I went in thinking I d need a new key fab for a friend s car and was prepared for it to be expensive, turns out the battery was just dead. They replaced it for free! Extremely honest! Alfredo was great to work with!

I ve gotten helped here before and the service this time did not disappoint! The team was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. They talked me through every step of the repair and made great recommendations for future proofing. I m sure if I took the time I could have found a cheaper rate somewhere else but the rates they gave me felt reasonable and were well worth the peace of mind. I ve heard it s important to trust your mechanic and they made me feel like I was in good hands immediately.I will be back here again next time something goes wrong with my car! Thanks!

Agreed to have an inspection before a trip, called in first, said couple hours. Upon showing him couple issues outside bluntly said couldn't work n my vehicle, accused me of sleeping in it. He saw my dog's bed, which he was in. Became an argument. After clearing that up left vehicle, 3.5 hours later no word. They didn't get it up on rack still and was trying to leave town so just a waste of time plus being insulted a bit.

Talk about going above and beyond. Jade and Alfredo did everything they could to replace the radiator in my old pre-90s van before the Xmas holiday wkd. Thank you again, you made my day with your professionalism and commitment to perform.

This is a very expensive place, they have crazy high charges for labor. They charged me 412 dollars of labor to replace a positive battery cable that costs only 20 dollars and can be quickly replaced. They did the same with a simple battery starter and fusible link. The parts-to-labor ratio is 0.5 in this place, I have never seen this in any place before. The customer service is awful, they had my car for three days and I had to call every single day to get information on what was going on, they are very unprofessional. The person working in the office gives you a quote that it is not itemized, so you do not notice the swindle they are going to do. This person made up a very unbelievable story about why it took them so long to receive a piece. Also, when I went to the shop to pick up the car, I realized that they had left it parked on the street. I definitely do not recommend this car repair shop at all, they will try to get all your money by inflating the cost of labor.

I usually only try to leave 5 star reviews for good service/ people but this place was awful for me. I took in my 2018 Honda accord because the AC wasn t working.They didn t say a word about anything and I had to call back for updates. They said oh it s done and charged 500 bucks with no explanation of the work. My AC was working so didn t care much leaving but then the AC stopped working the next day and when I took it back they said their test machine missed that I had a crack/ leak with my condenser and wanted another 700 dollars to repair my AC.They offered to get the condenser part from a nearby Honda dealer and so I called a Honda dealership to get information and my cars AC is still covered under Honda warranty still so it s free which I assume the people at cass st knew but of didn t say anything but would help ordering the part and charging me 700 dollars on top of the 500 that was worthlessNever felt so ripped off in my life, they have terrible service (minus the cute little dog) and thankfully only conned me out of 500 not 1200 for a simple AC fix that is free if I just went to a Honda dealership first.Service: A/C installation & repair

Before I selected an auto repair shop for a oil change in my 2014 Lincoln MKx, I checked the reviews on Yelp for Cass Street auto repair. Based on those reviews I decided to have them work on my car.. After my service, I was even more impressed. They texted me a digital detail of my car s check up. They covered every point. Jade had my car finished in less than four hours, and it was exactly the same price as he quoted. For a small shop in a local community, they act very professionally, and I love their mission statement.Services: Battery service, General repairs & maintenance, Auto battery maintenance, Auto maintenance

We brought our vehicle in this morning, without an appointment and we were promptly taken care of by a very professional employee. They carefully listened to our explanation of the problem and had us fill out contact information. They told us that we would hear from them by the end of the day. Early this afternoon they contacted us to let us know that the problem had been diagnosed and fixed for UNDER the original estimate price. How can you beat that? Thank you Cass Automotive for restoring my faith and non-dealer repair shops.Service: Electrical repair

They replaced my 4 tires and did the labor for a brake and rotor job for $1500 with aftermarket parts I provided. Not exactly cheap but I feel they priced me fair enough and didn't seem to be gouging me for parts.Will likely come back for maintenance once I have some extra bucks.Came in a second time for oil change, transmission oil change, service check and spark plug replacement. Car drives a bit smoother now.Service: Auto maintenance

This was exceptionally poor service overall. I came in with 2 main problems and neither were fixed. Instead, I received a laundry list of other items that were failing on the car which I unfortunately fell for and took the bait. The car was returned later than promised with the main problems (smoke inside the car) failing. Had a great experience with Cass Street Auto! Staff was very friendly and attentive; sent me a digital report with awesome explanations and prioritized what needed to be done.Got my oil changed and valve gasket cover replaced for a very reasonable price!Highly recommend these guys!

