We had a good overall experience at Genesis of San Bruno. From test drive to purchase, it was a stress free experience. Hameed Safi was my salesperson and he was very helpful. The only issue I had was that I specifically mentioned wanting a car with a limited slip differential. Prior to purchase, I was told it had limited slip. Turns out it did not. I still bought the car as it had everything else I wanted and was within my budget. The process of trading in my old car was seamless. All in all, I'd recommend Genesis of San Bruno. They have some good people in place and are on the right track. I felt like I was indeed buying a luxury brand, as I've worked in luxury dealerships in the past (BMW, Porsche and Audi dealerships) and know what the experience should be. The dealership itself is large, clean, and had many new vehicles to choose from. It was similar to a BMW purchasing experience, and that's saying a lot.Tim Lofano, who is the GM, was also great to work with. He even followed up after purchase.

We had a great experience buying a 2024 Hyundai Tuscon from Kevan. We had negative experiences at several other local car dealerships, with the salespeople seemingly more interested in making the sale than looking out for the customer.Kevan, Emal, and the rest of the staff at the Genesis Hyundai dealership were the opposite. Kevan was very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and we never felt like he was trying to up-sell us (he even told us that a lower cost model was likely better for our needs). We would definitely recommend coming to the dealership when looking to buy a car - you can be confident you are in good hands with Kevan.

I had a great experience at Genesis of San Bruno! The entire staff at this dealership was very friendly and welcoming. The showroom was clean and well-organized. Our sales person Nick C was honest, upfront and knowledgeable. Before the purchase, Nick kept us informed about the new inventories at San Bruno and went above and beyond to search for the models we wanted from other dealerships he had relations with. A day after we purchased our GV70, he called us back to make sure everything was good. Our finance manager JV was also very nice and tried his best to get us a good rate and made everything go smooth. I highly recommend this dealship to anyone looking to purchase Genesis!

My husband and I bought the GV60 last with with Nick helping us out throughout the whole process. He was patient, knowledgeable and efficient. He answered all questions about a car brand we knew very little about and helped us gain the confidence and assurance we were getting a great car.

Our experience at Genesis of San Bruno was exceptional. The sales staff bent over backwards to be helpful and ensure we were comfortable with the process. They were extremely knowledgeable about the cars and were very efficient and respectful of our time. They didn t play games on pricing, and immediately gave us a great offer. We shopped at another dealership first and had the opposite experience, and are very glad we drove a little farther to buy from San Bruno. What we didn t know before going is that there had recently been a house cleaning of staff because of a poor reputation, and they certainly brought in the right people. Plus, the dealership is gorgeous, with a huge inventory of cars indoors. I hate buying cars, but I enjoyed the process thanks to Kevan (sales), Bruce (manager), and JV (finance). If my next car is another Genesis, my first call will be to them.

4/1/23: I like how they took over the Sears space, & you can walk the mall, see a movie , & take BART to & from the dealership. Lots of car choices. We'll see how premium & luxurious the service is though. We'll see. I don't want to make a big deal out of it yet, but I gave the manager my name & number. He said a specific salesman would contact me. The guy never called me! I will say that also happened with my service advisor at Porsche Marin when he was on vacation, so I don't want to get upset about the Genesis salesman not calling me, but it was annoying. I want to trade in my 2020 Porsche Macan for an award winning Genesis or possibly even the new 2023 IONIQ 6, which just won 3 international auto awards. It's the 2023 World Car of The Year!

We bought a GV70 from Genesis of San Bruno. Nick was the best salesman I've ever met. He explained every details about the car and helped us get the best deal. Also, he was very patient and tried to help. My first visit to get the quote was a month before purchasing this GV70. For that one month, he sent me updates for new GV70s and tried to help me to get my wanted car.Also, JV helped us to get the best deal to call the bank and worked on documents. We were so glad to meet them in Genesis of San Bruno.

