I definitely want to Thank Brandon Weast ! I had been shopping around for a Genesis for a year and a half, like really looking. I always got anxious when actually going to the dealerships because I didn t want to be sold or pitched too, I really just wanted information on the car, see if it felt comfortable driving & make sure it was the car I had wanted all these years. I made a quick appointment to see the car and Brandon had greeted me on the lot when I was looking around. I expressed pretty quickly my intentions and he never once made me feel uncomfortable or pressured. HE IS SO KNOWLEDGEABLE! Seriously, The attention to detail is so important and he really knows his stuff. Very professional, very kind, and very personable. I ended up buying the car and I absolutely love it. Honestly yes, the car was fabulous and I loved it. But his knowledge on the car and why it was a great car plus his easy going attitude is what made me decide to buy. I ve worked in sales for over 15 years and I respect the knowledge he has as well as the customer service he offered. Also Summer in finance was awesome too, after being so nervous waiting to be approved, she was so happy and friendly. All in all, it was a great experience. I Wasn t fully confident I was going to get the car that day. But I m so glad I did and it was with the team that helped me. Thanks again Brandon & Summer !

We were able to reach a very reasonable deal quickly and the staff was very friendly and straightforward. I've bought and sold a lot of vehicles and this dealership experience was up there in terms of ease and speed of process. Shout out to Ryan, Sam, and Summer for the good conversations and transparency. Regarding the building itself for a brand seeking luxury customers, I would recommend more customer space, parking, and some amenities like quality complimentary coffee and workspace for laptops etc.

In terms of servicing this Genesis dealership is superb. Hats off to Carlos for his courtesy and prompt responsiveness. I had to take my GV60 in for a recall and was given a GV60 loaner while my rear axel recall was being fixed. He even was able to replace my wheel lug bolts that stripped. A short week later, I then also requested a fix for a rattle in the horn that was driving me crazy every time I hit bumps and Carlos and team was able to get it resolved in a timely manner. I also received a free Electrified GV70 loaner as well. Thank you Carlos for your awesome service. I never tried their concierge service though as my home is probably too far for pick up and drop off.

Update: their response below willfully misrepresents my transaction and makes blatant falsehoods.It's telling that they're doubling down on this when they could just take their lumps on my review and feedback, learn from it, and make constructive changes.These are fundamentally dishonest people. And they keep doubling down on lies. If you needed any more reasons to avoid this dealer, their pettiness and unprofessionalism here should be enough to seal the deal.Original review:Avoid this dealer if you can. I bought a used car here. The car itself was fine. But the sales staff made the buying process frustrating and difficult at nearly every opportunity.They are broadly unresponsive and do not act as though they are interested in actually selling cars. I'll spare the gory details, but I had to contact the GM to spur any action out of the staff. And I was offering to pay the full asking price!That, and their body shop is mediocre at best - they agreed to repaint a bumper as a condition of the sale. The completed bumper came back with sags in the paint, lots of orange peel, overspray on other unpainted portions of the bumper. The color match was okay, a bit darker than the rest of the car, but not awful. I will still need to rework the bumper after all this.I've bought a lot of cars over the years. Dealing with this staff reinforced why I avoid dealers. You should definitely avoid Genesis of Kearny Mesa if you can.

Genesis automobiles are very well made very luxurious and lexus-like quality. Unfortunately the dealer is nowhere near that. Horrible customer service. Unresponsive, brought my car in for service ask them to check several things they didn't. Something as simple as after the oil change they forgot to reset the oil reminder. Definitely going to try another dealer hopefully better

Two stars for the service department. They never have courtesy cars, despite the website saying they do. More importantly, my car was under warranty and I wanted a wheel alignment. The service manager told me it wasn't covered, so I decided against it at time. Now that my warranty has expired, I read the fine print and find out the alignment was actually covered. Bad on me for not knowing the fine print, but also bad on the service manager for either being dishonest or unknowledgeable.Update: After speaking with Christiana my earlier visit was not in error and they would not honor my warranty. Be careful with this Genesis. Updated to one star for shady practices.

I first provided a glowing review seven months ago after my first service experience at Genesis of Kearny Mesa but since then, have had a series of frustrating experiences. With a few different issues on my vehicle, this service team has not confirmed and followed up with me any time regarding parts availability and appointments I've set. I have had to chase them for answers every single time, including taking my car in after calling to confirm they had the right part (which they didn t), leading to so much wasted time and energy.I ve had to call this service department about ten times for these issues and the only two times they've actually proactively contacted me was to leave voicemails telling me I'd be receiving a survey and hoping I'd rate them well. After 2.5 months since the last time my car was in, I'm still waiting to hear back about a part they need to replace for the car's features to be fully functional. I hope others don't have similar poor service experiences. This is not the experience I'd expect with a brand like Genesis.

Worst Genesis store I have ever been in. I was there two Saturdays ago to inquire about getting a new Genesis. They had one salesman available who was busy and a receptionist who is more interested in her nails done our customers. I have previously purchased five genesis products. This store is the old Hyundai store. I waited for a half hour and got no service. The amenities are terrible and available parking is limited. Prior to me going to visit Genesis store I received the phone call soliciting me to come to the store about end of my lease term. There was absolutely no follow up. If you re going to buy a Genesis which I think are great cars, go somewhere else.

