys found the issue and fixed it in a day.Highly recommend for classic german cars.Service: General repairs & maintenance

In my opinion, the best car repair shop in San Diego. They don't work on all cars, but the cars they do work on, they do right. Customer for life.

I trust these guys cause they often have crazy-nice old school Benzs and BMWs in front. I've been to them a couple times for maintenance on my Volkswagen Passat and they're always accommodating and efficient.
