I was not very knowledgeable on the Mitsubishi evo platform, him and his team helped me diagnose my problems and even caught an issue on timing of the car that would of been catastrophic for the motor before the tune. His expertise on the evo platform was well noticed and appreciated. Before he gave me the car back he had it running at 100% and made my evo out perform my expectations, couldn t be happier with the service. Definitely bringing my next car over to him and his team.

Terrible service. He tells you it'll be here in an hour. After 3 hours, you call, and he says it will be there first thing in the morning. You say cool. Morning rolls around, no call, so you call him at 1100. He says it'll be there in 2 1/2 hours. Cool. At 1:30, you go to his shop. "The driver said he'd be here at 2:30." All the while the guy never calls you, yet he wants your business. So cool. 2:30--- No call. So you call him, "the driver said he was gonna leave at 2:30 and be here at like 4:35." 5:15 rolls around, no call. So you call him, " I don't know why you keep calling me, I said I would call you when it gets here!" This child with a hipster beard has no clue how to run a business or how to keep a customer informed. Every time YOU have to call him, he says something different. Being in the military, I have to say, I'm glad I only have a couple more years here in CA, cause it is home to the worst, and most entitled people I have ever seen.

I had at 10 AM appointment made by Steven a week before. Steven showed up 2 hours late. 1 hour later after he did not even say Hi I decided to leave.Steven, it is not cool to play with people time and money. I lost a day of work.Your name, Dr Boost, does not fit you at all.Extremely disrespectful.

Steve and his team at DR BOOST really step it up to get you the best your car can produce. I'm going to start off with the quick details first since most dont like to read.-Very knowledgeable and intelligent:When it comes to EVO's, he is a pure enthusiast and wants to use his experience to cater towards your car. Not just a great tuner but a great problem solver by tracing culprits that can be at fault during your session. He actually cares about getting your car to RUN RIGHT.-Great prices:Steve basically spent the whole entire day with my car at his initial rate. No changing prices and none of the "well I had to take more time on the dyno so I'll have to charge more". Straight forward when it came time to pay. (now don't get excited, there can be situations where your car is beyond any control factors of improvement and he may need more time). All-in-all...very competitive pricing-Legit built in house demo cars/parts consultation:Now, a lot of tuners talk the talk but can you walk the walk? These guys have serious platforms they use to compete in. What better way to show your abilities then to put your own cars on the line. Here's the 411 on my particular setup:I purchased a EVO8 that needed some serious work, she was barely idling, yet alone driving. There were indications that another well known EVO specialty shop in the SoCal area had already had major interaction with this car however nothing added up, I assume the previous owner was purchasing all the upgrades but has yet to tune or really work out the bugs. So I decided to give this shop a call but unfortunately basic information about the cars history was known but not revealed...I know they have a business operation to run and not looking for any freebies but, my question was simple: was this particular car ever tuned? It had huge shop decals on the front and rear windshields...but no answers.I was then recommended to go to another shop that a friend had good experience with, they are also EVO specialist. I had set up a tune, and while good people and decent business, we were unable to get the car to really make good power...this particular shop informed me that there are a lot of things to address on, so with that said I took the car back to configure and sort out issues. This particular shop was not to favorable about the vehicles current setup and advised that I should change some items. I took in the info and Thanked them for their little time spent on the car and went on my way.At this point I was in full repair mode, however I decided that the setup on the car would be decent enough for the type of power I wanted. I was then refereed to Steven @ DR BOOST, first off I would like to say within the EVO world you have a lot of people that talk and have personal opinions (some with no experience of the person)... like high school you hear the gossip and what not but I eliminated this out of my decision and started looking for proof of their abilities as much as I can online. It was appearant that they had tune and owned some high horsepower cars, which was a good sign. After this I started looking into their philosophy of engine setup and what not, I found that DR BOOST preferred to run my type of setup (SPEED DENSITY) so that was another plus. I called Steve, we spoke and set up a dyno session. This particular Evo still had a lot of smaller issues that most tuners would say "take your car back, figure it out and bring it back when its ready". Steve actually has the same mindset about issues as I do: when its there, try and fix it. So we adjusted some things, trouble-shot some other things and what do you know...the car MADE GREAT POWER without me not changing anything on the setup as terms of power mods. You want a tuner that is willing to trouble shoot or at least look into reasons why your car may be hesitant to produce good numbers...after all it is a dyno tune session. All in all, very highly recommended!

Poor service and falls information. Does half a job and spends more time finding excuses. Invest your money and time to someone that knows what they are doing and does not only thinks about the money and shatters people's dream cars.

Came here for a diagnosis on something that's clearly an issue. I was told nothing was out of the ordinary and it's fine. (Wasnt charged for "test drive/diagnostic") But a month later my turbo blew. Came to you guys for help to prevent this inevitable problem but I dont drive an evo so what was I thinking.