Came into town for the weekend and found a busted power steering hose. Didn't want to drive out of town with the busted hose and luckily I stopped in to see these guys. Super helpful, worked hard to get me the cheapest part that would work for me, and got the work done same-day so I could leave town on time.I feel like I got super lucky popping into a shop of honest folks who worked hard to get me back on the road at a fair price. Thanks fellas. Wish I lived in SD so I could come here for maintenance!

Randy, the owner of Cass SA, was extremely attentive to my concerns (transmission issues) and he and his service folks checked the car up and down, inside and out, and reassured me that the issue being intermittent, was hard to forcibly illuminate and he took the time to explain and break down all my various concerns with my car. He is warm, effusive, knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy. Those are all characteristics one should look for in caring for ones car. 2 thumbs up to Cass Street Automotive.Service: Transmission

Brought car for alternator replacement. Fast and good service. Advised to replace battery but they were not pushy. Fair pricing. I will be back.A month later, the new alternator went bad and I brought back the car. They realized that the new alternator was defective and promptly replaced it free of charge without arguing. I had to get maintenance work done for my hood lever and an oil change and the guys at cass street automotive were so friendly professional and fast. It can be intimidating getting car work done as a woman but I felt comfortable and could tell they do great honest work. Jade was really helpful and helped me check in my car. They were very thorough and did a check up on my car and provided a report. They even helped me fix and replace my car key battery which I never would have been able to do myself.

Awesome service!!!! Stopped by on a Saturday morning for a nail in my tire. They fixed it within 30 min and did not charge me! Super friendly staff :)

I have an older car, and the A/C stopped working. They fixed the a/c about a month ago and it unfortunately began to not work again. They honored their warranty and got me in immediately to fix it. As someone who trusts basically no one to work on my truck, after working with Jade and everyone at Cass Street while working in the auto repair industry for 2 years, Cass Street Auto is one of the two shops in pacific beach I d let even touch my truck. They re mechanics are top notch and arent trying to scam you for stuff you don't need.Services: Auto brake repair, General repairs, Auto maintenance

Update: it's under new management and while it seems on the up and up, it was a little disappointing in that my car was left with the window open in the rain. The staff was nice, but kind of sucks to drive home with your whole car seat soaking wet.Ron and his crew do a great job every time and on time, and they are honest and fair dealing. That's the best you can hope and expect from an auto shop, and I've been sticking with them for years. Sadly, they don't do weekend operations anymore due to city restrictions on noise. Makes it a bit more difficult to get in with them if you're busy through the work week. But if your car needs fixing, they have great service and great value and you can trust them - and they'll show and verify what's wrong with your car and what you actually NEED to get done to achieve what you want. Broke and need to just drive? They'll tell you truly. Want to make sure it's super tip-top? They'll get you there, too. Great and easy to work with. Can't recommend 'em enough. Number one shop in PB hands down.

Quality shop with no malarkey. Routine oil change comes with a nice and clear inspection report. They will tell you what needs to be addressed now or can wait but to be aware of. You can probably find cheaper places, but you won't get as high quality of a job or as honest and thorough of a report on your cars condition.Also they seem to always have some sweet (and expensive or rare) cars around in the shop so that's a good sign of quality work.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Battery, Oil change

Well I've been here about 4x now (even recommended my BF there) and they're definately friendly but this last month has ruined my respect for them. Originally they did great work at a great price but this time they had issues for a month getting a simple small part to replace (that they missed in the first diag I did with them). I patiently waited, they said it would cost less and take no time to do. 10min later it's 150$ in labor FOR 10MIN?!? They didn't even get the check engine light off! And the price for the part didn't change. Last time I go there. They didn't even resolve the check engine light which is what I went in for.Services: Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change
