My sister in law recommended this location to me when she got her oil change. I didn t get the chance to interact with any of the employees but my husband did and he said they were all very polite and professional. They did however call me to tell me my car was done and they were very polite. When I picked up my car she was in the same exact condition I left her in. They took great care of my baby. So yes, I will be coming back to this location exclusively.

I Was very pleased with the customer service that Joshua provided . He handled my auto service for tires very well. I was amazed in how knowledgeable he was and very efficient he is also a great leader very respectful and patient. I am glad that he was able to get my issue resolved and me and my sister were safe on the road going back home to Imperial Valley. THANK YOU JOSHUA!!

Joshua and Victor were super helpful, they explained what my car needed and got the work completed as fast as they could. It still took several hours because parts had to be ordered but they kept me well updated. Car is running great again!

First of all, I shouldn t have to call your store from the check in counter just to get somebody up there.Second, I made an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation, and alignment and specifically said the car was pulling right. Was told service would take about 1.5 hours. So I leave, come back and get my car. I notice the car is still pulling right. This prompted me to check my tires to see if they were even rotated (I had mud on my back right wheel) and to my surprise I see that muddy wheel still in the same spot. So, I am not only having to bring my car BACK in during a weekend to get these services done that I paid for, but I am also told it ll be now a 2+ hour wait time even with an appointment.Absolutely ridiculous, after they fix this mistake I won t be back here and I suggest you don t come here either. If you do, check that everything was done before you drive off.

During the lockdown I got a lifetime alignment from this shop. They did 1 alignment and I didn't really drive the car much since I was working from home and everything was shut down. I put about 1,000 miles on my car in a year and the alignment was so bad it completely ate up my tires. I came in to get a refund because I would never want to get an alignment from any Firestone ever again. The tech asked me why I didn't come get an alignment every 3 months. He said the roads are so bad in San Diego that you have to get an alignment every 3 months to preserve your tires. I drove the car 1000 miles in a year. That would be an alignment every 250 miles. They expect me to get an alignment more often than I fill up on gas in order to maintain my tires?!?!?!

Got some tires from here a bit expensive but they lasted a while. They were the Firestone brand that they sell. Decent service forsure

Made an appointment for a quick oil change. Prices were reasonable! I think I paid something like $25. They seemed quite busy and still made time to get my car in.

These guys were great! They were respectful and treated all of their customers equally. They did their best to get me the best deal and were honest that I did not need to replace my back tires. Most places would try to make the sale. They had to work extra because my sensors on my car were broken but they communicated often and offered deals along the way. As a female, I did not feel like they looked down on me or dismissed me which was a breath of fresh air. Thank you!

Outstanding services. Tony Moreno helped me tremendously by explaining what I needed, the situation of my warranty and did so professionally and super friendly. My tire is easily fixable and will not cost me anything. The guys in the office made me feel comfortable and I'm grateful to making a stressful situation much less stressful. Thank you to all!

I wish if I could give them 0 star, they took my money without fixing anything.Today I brought my car for wheel bearing noise, they told me that I need to replace the front right wheel bearing, i waited 5 hours at the lobby for it to get it diagnosed and replaced.After getting my car I noticed that the noise didn't go away and still the same.They just want you to keep going back to charge you for things that they will never fix.They are one of the worst mechanics in town.

Hindsight is 20/20. I took my car in to get the timing belt and spark plugs replaced back in December, as well as some other general maintenance. Paid $2,400. The car drove fine for 3 months, then developed a knocking sound. I took it back to them, they discovered that the bolt on the timing belt tensioner had snapped. They had my car for two weeks while they removed and replaced the bolt, and they even threw on a new belt just for good measure, free of charge.This only lasted for another month, until the same knock developed, and I took it back for them to discover the bolt had snapped again. They've had my car for 10 weeks now. Every week it was "We just need to do this", "We need to do this properly, otherwise we'd ruin the engine" "We're waiting on this part", "We're waiting for the tech to approve it" "you'll get your car back tomorrow or the day after". Every week. Mind you, I was having to call every week for these updates. On the 8th week I got someone who nonchalantly told me "you need a new engine". And after a week of calling them trying to get more details, they inform me that it's going to cost me $4,500 to replace the engine. I've heard nothing from the shop since then. I've filed complaints with corporate, I've heard nothing. It's been 10 weeks.They suggested maintenance. They performed maintenance. I'm now without a car.If anybody sees an old Blue Hyundai Tucson in the bay, let this serve as your warning.Update: It was 12 weeks that they had my car. Apparently there was never any talk that I needed an engine, and they were just waiting on parts. They gave it back after 12 weeks, and within a month it developed a knocking sound again. Took it to a different firestone, and... "You need a new engine".Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I went in for an alignment today. They told me my front right tire has a tilt, causing uneven wear, so I should replace at least one, preferably two or all four tires. I opted for one. After they told me it's all done, I paid and drove off, I noticed that I wasn't given the alignment report so I went back. Upon my request, they gave me this one. When I was about to drive off again, I noticed that the front right tire caster is still off. I asked them why, they told me to come back again tomorrow because they don't have the tool today. So they couldn't or didn't do what I came in for, didn't bother telling me that either upfront or when I returned to pick up, just wasted 3 hrs of my time to sell me tires? And they told me I should come back for alignments every 3-4 months?! Everything they do or say simply lack credibility.

