The process was pretty smooth getting my th 400 from 1968 all redone for my gmc. I haven't driven it yet but I'll update when I do.

I had blown my transfer case at the bottom of the Cajon Pass in California. I did a quick search of the nearest transmission shops and Lou's was 11 miles away. I was able to limp the truck over to Lou's and Terry quickly looked up my options and it wasn't looking very good as the transfer case was in need of a replacement. Being that it was a Saturday, nothing could be done until Monday. I was stuck in California and needed to get back home to Canada as soon as possible. Terry allowed me to park my big trailer in front of his shop and gave me a ride to a hotel. On Monday, I had a heavy duty transfer case overnighted from Michigan as a GM unit would eventually fail as well. The replacement unit showed up Tuesday morning. Terry and Chris made quick work of the R & R and I was back on the road. The low labor rate and promptness far exceeded my expectations. They could have easily taken advantage of the situation like a lot of shops do to stranded out of country customers. I know if I ever run into any issues again in SoCal, this is where I will go.

Terry Lou has always been an honest mechanic. I've used him for 2 decades . Never over priced me always did great work . Very knowledgeable

Great personal service. They fixed a bunch of small stuff for free. Also gave me the best price around for my transmission rebuild. Terry is the man .

This mechanic is in my neighborhood and I always take my vehicles here when I have any questions or need any type of service. It is not Beyond him to give recommendations if the job is not in his area. Great place was honest service

Still having trans issues after two ok months..I've taken it back twice and still not working properly....I'm going to try one more time and see if they can get it right.Ill update in a couple of weeks

Went to get my transmission seals replaced since it was leaking they replaced and i took home and still was leaking took back he asked i leave it till next day he said he just tightened bolts n should be good still leaks now i have to fix my self or take somewhere else not going back for-sure was recommended here by friends not a go to place for meService: Transmission