I bought a car from them back in Oct 2023 and even to this day, I am having to call them because they did not give me all the paperwork.Dismal customer service. Until you buy the car, the account specialist and sales guy were so responsive via text messages and phone calls. And the moment they took my money, they completely ignored my phone calls and text messages, given they owed me the second set of keys and said it would be delivered to my home in two days.I had to make more than a dozen phone calls into the dealership and each time a new person picked up the phone in the sales department and promised to get the issue resolved and that they would call me back. But, nobody did.Also, the whole organization is so dysfunctional. I kept getting hopped around from Sales to Services to Parts department to sort such a trivial thing out.Finally, frustrated, I decided to drive to the dealership to sort the issues (had to drive 45 miles one way). And once I was there, the made me run around to the parts department to place the order, to the service department to get the keys programmed. And I am being asked to drive back to the dealership in 3 business days to pick up the keys!!There is no accountable person at this dealership. I had even reached out to Tony Behari, their General Sales Manager, but got no response.If you want good business and word of mouth marketing, you need to do better with your customer service, Genesis of San Bruno!

I came here to buy a used car, which is usually a hassle, but Travis made it as smooth as possible. He brought the car to my job so I could test drive it, understood what my budget was, and actually stayed within it (crazy, right?).I would ask for him if you have been having a hard time getting a used vehicle.

Service dept is terrible. As a Genesis owner, I'm supposed to get valet service, but it takes a month for an appointment. They rarely have any loaners available. I called 2 times and left messages for a specialist and nobody called me back. I called a 3rd time and asked for a manager. Then, I got put in direct contact with the specialist. They really need to step it up if they want to call themselves a luxury brand. Disappointed to say the least.

We had a really terrible experience at this place. We bought a car in September - it s December and we keep coming to their offices more often than we see our friends. Please don t ever come here.Initially there was a small hiccup where they didn t have a second key and asked us to come back to pick one up in a couple of days. We had to follow up a few times for us to get the second key. While the hassle was unnecessary I may not even be mentioning this if not for their finance dept.The finance department made us redraw our contracts 3 times. Yes 3 times and we still don t know if we re done this time. And it was never even initiated by Genesis. We kept following up asking why we haven t gotten any intimation for our payments. And everytime we d meet a new guy who would tell us an elaborate new story of how the previous person was let go. And every time there would be a new reason as to why finance application was never submitted in the first place. To make matters worse interest rates went up in the 4 months since we brought the car.Genesis is supposed to be a luxury brand, but we ve bought cheaper cars elsewhere and had very smooth experiences. This has been abysmal. Please please stay away for your own safety and peace of mind.

I just deleted a long, involved, negative review involving a not so incidental problem with the cash purchase of a 2024 Genesis GV70 as it was surprisingly quickly resolved. I had filed two negative reviews, was preparing another and opened a case with Genesis USA. I was embarking on an unpleasant journey when a new car purchase during the holidays should be a wonderful experience. While unexpected, I received a call from the dealership's new General Manager, Mike Murray. Still angry, I explained the situation, he patiently listened without contradicting me and was sympathetic with my position. Within ten minutes, he gladly agreed to refund the money in question, apologized for the situation, and this problem would be resolved with a visit to the dealer to pick up the check. While there, we met Mr. Murray and discovered he was just as nice in person as he was on the phone and that he was brought in to address the dealer problems that many of us have seen documented on this site. All I can say is Genesis makes some of the best cars on the market with an industry leading warranty and with the arrival of new General Manager, Mike Murray, I feel confident that any problems at the dealership will be successfully corrected to the customers' satisfaction. Now we can just enjoy our new car with no drama.

