I ask if they worked on transmission and both he and his wife said yes. I told them I went through flood waters two days ago. And that my D light was blinking while the N & 2 light stayed lite up. I show them I already had a code reader done that said P0705 Transmission Range Swich. He said we have to do our own diagnostic test at $180.02. I said go ahead. They parked my van in the shop while they worked on two other car. An hour later he said what code did you get. We compared papers and they were the same code P0705. He than told me I had to take it to an transmission shop because they didn't work on transmissions there. Five days later the problem corrected itself. It just got wet going through deep waters. I'll never go to Firestone again. I don't like being lied to. So I feel I paid $180.02 for nothing.

Went earlier today to get some new tires put on my car.The good:Tires are amazing and I got a good deal. Staff was very friendly. The bad:When they were done and I got back to my car, I immediately noticed there was a dent inside where the door closes into. That was NOT there before. My lease is almost up as well so that's a huge bummer. You can only see it when you open the door but still...Unfortunately, I did this in the middle of my work day and had to rush back to my salon for a client. I didn't have time to go in and complain and try to figure out why there was dent INSIDE of my car- when they were working on the outside of it. Hopefully the mechanics will be more mindful with future customers. On second thought, I guess I didn't actually get a great deal after all, especially since i have to get the dent fixed before I trade the car in.

This place is terrible. For hertz rentals. But I also watched two people walk in and not be helped and one walk out. They refuse to call hertz if you have a unapproved voucher and hertz says they can call. And then after waiting for a whole day on a unapproved voucher you have to wait an hour to have one wheel put on the car. Prideful staff that s not willing to listen and thinks they know everything , not open to suggestions given by rental company.

Took a van there, they found the screw in the ture and changed out my wipers. Great job. The service specialist Israel is top notch with customer service and politeness. Management material!

I was in a sad place after a pothole irreparably damaged my tire. Fernando at the Midway Dr. location in San Diego was very helpful and kind. He also saw that another tire was damaged and needed to be replaced. He ordered the tires I needed and the work was done as quoted the next day.All in all a great experience.

Great customer service! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. While waiting I see how they happily help walk-ins with a smile at the end of their long day.

They refused to honor their warranty on labor. 2 years ago I brought in 4 brand new aluminum rims and 4 new Pirelli tires to have them mounted and balanced. The wheels were stored in my garage pending the completion of a car restoration and when I moved them to install them on the car two of the large double sided tape lead weights fell off and were simply laying on the garage floor. Apparently, the installer did not clean the surface of the brand new wheels and the tape failed to hold the weights. The wheels were never installed on the car. The sales manager told me that because the tires were not purchased at Firestone they would not honor any warranty for the installation or balancing. Despite my instance that the tires had nothing to do with the quality of Firestone s balancing weight installation he refused to accept responsibility and correct the failure. At the time of installation they also charged me for tire scrap although I did not have any old tires. If a company is not willing to fix their relatively small failures, I would not expect them to behave any better with a larger problem. I will never again consider patronizing a Firestone store.

Initially i was really frustrated and left one start because i couldn't reach anyone. The rep I reached the next day was slighty fustrating but I did go to the shop still and they were better in person and the staff that day did a good job on my car and provided good service so i adjusted my review rating

Got 2 tires. Had Firestone tires on from when I bought the car. I was told that the valve stem shouldn't leak air like it does. I was also told that they would fix the valve stems for the 2 Firestone tires. It worked but I found out that it was an actual fix. They both leak again. Way overpriced and under quality work. Don't live in San Diego anymore so there is no way it is going to get fixed. Probably a good thing as their fixes aren't actual fixes. I guess I will just go to Big O where they will actually fix the problem. Major disappointment!!!Just went to discount tire 7/3/2023, turns out the valve stems on the back tires that I previously paid for at Firestone were not installed correctly. The guy pushed the valve stem in and air came out. I can't catch a break with this horrible company. DO NOT USE THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY! THEY ALLEGEDLY FIXED THAT PROBLEM WITH MY FRONT TIRES WHICH LEAD ME TO GO TO A REPUTABLE COMPANY.

Great team of people and Arturo took of every detail to replace the battery that needed to be ordered.Even signed up for a Firestone card and won a free oil today and got an extra 20% off!Keep up the good work! I popped the blue ballon in the picture and a free oil change fell out of it!

