Fernando and the team here are the best! They worked all weekend to clear my big ole ford van out of the shop (full rebuild on the transmission with an added shift kit) and they got it done a day sooner than I'd even hoped! All without even the slightest change to his original estimate... which was *before* we added the shift kit. These folks are awesome!

This place is really awesome. When I was screwed over by my dealership because their transmission department was backed up 5 weeks to get serviced (when I had an appointment ) I called El Cajon Transmissions to see if they could help me and my car out. I was able to drop my car off that same day and pick it up before the end of the week. They got my car working again and they were very fast. El Cajon Transmissions was helpful and professional. I appreciated it because I have a busy work schedule and they diagnosed my car issue and worked to fit the repairs in to their schedule last minute during times that were good for me. Everyone who I interacted with here was polite, informative, and not pushy at all. Thank you!

Brought my car to get checked out, dude tells me I should get a new transmision. Then he asked me to bring it in so that another employee could further test car and see if it's anything else. How does one decide to recommend a transmission change so lightly when it is one of the most costly things a vehicle has. Dealer asked me to do a flush on trans, then take other proper steps before changing teansmision out.

Fernando is awesome and is an expert at what he does. He was able to diagnose problems that I have been having for years when many others have failed and even took the time to point out and dispense wisdom about my car's computer and transmission. If you are looking for an honest transmission shop at a fair price look no further.
