I was looking for a place to have my engine steam cleaned since I found that field mice used my car s engine as a warm place to stay and eat! Food & mice droppings everywhere. Family Auto on Miramar Road took my car in the middle of the day & got the job done! To top it off, the mechanic recommended a cabin filter change which made sense. I m glad they thought of that since I wouldn t know what I d be breathing in given what was in there. Work was thorough & on time, breathing better too! Thanks again for a job well done!

Needed two front tires, and spoke to David on the phone. He was phenomenal! Super fast, efficient and right to the point. I had my car in and out within two hours. Gil at the front desk is also amazing and always very knowledgeable.

They wanted to charge me 1,600 dollars for my powersteering pump repair. I wasn't interested in that service but I was interested in an alignment. They refused me any further service until the most expensive thing was resolved. So I opted to take my vehicle and they charged me 120 for literally doing nothing. Wouldn't recommend to my neighbor, nevermind my family.

I'm so glad that I found the FAS center to take care of my older 2002 Isuzu Rodeo. The staff & mechanics make me feel confident that they will provide the best car repairs to keep my vehicle safely on the road. This last visit showed me how they were willing to hustle to find the car parts needed to get me quickly back on the road. Big Kudos to my Family Auto Service Center on Miramar Rd.

This was probably one of my best experiences ever when dealing with an auto service. Customer service as soon as I walked in was A-1, I was given a fair price and they completed exactly what I asked for. Definitely making this my go to from now on even though its a little far from my home.P.s. the service guy went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied.

Good service. Reasonable prices.Not sure whether any of the original John's staff are left. No separate waiting/coffee room anymore. Focus seems to be on selling tires now--but they are still doing general mechanical work (oil changes, alignments, brake work, etc).Get there early if you want fast turnaround.

Phenomenal place. The owner is a fantastic human, You need him as a friend not just a mechanic. His staff is very knowledgeable and they will share info with you if you ask. As long as I live in Cali no one else will touch my car.

Showed up and they were quick to check in my car. They provided a detailed list of info on the car for $90. I had my radiator in the wrong position and my hose had a hole in it and they fixed it for about $1700. Called them several times and they always answered and were very willing to explain everything to me. Would recommend.

Brought my Camaro 2002 in for a potential leak in my a/c system, they were able to find the root cause and fix it at a reasonable price. The reason for the 5 stars is that when I experienced a couple of follow on issues, they expedited the trouble shooting and ensured my vehicle was properly diagnosed and fixed properly. Excellent service!

It was not professional at all? I did alignment that didn t last a month. Now I need to change new front tires which have not reached 20k miles in less than 2 months because they get very low from interior sides. Also, after I did the alignment and changed two front tires there the flat tire check signal is on since that. Moreover, a guy who might be the owner was pushing me too hard to open a credit card account that works for auto only, and exaggerating about the risk of some parts that need to be replaced with very expensive price.

Awesome The best everything!This was before 2021!So what happened:Now is only ........ !!!I have regularly changed the oil on all my cars. Once in 2020 I changed the oil and practically did not use this expensive car, I was parked more often. from the first couple of times I did not notice what was happening, but after a couple of months when the smoke from under the hood became strong, I opened the hood to see what was happening.I opened the plastic cover under hood, and found oil under it, in the grooves on the top of the engine in all possible places, around the oil filler cap.This oil was fresh, not from the engine, drips were visible from these open areas where I saw the oil. I removed all the oil with a paper towel, and rubbed everything around where there were drips as much as I could.But the problem persisted, the engine smoked and smelled of fired oil as soon as it got hotter, I had to do a lot to fix this problem. The 110 $ cabin filter does not help to simply change. When you wash the engine in an expensive car, no one can guarantee that the car and electronics will work normally.Why am I writing all this ?! I tried to make an appointment normally, and when I rescheduled this appointment because of my job, (I was physically there for this); I did not like the attitude, as I understand it, of the new owner of this business, he personally communicated with me at the front desk. It seemed to me by all indications that I was just not in the subject, go away, boy, do not interfere with work.So with that I think we say goodbye. Do business further, your choice to apologize or not is not for me to judge you.I didn't notice, but it looks like they changed the name and owner. Therefore, with the service of three cars, I will look for someone who will do well, and most importantly, be responsible for mistakes, even if there were any. We can all be wrong.

I felt very confident, leaving my vehicle with Gil at family auto care. He instilled much confidence and both he and the mechanic showed me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle. I came in because I had a slow leak, however, we also found that the tire was wearing on the inside where you can t really notice so I thought I would only have to change one tire. He explained to me and told me to Google it for myself to confirm that all wheel drive are recommended to change all four tires, even if it is only one that is being affected. While I waited, I did look it up and he was absolutely right. Although I ended up spending more than I was planning., I felt I was treated fairly and the cost was justified. I was even compelled to add more cost by having them give my car a well-deserved tuneup. Needed to have the air conditioning serviced. After doing some research and reading reviews I decided to give this place a try. I was not disappointed. They were very professional very detail oriented and explained everything in complete detail as to what the service would cost and how long it might take. Take it for me Take your car to family auto Service. Do not take your car to the dealership where you bought it you will be disappointed but you will be extremely happy if you go to family auto service.

These guys have been my 'go-to' Mechanics for over 20 years. Today I just came in for an oil change and tire rotation, but asked that they give my car a "once over" even though I recently purchased the car and it has only 8400mi.Well, Omar discovered radiator fluid had mistakenly been put in the window wash reservoir by the selling dealer! He was nice enough to drain that, fill it with proper liquid (luckily I had not used the the washer), and then he did not even charge for the service.It's hard to find this kind of service in any kind of business anymore!Thank you Family Auto!!Service: Oil change

Went in to get a tire rotation and wheel balancing under their service program after having 4 tires installed last year. Not the same place! My car was in the stall parked for about 20 minutes. Not sure if the work was even done as I left the area for about 30 minutes. Got a call saying it was ready while waiting outside the place with the car parked. Went in to get paperwork and I get the very pushy manager/ owner trying to aggressively guilt trip me into having other service done. It was all I could do to remain somewhat calm and not tell him to "back off!" Needless to say, I am very dissatisfied and won't be back!

I had originally had my tires replaced with Family Auto and unfortunately ended up with a nail in my tire a few months later. I called and the guy on the phone was very charismatic and welcoming and after I explained what happened he had me come in right away. Didn t take longer than 15-20 mins start to finish and they had the nail out and tire patched. Great customer service and would highly recommend them.

I won't recommend this place . #$@$#$#$Went for an aligment, and cam out with two crosstreaded lugnuts .Sadly, I didn't realize this happened until I got a nail on the tire .

I scheduled an alignment with another shop that canceled on me 5 minutes before the appointment. Family Auto took me as a walk in and had me out the door quickly! And the alignment is great.
