Once you get someone to help you, they are very nice and helpful. I had an appointment at 1pm. I stood in line for 20 minutes before a worker even acknowledged my presence. I ordered the tired ahead of time so when I got there, it would be easy and no fuss. I needed only two tires replaced and it took very two hours. The longest tire change ever. Yes, the price was better than Discount tires, but the time I lost waiting for two tires was not worth it. Perhaps it s just this Carmel mountain place.

what the hell is the point of making customer schedule an appointment when even after 2 hours later they have not even started the work on my car. now I have to wait one more hour, total of 3 hours!!! this technician who seems to have been assigned to work on my car keeps coming out for customers and stop doing the work. terrible terrible service! the worst Costco experience of all! Costco needs to manage this tire store better than this or it will ruin your fine reputation.

Costco Tire Center has been my go-to for years when it comes to replacing the tires on my truck. I just got new tires in no time, well balanced, ready to burn up the road! Their service is consistently high-quality, fast, and comes at a great price.

Took my car in for a tire rotation and I saw them drive it into the bay at a really high speed, not slowing at all for the speed bump in front of the bay. When I got home I noticed the damage on the front bumper which I didn't see before. Not saying the speed bump caused the damage, but it didn't give me a sense of confidence to see the way the car was handled. (I did not see how they drove it out after the service). After the service, I measured 2 tires near 30psi, when the spec on the inside of the door states 41 psi. This is with someone signing off on a 10 point inspection. I assumed that a 10 point inspection would include checking and adjusting the tire pressure.I'm giving 3 stars for the following: one star for the courteousness of the initial service rep who helped me. Another star for the manager of the tire center for coming out to hear my complaint, talk to me about the damage, and helping fill out a form to file an incident report, and being courteous. And one more star because I've gotten a previous tire rotation on my other vehicle here with no issues. I really like Costco and want to keep coming here. I hope they can rectify the issue and/or make some changes in their process.Update (10/3/23): Conclusion from the incident report is that they don't have any video footage covering the area from the parking lot into the bay. The video footage inside the bay was covered by tires. So they are not able to determine who is responsible for the damage. I am changing the rating down to 1 star.

Need a lot update and communication. I was there around Am to check my tire. I didn't have any appointments. As I were driving close and my car dashboard said" tire service " I drove by. They asked if I have appointments, I say No, they check my car and said your tires ate low in pressure and check me In for service. Take my phone number and said they will call me when the car is ready. . At 1 PM , I asked how long it will take to get my car and said I need to pickup my kids at 3, and they said you have 4 cars in front of you, at 2 pm I asked for a status check and they said harshly will in your car in 1 hour and I decided to take my keys to come to pick up my kids from. Please, communicate with the customer, if I know That I need to wait more than 3 hours and for nothing, they no way I will accept that. I was very nervous for all this lost and expressed my frustration by leaving this note. Please respect people more, make it clear no appointment no service. I hope this note is helpful

I'm a member for 42 years! I pay for membership, and service. I removed my car battery, went to this CostCo, found the battery I needed with no help, was first in line, and 45 minutes later a employee called me up to make my purchase. CostCo membership has been in a steady decline for 42 years, and more rapidly so in the last 5 years!

Everybody's nice ..... however the first thing you will experience are very long lines, and the tires are 10%+ overpriced, And when they sell you tires, they make you wait most of the day to get them put on. 4 hours minimum And they won't fix a flat quickly, same thing like 4 hours, Same slow service with anything, else as well - checking air pressure or. rotating the tires you have to have an appointment or wait hours... Because of those inconveniences I'll never buy tires here again.Discount tire will be my go to from now on. If you have a flat they help you within thirty minutes. They also check your air pressure quickly. From what I've seen if they're not busy they do as much as they can to help you quickly. My first experience with discount tire. I had a blowout on the freeway and the tow truck took me there and they sold me two new tires and I was out within 2 hours!... Then I came back to get the tire pressure checked and they had the line set up to do that instantly fifteen minute wait.The other costco is not much different so maybe it's just their Is corporate culture. Is reminds me of the old DMV, hurry up and wait.