Changing to 1 star.It was a disaster while trying to solve the odometer issue with them, the issue that they have created. Constant empty promises and two weeks of phone calls to get their mistake/typo removed from my Carfax. Just unacceptable and disrespectful. Never again my foot will be in this dealership and never again I will by genesis. Enough is enough------ old review:First time in my ownership experience with Genesis I have received a service that I can "the service". Thank you. Tried different dealers before - no luck. San Bruno one is definitely the one I will be coming back to. Irving did a great job on my g70 maintainance and helped to clarify all the questions.Two recommendations:- please hire more people. Very hard to get an appointment and wait time is huge- clarify the loaner car availability and add an option to request one on the website. It is super confusing and frustrating since a customer doesn't know how to plan a day when surrendering a car for a service . Audi/bmw always has loaners available. Genesis should and can be better

Don t purchase a car from the genesis of San Bruno dealership!!! Literally the worst place, all they want is your money. I purchased a car from here, The sleasy salesman Fady sold me the LoJack security system and said can get it set up on the car today when purchased. Bought the car that day and then after signing all the paperwork, they said the person to install the LoJack is out and would have to come back a different day. And my car ended up getting stolen and when I asked for the refund for the LoJack payment back because I didn t have that service installed. They said they can t help me since when I purchased the vehicle they put the charge for the LoJack under "paint and interior premier", they couldn t refund me because it doesn t look like I ever purchased it. I ve called over 50 times, then eventually they said they will refund me but then after they just lied and stopped helping me and just ignore all my calls. Save yourself from the stress and don t buy your car from here!!! Once you buy the car and they already took your money, they will switch up and never help you again. Literally any other dealership is better than this one, I honestly don t know how they haven t got shut down yet!!!

I Purchased, a car at the dealership that Genesis had to buy back. That was a pretty smooth, but long process I bought extended warranty through this dealership now that it s time to return the money no one returns my calls. No one is doing anything about it to help a very bad customer service would avoid this place at all cost should not have to get national involved. When is the local issue but I have. It s bad when your finance manager says he will take care of it and over a week later is still hasn t been fixed. Left messages for several different managers in this branch. No one s ever return my call. Do you have to physically go down to the dealership to get anybody s attention?

Shoutout to Fred for providing the best service humanly possible. He put up with me changing my mind a couple of times, but in the end he was able to get me a great deal on my new Genesis. He didn't have to, but Fred put in the extra effort so I was satisfied with the deal when I walked out the door.Seriously if you are looking for a new Hyundai or Genesis ask for Fred.5/5 stars. The only reason I left 4 stars originally is because Google keeps on deleting the 5 star ones for some reason.

I was initially going to purchase GV70 from Genesis of Stevens Creek where I had agreed on the purchase price, trade-in allowance and did the credit check. Then they told me that they have a problem with GV70 with a dead battery and couldn't fix it. Few weeks have passed and they even stopped contacting me.I got frustrated and went to Genesis of San Bruno where Fred took care of everything. I got to the dealership 30 min before the closing time and Fred waited to accommodate me. He was very professional, not pushy and got the exact model that I was looking for. The entire car buying process took just over 1 hour and I was really impressed by the speed and process that Fred and finance manager was able to pull off. Thank you so much for making the car buying process a simple, painless and enjoyable experience. Thank you Genesis of San Bruno!

My experience of purchasing the 2024 Genesis GV70 was overall a great experience. What made the experience overall great was because of how they responded to my concerns when things didn t go as well as it should have.With regards to the purchase of the car, it went on pretty smoothly. Raj was very helpful in a lot of ways. He made himself available. He followed through from start to finish and listened to my complaints. He checked up on us a lot of times to see if we had any more concerns. Liz was very funny and took the time to sit down with us to do the financial transaction part.After the purchase, we were so excited to be able to use the car. However, we ran into problems with the car when we came to pick it up a few days later. It didn t allow us to drive it over 20mph. We had to take it back to the dealer. Roberto, the manager, explained that it was in transport mode. Since it was closing time and there was no technician available, he offered to have us drive another car while they try to have the technician check if the car is drivable the next day. Because we decided just to take Uber home instead, he offered to reimburse us with the Uber rides and deliver the car to our home which was very convenient. The delivery was late and I did have to call and check to see what was the hold up. They responded quickly and got it delivered right away after the call. Cristal even called back a few days later to see how things are. I had told her of the unfortunate incident with the car on transport mode and that they delivered the car late. She sincerely apologized for the mishap and tried to make it up to me. I had mentioned to her that the car had marks on the exterior when I received the delivery. She offered to get the car detailed again. I also highly appreciate that she went above and beyond for me. She wasn t supposed to be working on the day that I showed up to get my car detailed but came to see me to make sure everything was good. I brought up my question about the digital key and the fingerprint authentication. She was honest to tell me that she doesn t know yet but she will get back to me after talking to the technician .Will be waiting to hear from her. For now, I m loving the car and enjoying the drive. Despite a few hiccups, I would still give it 5 stars. The staff have made the experience of purchasing a car from them all so worth it. Thank you to the staff of Genesis of San Bruno!