I don't enjoy giving poor ratings. It's much more enjoyable sharing positive experiences and rewarding those who earn good service and professionalism. And, I'm not going to tell you not to use this business. But I want to share my experience with all of you so you can make your own decision. I've used this shop at this location before with very positive results in product and service.I called on Wednesday afternoon to ask if I could bring a tire in to be repaired that I had picked up two nails in and did an emergency plug repair on my own to make the vehicle operable. They replied "sure" we have an opening tomorrow at 1:00 PM. I replied "sure I'll take it"! Click! They just hung up. Nobody gave me details about the repair, cost, procedure, what type of vehicle, or asked what my phone number was, or even my name. Nothing. Just hung up. I thought that to be strange, and did not give me much consumer confidence. Are they going to know who I am when I arrive, and for what? I'm a repeat customer.I showed up at the store at precisely 1:00 PM. Explained I spoke to someone (?) yesterday on the phone, and had an appointment, and what I needed. They informed me they could not patch a tire that had been temporarily plugged. That would have been important information to know when I called the day before. But I understand. It's a litigious world and a lot of liability in the auto business. Unfortunately they did not have the tire in stock when I arrived for my appointment but would have one delivered. That was disappointing, for lack of a better term, its a common vehicle with common tire size. I was informed it'll be just an hour and a half. Well have a tire delivered from the Convoy store the manager told me. Seems like a long time for one new tire. Is it ok if I leave and come back in 45 minutes? No. Why? You'll lose your place in line. That's strange there was nobody waiting in the waiting room. And there was 3 technicians in the shop area. I wasn't happy about the wait but I was already there and wanted a safe tire. Convoy isn't that far away. I waited. And waited. And waited. It took over 2 hours for just the tire to arrive. Not an hour and a half. By the way, looking at the invoice the time "in" and time "out" are incorrect. I don't understand that. And would like an explanation. I arrived promptly at 1:00 PM for my appointment time and left at 3:20 PM. I'm sure they'll have an explanation for that. It would have been nice for the employee to gather my information during the appointment schedule phone call the day before and have the tire waiting for me or at least in the anticipatory queue. Is that an outreach on my part? Just a thought. This will be my last visit to the Firestone Midway store. I have no problems with their product. But my experience today was not good and could have been much better and comfortable with a little customer care and improved management. You can make your own decision.Service: Tires

Easy 5 stars. I went there 2 times for tires and on my last visit I forgot about my appointment and went there on the other day, they took my car and were able to squeeze it in between the other orders. They even did inspection on the basic stuff for free and their recommendations were pretty accurate ( I am ASE certified technician too) this location is not very close to my home but I prefer driving 15 min and drop my car off there ! Thank you guys

*** DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THE MIDWAY LOCATION OF ANY OTHER FIRESTONE LOCATION***I wish I could post this review w/o having to select any stars. I've been coming to Firestone for years now, going to different locations even when I'm outside San Diego County. I've had my car serviced, referred family & friends as well. I've never been so frustrated, ripped off and completely dismissed after visiting this location. My son's vehicle was overheating and had a little smoke. After speaking to Giovani and explaining the issues with the vehicle, Giovani advised this location is able to assist. My son towed his vehicle there. The first phone he gets is about the battery needing to be replaced. That's fine. The second phone call Giovani advises about running an electric test or check after my son explains AGAIN about the overheating. Third phone call, an hour before closing, Giovani gives the cost to replace the radiator and hoses. My son thanks him and advises he'll come pick up the vehicle. Since my son was paying for the battery "services" with my Firestone card, I had to accompany him. I spoke to Giovani myself and he repeated what needed to be repaired. I asked TWICE, "Is his vehicle ok to drive or should I tow it?" and before leaving, "Is his vehicle safe to drive?". Giovani replied "Yes" both times without hesitation. Further discussed other options he could do until he decided what to do with the vehicle. We left and his car overheated worse than the last time not even 5 mins after leaving, he almost wrecked trying to get out of traffic to pull over blinded by all the smoke from his engine. I'm not a mechanic, and if I pay you for a service then I'm trusting you to do your job to the best of your ability and be honest if not. As a mechanic who is more knowledgeable, why would you advise the car is both "safe" and "ok" to drive knowing that it's not? The branch manager, Arturo was extremely rude and unprofessional. He disregarded what I said and continued to repeat, "we're not liable". On top of that, I notice they actually gave me paperwork for another car which makes me question whether or not the fee I paid was actually for my son vehicle. Still no call back or any resolution. Bet if I was a man, I wouldn't be having this problem.Services: Electrical repair, Tires, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Brought my tire ( off the car) in for a flat repair, the said they would call when or if it could be done. Nobody ever called me... the next ( yes, an entire 8 hour day passed without any communication) day i finally called and they said they would look into it and call me, they did and said it couldn't be fixed. The manager tried explaining the situation but deflected and gave inaccurate info. A simple, no we can't would have been acceptable and understood, but no communication at all, and me having to call them ... bad service. As most others have mentioned, this isn't a good Firestone, go-to Fashion Valley, or really any other one for better customer service.P.s.... parking is a nightmare and almost impossible!!