I highly recommend not going to this dealership! Terrible customer service. They over commit and under deliver. Escondido Genesis is a much better choice!!!

This company cares more about their online reviews than actual customer service. FYI everyone: be sure to read all the 1-star reviews of this company and STAY AWAY. The company's responses to all the 1-star reviews are petty, and are likely written by an immature person with thin skin.

Had our GV70 serviced in March after having a check engine light on since Sept. Was a bad fuel injector. Called once every month to see if part was in stock and we either received no answer or was not in stock. After waiting 6 months we decided to check around and sure enough, the warehouse that stores all the parts for genesis had over 110 in stock. Took our vehicle to Palm Springs to accomplish the service and in 2 days it was done. They even gave us a courtesy vehicle that was over 100k.

I tried to purchase a gv70 electrified from this dealer and I m only 500 miles away in a neighboring state . They won t sell me the vehicle because the paperwork is too hard . And their corporate office isn t set up What a joke. It s 2023!

Brandon and Sam provided a positive purchase experience at this dealership. Other dealers were quoting much higher monthly payments. I would highly recommend this brand and dealership.

Tried to sell us a car at $2.5k more than they advertised online. Shady and improper tactics.Saw the car online at a competitive price, went to the garage to test drive and check it out. Keen, we were ready to do a deal. That was until they tried to sell it at more than it was online! When I pointed this out they acted like they were doing me a favour saying they'd 'honour' the price I'd seen?!They were clearly unhappy at being called out on this. On the quote they had the car info and model wrong but insisting this was at the fault of their third party procured website manager..They then tried to insist a GPS tracker was a non negotiable extra as $1,000. Are you kidding? Junk fees.Something didn't feel right and coupled with their trying to inflate the price of the car, I left.I got the impression they couldn't have cared less. Not the type of outlet you want to buy an expensive car from - if this is their attitude before you buy a car, can you imagine what it would be like if you bought and had any issues?

The Genesis service center here is fantastic. Gilbert was awesome, even showed me his personal car. They cleaned my car and didn't BS me at all. Would recommend getting a Genesis to anyone who is in the market for a luxury car.

Second attempt at using the service department here. The first round was rough about a year ago. This time around it was seamless. Gilbert was awesome. I didn't have to stress about my vehicle. Thanks. Keep up the improvement.

The worse customer service ever! We had to ask if they could show us the car they guy unlocked it and that's it he just stood there, asked if we could test drive it and said no!! Only if you are going to buy it! He was very rude. So next day called to make an appointment at the one in Santa Monica, they get a 10+ we came home happy with a New 2023 genesis! Best service ever!!

I have been watching the GV70s for sometime, so my husband and I went to "look" at the inventory. Parham and Sam are so good at what they do, we ended up leaving with (2) vehicles!!!! We traded in our Hyundai's!!! I got a GV70 and my husband got the GV80. We are so happy with the service, our purchases, the product, the brand, the everything!!!!! Thank you Genesis of Kearny Mesa!!! I can't leave my guy Jay out, he is "THE" finance man!!!! Oh, and I don't know her name, but the lady that works the front desk too. I was unsure about the Barossa Burgundy Matte color, but you helped me make up my mind and I am so glad I listened to you!!! Keep up the good work!!! THANK YOU!!!

Jeff was actually the best service rep I have ever dealt with. Very engaged and considerate. His professionalism and sharp understanding of my needs made my visit a real pleasurable experience. Bringing your car in for maintenance is normally not a pleasant time but in this case Jeff made it remarkable.

Ouch. Stopped by this location earlier today to look at the GV80. They advertise on their website that they don't mark up over MSRP. However, they add useless paint sealant and an alarm system that easily adds $2000 over the MSRP. Go up to Orange County or LA for more honest Genesis dealers.

Very friendly and accommodating staff! Have you ever been to a busy restaurant and felt that the server has forgotten about you? This is not the case here. Brittany was my service advisor and consistently handles my car servicing from beginning to end while making sure I'm kept updated on the progress and without me having to go looking for someone to tell me what's going on with my car. I will always come here to service my Genesis for sure!

I ve called and left voice messages twice, sent multiple emails and still haven t received a call back about scheduling my G80 maintenance. I don t know what s going on with this location but every other genesis dealership I ve worked with has never been this unprofessional.

Hi Eric.I looks that I mis understand the service advisor at that time of service. I understood Gilbert told me that they changed the oil but used the old oil filter, but according to the service report that due to some reason Genesis didn't provide to me shows the oil filter has been replaced with new one.

I had the best experience so far in servicing my car, they came to my place, left me a loaner and took my car to service. The next day, they returned my serviced car and took the loaner back from a different location (I was at work at that time). Truly a luxury experience. Highly recommended.

Scheduling an appointment for maintenance is such a pain. No one on the Genesis side is answering the call after Hyundai/Subaru side tries transferring me there.

I had a worst car buying experience from this dealership.A sales person that I was working with was great, he was trying to help me buy a car that I wanted. However, sales manager and the general manager were terrible. Both the phone conversation and in-person conversation with sales manager and the General manager went horrible. it seems as they did not want to sell a car nor wanted to listen. I will not recommend Kearny Mesa Genesis to my friends or to anyone. Most definitely, I will never buy a car from the Kearny Mesa Genesis.

Just had my first maintenance on our 2022 GV80. Gilbert s service was outstanding and we love are new SUV! We will return for further services.