I ve been trusting Firestone for my auto services for at least 10 years but today was my final visit. I called to set an appointment for an oil change and to have my transmission checked. An employee by the name of Alex checked me in and warned me that I may need a need transmission/car based on our conversation of how my car was running. 2 hours later at pick up, I m told that they didn t even look at it and the mechanic was gone for the day. This was after myself and 2 other customers waited for nearly 10 minutes for the guy to get off his cell phone in the back. The options I was given were to 1) get a call tomorrow after they ve talked to the mechanic or 2) leave my car overnight. Needless to say I took my chances and left. I can t speak for all locations, but Murphy Canyon has the poorest customer service/professionalism experience I ve ever experienced.

The manager Alex is a super nice and friendly guy he will tell it too you upfront and be nice about it. His mechanic Fernando is top notch, one time he even waited up after hours to make sure I had my car. Super nice move and he was cool about it. The average person would be furious staying after hours on a Saturday... That was also just one car my dad takes his car here for any needs and they are honest about everything.-Mark S

I called for tires, was told they didn t have them but they d arrive the next day. So I said cool, I ll drop the car off and you guys can do your thing, he asked for my info and even commented I d been there before. I went to have the car dropped off this morning and they had no record of the convo or the other of the tires. Thanks Tony!

Service is slow. They try to sell you a bee set of tires when you ve got 6/32 of an inch of tread left and then try to convince you the sale ending means you could never get a price that good again.Then you compare the price and realize it s 30% higher than Bridgestone and Costco charge for the same or better tires.Won t be coming back.

I went to put air in my tires and they didn't even tell me I had a real bad tire it was a scary experience The guy didn't seem to know what he was doing Friendly but not Knowledgeable.

GIOVANIE was amazing he offered top notch customer service, he made sure I was out by the time I had to get my son from daycare. Even though they originally did not have the tires I wanted he got them to the shop same day and I was able to get all of my tired replaced all before 5pm. This was my first time going to firestone for my tires and because of my experience at the Murphy Canyon location I will continue to go to Firestone. My tires feel great and I feel so much safer driving on the road with my new firestone tires. Its very close to my house and very convenient.

I want to believe that I wasn't screwed over in order to receive a higher commission. However, that's how I feel after coming in for an oil change, New wipers, alignment and receiving a $341 bill in exchange. At least the seats are comfy after dropping off the car at 1230 & still waiting for it at 1545. The brake pads are what busted the cost I assume... Don't think I'll become a repeat customer though. I'm late for work.

Our car rental s oil light turned on (5% oil remaining) our last day in San Diego. The oil filter needed to be ordered, but luckily Fernando found an oil filter for the car. This happened about one hour before they were supposed to close, but Fernando understood our frustration and did everything he could to help us out. Thank you so much!! We appreciate you going out of your way to help us.

I did not get an oil change here, so this review is more for the customer service than anything else. But it took the guy 45 minutes with my car to figure out that he couldnt do the oil change unless I bought this expensive part. 500 dollars. The guy was also rude about my job, saying "you couldnt get a better one?" When he asked where Id worked and how long Id worked there. I went to another place that did my oil change, fast and easy without the 500 dollar part. I understand that it is their job to upsell you parts, but maybe don't do it with a 500 dollar part, after you're rude about my line of work. And he tried to tell me that I had a flat tire(another mechanic told me that I did not) Dont waste your time or money. Skip this place.

Fernando is an exceptional technician. I bought a used car back in January...have had trouble with the tire pressure. Dealership kept saying "just needs air". He found the tire had a "plug" on sidewall close to stem...bad Safety Issue! Yikes! The mechanics here are very Honest, and Alex, the Mgr is always helpful at front desk. Thank you !!! Firestone, you have excellent service here at Murphy Cyn location

My sales guy does not work at the store anymore and immediately, the first time I brought it in for service, they tried to sell me a product they had already sold me about 3 months prior. They still owe me a free oil change, but after I paid for synthetic last time, and they used conventional, I think I will let them keep it. Nothing here is ever posted for pricing or clear. They will try to tell you your car is unsafe to drive when nothing is wrong with it. You have been warned.

Went in with a friend for them to get new tires the other day. Tire prices seemed competitive. The upsell tactics trying to get us to purchase new air filter and in cabin filter ($29.99 & $24.99 DISCOUNTED price.) An alignment @$89.99 (was told how desperately it needed to be done.. funny... car drives/tracks perfect.) Coolant PM exchange $89.99. Power steering "something" $89.99. Passenger CV Axle leak $378 (discounted) Rear shocks leak $435... there were other items suggested. The listed ones were the highlighted scare tactic items URGED for my friend to authorize repair/replacement.No thank you, just the tires today. And shockingly, my mechanic boyfriend just looked over these immediate problems... and found nothing wrong. But did find minor seepage from a head gasket.

I needed my oil change ASAP on a Saturday morning. I made an appointment with another place and after waiting 30mins for the manchain to show up I left and went over to Firestone. They where very quick to get me. I didn t even explain what had happen just that I needed to be out the door before 11:00am. They where very nice and helpful in getting me out ASAP. I can t say how much that meant to me.