Very happy with my first visit here! Very friendly staff with integrity. They helped get to the bottom of a rattling noise I had going on and helped document what I would need from the dealership for a different issue. Thank you!!

Don't go there. They are not professional and don't respect customers.I took an appointment only on a Sunday, but when I came to the shop, it is closed on Sunday!Thank you for make me waste my time!So I took another appointment by phone for an oil change and new tires installations and after I picked up my car and I cane back up, the oil light was ON and I couldn't lock the doors.I came back to firestone to explain that I have more problems after they touched it and they told me "we are not responsible".I had to find another place to fix the damage they did.

Scheduled 2:00pm appt for an oil change. They were backed up, which happens, but they did not say that when they checked me in. Some other customers complained about how long it was taking, which alerted me to the problem. When they hadn t even started my car after 45 minutes, I decided to cut my losses. Not likely I ll be back

I would never recommend this company to anyone. If you make an appt for a basic tire rotation they still ask you to drop it off and it will be 2 hours. I just had my tires rotated and upon pickup I said the tire is low. They said I just have to drive it and the light will go off. Now I call and they say come down we ll take a look right away. When arriving they say I don t have an appt and have to drop off so now I can t work maybe fixing it when I was here before would have been the honest thing to do.

Update:Noticed that my credit card billed price was higher than the price quoted on my receipt from Firestone. Filed a CC dispute and was able to get my money back - but any business that pulls this scam doesn't deserve your money! Stay away!!These guys will work with you, just be patient because you already know how absolutely insane Midway is. Not to mention parts and labor shortages, etc. with the auto industry.Parking lot could be a little better. Guy from the Smog place wanted to yell at me after I already gave my keys up.

I went in on a carwise appointment for oil change and tire rotation. The appointment stated the oil change was going to be around 60 dollars and the tire rotation was going to be 0 dollars. Halfway through I get a message from carwise saying my appointment was canceled. I asked the front desk about it and they said I made 3 appointments for the same thing and they canceled 2 of them. I did ask them to check other stuff for me while there and I'd pay for that too. But in the end I only ended up going with the oil change and tire rotation. The bill came out to 120 dollars. The oil change was a lot higher than from carwise and the tire rotation was 10 dollars instead. It felt like a scam. I paid it, I'm not hurting for money, but it was bad customer service to not honour the carwise price. I won't be using Firestone or carwise.

Great customer services, fair prices and trustworthy mechanics. I m very skeptical when it comes to maintenance because I am a mechanic myself; well helicopters. Same basics. These guys just did an awesome job servings both of my cars. The things they found on the inspections were legit and explained in detail. One of my cars needed the same repairs as last year when the previous company completed them. They evaluated my repair details report and honored the previous company s warranty. That s customer service! I didn t know the company changed but most of the mechanics are the same. I ve been going to them for a year and will continue. So glad I found a great and honest service.

Just went for an oil change at first but ended up getting some urgent matters taken care of in a expedited manner. I had never been to this location but my service advisor Arturo was very communicative and explained the issues and expenses to the dot. I felt that this location is knowledgeable, honest and customer oriented.

Avoid. Price with a credit for a tire that failed was still higher than new tires from a better chain. Took forever for a quote. Gave 2 vice 1 star because they were polite and will air up your tires for free.