Came here on a Thursday afternoon and there were literally zero customers other than me, with something like 10 salespeople in the showroom. I asked the receptionist to sit in a Genesis GV70, to which she winced and said "Oh that might be tough! Ask those salesmen in the back!" Without offering to help me contact a salesman.This response was extremely puzzling because there were THREE GV70's 20 feet to my left. Being extremely confused, I asked her whether all these were sold? No they weren't! Ok so can I sit in them? Yeah, if they're unlocked, go for it! It's like she got there 30 seconds before me and didn't notice these cars had windows down, sunroofs open, and obliviously hadn't seen anybody get into these cars (they were all unlocked floor models).So I proceeded to sit in a couple cars and look around thinking someone would come see if I had any questions. 4 cars and 15 minutes later, after walking by literally 10 staff, nobody had spoken a word to me. Not even hi! Much less, can I help you?One extra star for good inventory but these guys want to compete with BMW and Mercedes? They're probably going to need to hire at least one verbal salesperson...

Recently got my Genesis G70 here about a couple weeks ago and the process was fairly easy and simple, which can be attributed to Fred being so helpful and friendly.He was willing to accommodate a pretty short notice about the car I want (in the exact trim and color I wanted) and was helpful in guiding me through the process. It was a very busy day for them when I got my car and he was very patient and very friendly towards me when going over the process. Fred was also very helpful in showing me all what the G70 can do and kept in touch with me afterwards to see if I had any issues or questions (which were none because the car is pretty awesome).Overall, been enjoying the new ride as well as appreciative of Fred's helpfulness and friendliness with the whole ordeal. 10/10 would recommend.

I had the best experience buying from Fady! His costumer service was the best! I had a fun and easy time purchasing my new vehicle! I would buy again definitely if I could. He was very patient, knowledgeable, respectful. He answered all of my excessive questions. It was a great experience. Amal was also super helpful in the whole process. The team and Genesis of San Bruno was excellent. Everyone is super nice and approachable without pressuring.

This is my first Genesis and will be my last. I purchased a GV70 electric from Cristal. There was a dent in the car when I went to pick it up. Note, this car was brand new. The manager said they would repair it and have it delivered to me. They gave me a loaner in the meantime which I thought was great. I drove the loaner a few miles away and the car died. The manager came by and gave me another car for the night. They stopped by the following day with the original loaner. They said they had to replace the car battery - note it too was a new car. I have been extremely patient and understanding. On the day they were supposed to drop off my car they never messaged. I called them and when they finally responded they said they would not be able to make the delivery. They said they would deliver it the next day, which they did. The driver, however, did not drop off the car where we were supposed to meet because he said it was inconvenient for him. He said I had to drive out of my way to meet him, which I did. When I arrived I saw the dent was fixed but a new mark appeared near where the original dent was. I texted it to Cristal and no reply. The car was also not set up so I could not access Genesis Connect. I have called and texted every day since trying to reach Cristal and the managers (Tony being named by an employee). Cristal said she would set it up the next morning, which never happened. No one has responded or called and 1 week later I am still not able to log into the car or app because they have not called to set up my account. Genesis is not able to help me. This is the worst service I have ever experienced and I am finally coming here because I cannot use my brand new car the way it should be. Do not buy from this dealer and I am not convinced Genesis is the way to go either based on the issues.
