You ever meet someone who you can just tell in your gut is trustworthy? The kind of trustworthy where you would feel completely comfortable sending your mom or sister there to have work done.This is that place. My cars Rarely see a shop because I do 98% of the maintenance/work they need.I've had some noise in my suspension lately and figured why not just drop it off and let Aiwa have a look. The last time I needed to consult a shop was with my previous vehicle almost a decade ago, but I remember taking it here and having an extremely positive experience, so I went back and can confirm that my memory served me correctly.You'll be in good hands here.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto maintenance

I made an appointment which was convenient for me and dropped my vehicle off. Lee called back shortly after to tell me what needed to be fixed. My vehicle was repaired and I was back behind the wheel a few hours later. The cost was reasonable & fair. I appreciate a good, reliable, honest mechanic. Aiwa Auto Repair is awesome! Today is my second time coming in to this shop to get my car fixed for a different issue. Just like last time, Aiwa Repair did great. Very communicative, prompt and a really good price. I've always felt like I'm treated nicely and felt like they are knowledgeable and honest. Today, they were able to fix my engine light issue. They promptly diagnosed it, fixed the problem and got me using the car again with peace of mind. Thank you Aiwa Repair! I highly recommend them.

I highly recommend Aiwa. I have been here twice. The first time I had all my spark plugs replaced. They charged me half what the Kia dealership quoted me. They were able to get me in within a couple of days. The work was finished before he said it would be. They were great! The second time I stopped in just to ask if they were able to repair a damaged undercarriage. He took my keys to check it out. Before I knew it he had it up on the jack and he repaired right then, less than 15 minutes. He didn t charge me for the service. That is excellent customer service that promotes customer loyalty. I brought my truck in for a repair of the what I believe was the steering column and asked for an oil change as well. After some time he said the car was ready and mentioned what they had done but did not mention the oil change. I asked him about it and he said "oh I forgot I'll do it myself right now." He was acting jittery and moving around fast although there was only 1 other customer there and they had 3 techs there. His behavior was unusual. Within 5 minutes he came to front and said its ready. I thought to myself that was wat too fast because I used to do my own. I paid and was on on the freeway for 5 minutes before my truck started making loud noises, shaking violently and smoking. I pulled over as soon as I could. I called the shop and the same guy told me he would send a tow truck to bring it back to look at it. After 30 minutes he said it was ready and when I asked him what had happened he said they hadn't tightened some parts properly. I believe he emptied my oil without putting new oil in.I had to come back as the repair for the original screeching I had brought it in for was not repaired properly. I called the GM Le and told him what happened and he said to bring it back in to fix the original steering column issue. He told me when I came in that he had to fire the guy who had not put oil in my truck and that he was causing problems for his customers.I have reached out to Le via email and phone calls and told him that my truck smells like burned oil now ever since that incident. They have caused irreversible damage to my truck and put me at risk . I have asked Le to either rebuild my engine or pay how much it costs to get it replaced and he has not returned my emails or phone calls.This is the 2nd time I went in for one repair and had another issue caused by them. Stay away from this place unless you want to leave with more issues and repairs on your hands than what you delivered your vehicle to them with.Service: Oil change

It's refreshing to find an auto repair shop that does good work at a fair price. Didn't recommend any unnecessary service and got the work done fast. We've found our shop!

Love this auto shop. They re inexpensive, quick, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I definitely trust them and their services. These guys let me know that I didn t need a service (when they could ve gone ahead and done it and charged me quite a bit and I wouldn t have known otherwise). You know it s a good, honest, trustworthy shop when they tell you you don't need to spend more money on something!

Ive been getting all our cars serviced at Aiwa for years. They are honest, go above and beyond at every turn. They charge very fair prices, call with updates, and always estimate time to repair accurately so you can plan around the services your car needs. As an example, my Infiniti dealer wanted to charge me $3K for a major gasket repair. Turns out, that gasket wasn t even the problem. The Aiwa team found the actual issue, called to inform me and confirm estimate/repair. My final bill was 1/3 the cost and my sweet G35 is zooming again. I cannot more highly recommend them for all makes and models. Very happy we found them.

Called them up and let them know my catalytic convertor had been stolen. They advised me to call my insurance and see if it was covered, it is, but they don't work with insurance companies. That's ok, they advised that since 8t is covered I can just have it towed to my local dealership.Thanks Aiwa, as always a pleasure doing business with you!Follow up - My insurance sent me their estimate for the replacement with a check, I deposited it, and the cost for Aiwa to do the work was less, and so they completed the work, and did the smog check for registration, all for less than what the insurance gave me.Great service again, I highly recommend this auto repair shop.

