I took a Chevy Tahoe in for a wheel bearing replacement. I have to admit when I pulled up I was a little skeptical but when I left I was a very happy customer. I had emailed for a quote. David got back to me same day and their price was way better than the Chevy dealer across the street. The customer service was top notch. There is a reason for all the high reviews these guys are good !

I needed a place to put new tires and brakes on my 1990 Miata so I reached out to CarTune. From start to finish David was super helpful and prompt with answering all of my questions and providing estimates. I made an appointment for a Saturday morning drop off and by the afternoon the car was done and ready to be picked up. Prices were reasonable and I am very satisfied with the work. I will be back with my Miata for future services!

These guys were amazing. Caught multiple issues that dealership did not disclose, able to fit me in same day and very affordable. Would highly suggest taking any vehicle there prior to purchase for inspection

Amazing shop, Rydell took amazing care of my car and got it aligned perfectly (even if the parts I installed were kinda janky lol)100% going back for all future work I need done. Amazing staff and great work being done.

I have been taking my cars to this same shop since before it became cartune, same great people.. just got a dc5 type r k20 installed in my fa5, just have to clean her up and continue my restore. But drove car home yesterday, felt amazing. Talk to Justin hes been there for awhile

Tuner beware! Long story short, I like these guys but they are sloppy. we spent over 6k paying them to re-fix things they had fixed. Things they billed us for doing, weren't actually done resulting in diagnostic confusion and the car undrivable for 9 months. After the 3rd time "fixing" the car, we brought it directly to another shop that was astonished by the sloppy gasket goop and unbolted and loose hardware. Everything service they had provided is now being fixed by another shop.Long storywe needed them to replace a headgasket on a 90s import which required dropping the subframe. we supplied headgasket and asked if there was anything else needing to be replaced while engine was out, to go ahead and do it. They did the repair and on the drive home, blew a coolant line and overheated. this required head remachining and new gaskets again, we also bought a coolant line kit and asked them to replace every coolant line so this wouldn't happen again. They didn't install everything and told us we were good to go and you will never guess what happened again. Also we had them install a new ecu which required switching 2 wires in order to work. They never switched the wires and then retuned the car upon their insistence, the car was unable to keep idle with the tune they supplied. Then this time, we had to send the head to a special machinist. once getting it back we took it directly to another shop. they showed us that they hadnt rebolted all the motor mounts and there was huge amounts of RTV gasket maker everywhere and they hadnt used the gasket kit we provided. The car had a grounding kit which they cut and let the wires dangle in place without removing or reattaching. The valve cover (unused provided gasket) was leaking oil everywhere and filling the spark plug wells. when we called them about it, they said they would fix it but were "really busy right now" so we called a month later, they scheduled us for a month after that and dropped off the car. we would call every week or so asking for a status update and the excuses started flowing. we were next up on the lift for the next 4 weeks. until we decided, another shop would be a smarter option.Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I brought my honda to them because the fans weren't coming on. The first time they fixed it, it was not fixed. brought it back and even brought a new radiator, all the sensors etc, Still not fixed.I personally think they are all great guys but I cant have them work on my cars anymore.

Charged me over $400 to recharge my A/C. Didn't even address the actual problem I came in for, which was the zone control functionality (always blowing hot on one side). I ended up buying the $50 vent flip part and installing it after about 2 hours of research online. Writing this review after I realized they also broke both of the glove box toppers so now when you open the glove box, everything just falls on the floor. Left me worse off than I started and after a massive over charge. Absolutely ridiculous.

Although I didn't get anything done with them besides a inspection these guys were awesome. They were brutally honest which saved me money in the long run.I came in with what I suspected was a blown head gasket and they confirmed but it was worse than I expected. At first they told me I would need to replace the motor so I asked their honest opinion on if it is worth it and if they mind inspecting the rest of the car.They did a visual check of the chassis and everything. After said inspection they told me it isn't worth replacing the engine and they suggest getting rid of the car because of all the rust.They price of the motor swap labor and parts was less than $6k. I thought it was a great price for a motor with only 30k miles on it.

Justin and his team are the best! Very professional and knowledgeable. They were straight forward with me, told me what I needed, what I didn't need and gave me a price quote. Guess what? When I went to pick up my car, the price was the same as what they quoted me. They aren't in the business to screw you over. They want repeat business. I can respect that.

After struggling with another local shop, I next went to Cartune to get a pre-purchase inspection on a car. Their price wound up great, infact it was too good so I paid a tip on top in advance. They knocked the job out of the park and really helped get some quality information on the car to help me make an informed choice. 110% recommend them.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Brought my car here for many reasons. Everything from a downpipe install to a steering wheel install and wiring, even coilovers with an alignment. Whatever problem or aftermarket parts you need installed they can handle. Greatly recommend

Finding an honest auto shop is hard to come by, but these guys are probably one of the most honest you can find. I come here because I trust them with my car.I come here for regular service maintenance as well as installing custom parts so I know these men are knowledgable on many aspects of a vehicle.

These guys always take care of me when I am in San Diego. They do quality work and they aren t happy until I am happy. I have been getting my mods done with them for years on my old Nissan, my GTI and even my Prius! Thank you Justin and the guys working their butts off during this pandemic at Cartune!

This is by far my favorite auto repair shop. Justin, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable and provides outstanding service and communication. I use CarTune for oil changes and all repairs. Once, my car wasn t starting and due to work I didn t have time to diagnose it or even drop it off during the day. I dropped the car off after hours, hid the key and left a voicemail, and they had my car ready for pickup with a new battery by noon the next day. Most recently my engine seized and I had the car towed to Cartune after hours. Justin put in some time trying to diagnose it. Once we figured out that the problem was a defect in my model covered by an extended warranty (after Subaru settled some lawsuits over this issue), I towed the car to a Subaru dealership. Subaru requested all my service records, which Justin immediately sent via email. The charge for diagnosing the problem, receiving the tow, sending the tow, and emailing me my service history (all by phone, I didn t go to the shop once) was $50. These are real car guys who care about the vehicles and their customers. I love my 2014 WRX wagon and would trust these guys with any level of repair. Highly recommended.

OUTSTANDING....Impressive repair performance and GREAT customer service provided by these expert technicians (Justin, Ricky and Ridel). This car performance is like new again. The engine got replaced!!!! and all systems superbly performed to include the ECU (re-flashed/reprogrammed) when tested. I will never try another repair shop/technician again. I had a great experience with these guys. Went in for them to fix a problem on my Z another shop had created and they were able to diagnose and fix the issue the same day. They kept me updated throughout the whole process and were very professional.
