Took my car on a recommendation from the insurance company and I m glad I did. Friendly people working there. Minor issue which was not their fault and they brought me back to talk through the process and helped we work through a mechanical problem. You cannot tell that the car was damaged, the work is that good.

On 08/18/2021 the Bureau of Automotive Repair- San Diego revoked the license of A & G Autobody & Details.If your insurance company suggests for you to take your car in to be repaired by this shop, I would be cautious. According to the Better Business Bureau, their license was revoked this year by the Bureau of Automotive Repair.My experience is as follows:Lack of responsibility: My estimate report was not submitted until 16 days (12 business days) after I took my car in for pictures and documentation.Lack of respect for your time: I booked my appointment for a month out and requested for time off to drop off my car. I was notified less than 24 hours before my appointment that my appointment needed to be rescheduled to another month out.Lack of transparency:1. The secretary, Michelle, said that the reason my appointment needed to be rescheduled was due to technicians falling sick but the owner, Marcos, told me it was due to Kemper Insurance claims sending over wrecked cars to their shop without any notice.2. They do not notify you before your appointment that they expect the FULL claim payment before they start any work on your car. The only form of payment they accept is cashier's check.3. They do not give you an estimate on how long your car will be in the shop.4. They do not give you an estimate on their "Tear Down" costs.5. They never contact you with updates. You will have to call to figure out what is happening with your car.I ended up taking my car back because of their unprofessionalism and unethical practices. The only service I used from their shop was to obtain an estimate.