A phone call was answered and met with excellent help. The person took my information and reserved tires for me AND set an appointment for me same-day. The team was very helpful getting my vehicle serviced

Had to wait in line for 20minutes even having made an appointment.It took them more than 2 hours to install 4 new tires.

Customer service from this tire center went down over the years even before Covid. Making an appointment doesn't matter since you can come past your appointment and they'll pick the person who was late over the person who's been in line that came on time.

Tire center in Poway is GREAT!! I had a very FLAT tire that I discovered after working a 12 hour shift. Took my car originally to Carmel Mountain Tire and was turned away ( which is fine, they were SLAMMED). Made it over to Poway and the guy who helped me was SO nice and said they could look at my tire even though they were full too! A few hours later I got a whole new tire put on and was on my way home! Thanks to the Costco Tire Center in Poway!!! Y'all are amazing!!

Worst place in town, bad service, I repaired 4 tires in there, two days later, tire pressure warning lights went on, I go back the shop waiting for an hour to get serviced, a guy checked pressure and tell me to put air pressure 38 pis, 33pis was too low. The pressure 33 pis is the manufacturer recommended tires pressures cannot be wrong.

Simply slow lines and don't answer the phone. Shouldn't take 5+ hrs to change tires. First time try going to Costco, and heading back to Discount Tire.

They damaged my car while driving it into their shop (from the parking space to the tire shop). I saw the employee almost take the front bumper off, so I filed a report with the warehouse and a claim with my insurance carrier. Costco then determined that it was NOT THEIR FAULT! A tire center employee damaged my vehicle while driving it, but apparently they are not responsible because the cameras above the tire center show my car coming into the tire shop with damage. Of course it shows my car being driven in by their employee with damage because it was damaged by that employee. I wasn't even concerned as I thought, "Well, accidents happen and that's why they carry insurance". Everyone, be sure to take a video of your vehicle before leaving it there for them to drive into their shop. There are no cameras facing the parking lot and if they damage your car, you're on the hook! I am still so very disappointed and will be cancelling my membership before it renews.

Nice people. Good service. Horrible at time estimation. Called and they were very busy but at least the guy answered the phone (unlike San Marcos Costco Tire). They were definitely very busy. The guy that helped me was very nice and helpful. It was about 6:45pm when I arrived, 7pm by the time I was charged and estimate for time to completion was about 1-1.5 hours because they were very busy. Its now 9:40pm and I'm still waiting. Again, very nice people. Service is very nice but they need to work on how they estimate time to completion. I get it. Sometimes things take a little longer than expected. An hour longer than worse case scenario means you don't know what you're talking about. Also not big on teamwork apparently. Two guys standing around talking about nothing while one guy works on my car. Maybe if they worked together it would have only taken 1.5 hours instead of 3.

I had a 5pm appointment. They supposedly close at 6pm, so I was hoping no more than an hour wait with the appointment for tire rotation and balance.I got a call asking if I could come in early. I went in around 1:40pm and ended up waiting 1.5 hours, the longest possible wait time.What I don't get is I was told they'd have only two technicians at 5 and they didn't want me to wait too long. They also have a lot of cars to work on at the time I walked in. I am not sure it really saved my time.

Do not allow any Costco tire center employee to drive your car from the lot into the garage. They only have cameras facing the immediate section right outside. When my husband took his car to have his tires rotated, the kid driving our car seriously damaged a huge section of the bumper (which had to be replaced) which my husband watched and told management about. They apologized and said they would file a report, which my husband signed and they wrote in admitting they were at fault. We just got a call from our instance saying that my husband was not at fault, but Costco has footage of the car coming into the shop like that (because the cameras don t capture the lot which is smart on their end). If that is their proof, they should have customers pull their own cars into the shop themselves. I m so disappointed that this major company lied and stole money from us (my husband was required to pay his deductible) because Costco would not admit fault and there is no other proof. If this happens to you, get a copy of that report or ask to be the one that drives your car in.Such a shady thing to do on their part. We are cancelling our auto membership.