I've taken three cars to Aiwa over the last six years. The service has always been reasonable and outstanding. I constantly recommend them to friends and have never had anyone come back disappointed. The prices are very fair and their diagnostics are accurate. My advice is to call ahead and schedule an appointment. Because they are so good, they can get busy. But it's usually a matter of picking the best time to bring your car in, not a matter of waiting an excessive time for service. Five stars.

I had a broken mirror that I kept getting the run around for, from $300-600 to no estimates at all to replace. I got the part I needed online for $50, and AIWA honored a phone quote of $40 for installation. You don't see honesty like this everyday in the car business. Thank you AIWA!

I used to live near this shop so I d often take vehicles here and speak with Lee and the team. I always had great service and communication from them. I just recently came to them with some questions for the first time a long while and as always, very helpful insight and communication to make the best decision for my budget and situation.

I've been going to Aiwa for almost 5 years now and I pretty much won't take my car anywhere else. They have a talented group of mechanics and the staff has always been honest and friendly whenever I have to bring my car in. Lee does a great job managing the shop and he's always straight-forward when it comes to estimating a repair. Just be sure to make an appointment, because they are usually very busy!

Lee is awesome. I took in my Toyota Camry to have the gas tank removed and fix the purge valve. He got it done with confidence and extremely good customer service. Highly recommend this establishment. 3 thumbs up.

I have been going to Aiwa since my former mechanic retired about 3-4 years ago. I initially selected Aiwa because of their 5 star rating on Yelp. Being a non mechanical women, this was very important to me. I've never had reason to regret my decision. Aiwa has always been honest, dependable, certainly reasonable cost-wise and just great to work with overall. Service reminders and cost estimates have always been appreciated and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend them!

Aiwa is a fantastic place to take your car for any and all repairs. They are extremely thorough and explain what needs to be fixed and what's needed. I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years now and I wouldn't take any of my cars anywhere else.

I got my both headlight replaced. They originally quoted me $50 after seeing my car in person, knowing exactly the year made and model. When I arrived with headlight assembly, the front recipient said it s $90 since they need to remove front bumper.When I paid the labor, I requested a receipt for work was performed in case light didn t turn on or the front bumper didn t install back correctly. He quickly said if it didn t work it s not our problem because you bought the parts. He did not consider there are other possibilities the light can go wrong i.e. improper connection upon installation and front pumper may not put back correctly.Sure enough, one light didn t work after they returned to me. I asked him didn t the mechanic checked all the light, the recipient respond we check the front ones not the side one that doesn t even make sense to me you don t CHECK ALL LIGHTS??? The owner was nice to explain to me after he fixed the light with a better connection part from my original part. The guy works in the front probably has one of the worse customer service I experienced, very rude and don t hold accountability.

This auto repair shop continues to be my go to when something is wrong with my car. I started coming here when i was a starving student, and their honesty to me has continued to confirm my trust of them. Today, it was the engine light turned on,. They told me up front the diagnosis was 80.00. The problem turned out to be my son not turning the gas cap enough. No charge for my trouble. Whether I have lived in Mira Mesa or now in Chula Vista, Aiwa will be my go to place for my car, and i reccomend it be yours as well.

This place is amazing. Very cheap and affordable. Changed out my oil at the fraction of the price of the Acura Dealership as well as performing key maintenance on my car. Recommend to make an appointment because they're usually busy, which shows you how many loyal customers they have.

I have been taking my care to Aiwa for over 10 years. Having tried different shops in this area over the years, it was my lucky day when I found Aiwa. They are first of all trustworthy, but also accurate, friendly and fast. I would not take my cars anywhere else and have recommended them to my family and friends.You will not find a better repair place to take your car.

Aiwa Auto has been my go to mechanic for years now. I no longer have anxiety when I need repairs as they are trustworthy and actually very well priced. I regularly take my 2002 Audi Allroad there and my 2010 Mini Cooper S. This takes a huge stress off my life trusting a mechanic.

I will never take my cars anywhere else. I can't say enough about how honest and trustworthy they are. I could write a ton of positive superlatives and paragraphs of great experiences where Lee has bailed me out ... just take my word and go there. It isn't fancy when you see it, but they do the job the way it should be done.

I've been taking my suv here for years.I would never go anywhere else! They are honest, efficient, reliable and extremely reasonable. Being a woman I have paid for unnecessary work at unreasonable rates but I don't have to worry about that here! Ladies if you worry that you'll get ripped off because your a woman come here and never have to worry about that again!

Great repair shop! They looked at my car so quickly and were in regular contact with me. My truck had broken down on the freeway. They found the problem right away and didn't try to add all kinds of extra repairs, replacements, etc. like a lot of other places do. They are also friendly.
