It s probably one of the best auto shops in SD they do OEM parts with the dealership prices ( they ll quote, call & order the OEM parts for you ) or you can just bring your own parts.If you have the parts ready, the service will be done within couple hours or a day. They have coffee & small lounge that you can just wait inside & chill.It s completed Auto Care service.

I had a great experience at D&T Auto Repair! They took my car in same day and had me all fixed up in just a couple hours. They were willing to install customer-supplied parts which most shops don t do. Their pricing was very fair compared to other estimates I got. They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. As someone who prefers to do all my own car work and only take my car to the shop when a job is too big, I get the feeling that D&T is very transparent and does not try to take advantage. 10/10 will visit again.

Two things make this place different from many others in a good way: they call you and make sure you agree to proceed if they find something about the car that can change the initial estimate, you are not coming to pick your car having no idea what you are going to pay. Another great thing is if something is still wrong after you get the car back they will not all of a sudden turn their backs to you. It may be my personal lack of luck but in a number of more expensive places they stop talking to you the moment you pay the bill and the card reader says "Approved". The manager will show you the parts they replaced and explain what they had to do. In many places there are more managers than mechanics. They charge you at the front desk and learn what was done from the invoice they give to you to pay. At D&T it is different.While waiting in the line for 10 minutes I heard from others "thank you very much, great service, I will tell my friends about your place" - this was when a diagnosis was given without charging the cost because there was not a big problem with his starter as the owner initially thought. I wish this was an average level of service in every car shop but unfortunately my experience is that in San Diego customer service is very poor. D&T have their bar set above the average.

This is the most honest mechanic I ve ever come across - fair pricing, genuine service & no gauging or nickle & diming. I ve been coming to Tien for a couple years now and he s never let me down

This is the only place I've ever been that does not automatically try to sell you new rotors if you need new brake pads. They are up front about everything and will try to save you money. Quality of the repairs is good, too. D&T Auto Repair worked on two of my vehicles. Honda Accord 2011 and Mitsubishi Gallant 2010. The Honda had squealing brakes. I had them resurface the rotors and restore the brake pads. I am very pleased with the brake performance now. It's almost too good. I also had the brakes replaced in the Mitsubishi and it also turned out very well. The Mitsubishi had a malfunctioning AC unit. It would only blow heat. They fixed the air recirculation flap actuator because it was getting stuck. The Mitsubishi now has perfect AC once again. The Mitsubishi was reviewed for basic maintenance check since it had 110k mileage. The spark plugs were getting sprayed by oil due to a failing engine gasket. This was also replaced. I also asked them to repair the motor control for the driver's side window because it was replaced due to a prior small accident. They fabricated a connecting cable for me and it worked. Finally, there was a little paint on the vehicle and they were able to correct that with a little cleaner. I like the honesty and work ethic of this business. I am definitely returning for my vehicle maintenance check on the Honda when it hits 90k. Worked with Tim, who is in charge of the place and answers the phone, directs the work. Very honest, upfront, willing to work with. I was on a tight budget, and he helped me out with my cooling system. Would definitely recommend, and go there again.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

My spouse and I have been using Tien's services for over a decade. This business is the most reliable, honest, and fairly priced. You can even trust Tien with a mercedes. You won't be disappointed!

Came by for an oil change and transmission fluid change. Tien got it done within the hour with excellent pricing. Much better service than any other place I have been to. This is my new go to place for servicing my car.

I had all three of my cars fixed here! Mr.Tien managed to get my 2002 Acura MDX up and running after 3 years of it sitting in the driveway collecting dust! This other auto repair shop tried to upsale me for fixing my back headlight of $250 and once we went to d&t auto repair Mr. Tein charged only $75! Big big win!

Found D&T on Yelp after our former mechanics sold their business. Our Corolla developed a serious engine rattle. Tien quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it for a fair price. I like this place and will be back!

The best place to service my car.. easily accessible & excellent customer service. It is very affordable as well with cool discounts for regular customers. They will even give you a car to use as they work on your car so you won't have to sit there and wait.I recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice mechanic who is friendly respectful and most importantly a very pocket friendly place.