There wasn't a line, I'm used to great service. I came in today with an appointment to balance and rotate my tires that I bought at Costco. I was told it would take 1.5 to 2 hours. I asked even with an appointment?? No response. I tell him I don't know if I can wait 2 hours, he says do you want to cancel the appointment. I said no, I'll be back in an hour or 1.5 hours and if it's not ready, I'll need to take it. I said why so long with an appointment? He doesn't reply.....

I went in 2 times about the same tire. The first time (beginning of the year ish) was a month into have fresh treads and ended up with a nail in the tire wall. I told the mechanic, he said I just needed to put air in it. Fine, I'll do that, whatever. Months go by of me having to refill my tire once a week until, it doesn't hold air anymore. I go back to Costco, tell them my issue, AGAIN, and they "fix" it. There was a second nail in the tire treads that they fixed. But the one I had mentioned in the side wall wasn't touched AT ALL. I missed an ENTIRE day of work because of this and it's not even fixed. Listen to your customers the first time. Granted, they "fixed" it for free, but they didn't even do a full job. I would rate 0 stars if I could. Im currently pregnant and if their negligence ended up with me in an accident, there would be issues to be had.

Had a nail in my tire and went to get it fixed still under warranty. You have to order your tire online and then make an appointment and they have your car all day! What kind of a tire place is this? They need to Hire more people to get the job done! Don't go here unless you have all day to spend at Costco. I'm a member since Costco opened.

I've been going here for years and years. The prices are reasonable and I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. Yes, it can take a long time. Lots of people go here and good mechanical work takes time. That's why fast food restaurants don't get Michelin star ratings. They couldn't give me an appointment for this visit so I just showed up. They ordered my tires and then called me to tell me I could make an appointment. I did and they honored it and got me ahead of a man who was visibly upset and who didn't have an appointment. That angry guy will be leaving a negative review today even though it was his own fault. I tried another tire place once and they were completely incompetent and tried to scam me. I go to Costco tire because I don't mind waiting a little more for the job to get done right at a reasonable price. Good tires are a safety issue. I will continue going to this Costco tire location for the foreseeable future for all the above reasons.

Still Waiting over 60 minutes! I m just trying to buy a battery. No way around this slow process. I looked up the battery I need and just have to hurry up and wait until a tech will ring it up. Apparently I need a appointment to get any service at all. Just standing here in line as people come in to be waited on. I could have called AAA waited for a tech and been gone before being able to buy a battery and then having the privilege to install it myself. Yeah.

Appointments are pointless! Had one scheduled for 1:30 and made me wait in a long line. The staff took in someone with a 2:30 appointment before me, just because they were before me in line. Ended up waiting an hour in line

I didn't have an appointment and arrived about 5 minutes before they opened and there was already a line of people waiting. It took over 30 minutes just to speak to a technician and I was told it would take the whole day to complete the work and I did not have a ride home and didn't want to stay the whole time. I opted to schedule an appointment for later and to my surprise there was one available that day, about an hour later, with an estimated completion time of 2-3 hours instead of all day...strangeAnyways, I came back at 11am to drop off the car and received a call around 12pm telling me the work was done. So I drove back a few hours later to pick up the car. It was a lot of waiting and driving back and forth. Lesson is to always schedule an appointment!The technicians are nice and very knowledgeable so that is good.

If you re ready to lose 20-45 minutes of your life every time you walk in the door This is your place. Regardless of if you have an appointment or not. I ve lost that amount of time when dropping off, and when picking up. Quality work, archaic organization in the front of the shop.

Had a rotation appointment for 12 noon. Arrived at 11:15 due to Wife's doctor's appointment. Went into lobby as 1 of 5 in line.Employee asked if anyone had an appointment. I said yes, as the other 4 did not. He asked what was my appointment time. I replied with 12 noon, I'm dropping off for tire rotation.Employee said I would have to wait behind the others since I was too early. At 10 minutes per customer, that would make me wait an additional & needless 40 minutes while making my Wife late for her appointment.What an absolute garbage way to treat a customer with a scheduled appointment.I'll go to San Marcos from now on.
