Mark is probably one of the best communicating mechanic I've worked with. He went above and beyond not only to do amazing work on my truck but he also gave invaluable advice on my situation with his many years of experience and experience.This place not only has talent but they are as straight shooters as it gets giving you transparent descriptions of your vehicles needs and honest and reasonable prices (they literally saved me hundreds on an engine swap and other important jobs on my 92 ford bronco).If you live in San Diego county this company shows its loyal customers the utmost care, so if you can schedule an appointment and become a customer i definitely recommend it and you can rest assured that your car needs will be covered!

Mark has been maintaining our family vehicles for nearly two decades. He is alway friendly, open and honest. Mark has a great way of simplyfying mechanical issues and helping you make an informed choice. His staff are all courteous and competent. Any issues are always owned and addressed right away. Can't reccommend Autohaven enough.

Mark is friendly, communicative, has a quick turnaround, and is transparent about recommended repairs and does not try to upsell. I'd highly recommend him for any future automotive work! It seems difficult to find a mechanic shop that you trust will do the right repair, the right way.. but once I found Marks Autohaven, I go nowhere else and I've recommended them to all of my friends and family! they're incredibly honest and kind and just really knowledgeable and good at what they do. Solid repairs that have never needed attention after the car has left the shop the first time, and sometimes when one of the guys over there is don't a repair and sees something that needs attention, he will fix it or correct it for free purely out of their desire to provide you with quality work that alleviates your auto issues... and its true that the kindest member of the team is their dog, but only because she is the sweetest dog that has ever lived, but everyone else is super awesome as well...Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Transmission repair, Auto emissions testing

I've used a few independent repair shops, and was referred to Mark by a close friend. We've never looked back. He is hands down, the best independent around. Honest in his assessments, and unwilling to compromise on the quality of the work. It's rare to find someone like this in the business today. As long as he is open, we'll continue to take all of our cars there.

Rafael and mark are awesome people and never had a better experience with a repair shop like I did. They fixed my smart car as promised and for the quoted price they gave at the get go. They definitely finished the job super quick that it surprised me. I will definitely be taking all my vehicals to them. Good prices and honest as can be. If I could give 10 stars I would. We took our Jeep Patriot there after the dealership said they could only fix our front headlamp by replacing the entire electrical system for $2k. Autohaven fixed it for $87 within a few hours of drop off. Everyone was friendly, and Mark provided me a great understandable explanation of the problem and my options for going forward. We will definitely be bringing our cars here in the future!

Mark and his Autohaven, staff, and shop mascot dog, Suki, are amazing. He tells it like it is- what needs immediate repairs for safety & to run, what can be delayed. His pricing is reasonable, honest, and fair. He is clear and direct in explaining things. The repairs are perfect and he's corrected things that other shops did incorrectly. Take all your major (and minor) repairs to Autohaven!

I have brought my 4runner here several times and i absolutely love them!! Very friendly and nice under a stressful situations for me, and extremely honest!!!! I have an older car and what ever issue i have with it , they fix it and i never have to go back for that issue again, I highly recomend them and will never take my car anywhere else.

I trust Mark with my life and, more importantly, my car. I asked around for a good mechanic when I moved to San Diego, and all of my friends told me to go to Autohaven.He stands behind his work and doesn't try to sell me repairs I don't need. He let's me know what I have to have done and what can wait for a while.I drive for Lyft, and I put a lot of miles on my car. A mechanic I can trust is worth his weight in gold. I can't recommend Autohaven any more highly.

Mark runs a great shop. He is an honest hard working competent mechanic. The prices they charge are fair and the work they perform is solid. Just be sure to call ahead to book an appointment.

I've been using Autohaven for repairs on my WRX and 1963 Thunderbird for over 7 years now. They have always exceeded my expectations for quality of work and value for my money. None of that red-tape bureaucracy you get from dealerships. They are owner operated and they really care about their customers. Staff is always helpful and explain everything very clearly. I've referred several friends to them and everyone comes back and thanks me.If you need a mechanic you need to give them a try.

I was referred to Autohaven (Rafael) by a friend that drives for Uber (lots of miles). The first time, always a little scary, turned out great. I was just in again with a "check engine" code. Rafael hooked up his computer and determined the problem right then and there. He recommended a possible fix that I could try on my own and it worked . . . no charge!I'm scheduled to have them do some other work now and am very comfortable with doing so.Highly recommended
