Best Gas when you need it most . almost run out of gas. prices are little bit expensive its supply and demand on rural farm road. regular was sold out only mid grade and diesel was available. old manual pump. Owners are nice . place was pretty dark dusty road. Horrible toilet for paying customer all they got is a smelly portable potty outside.

Great place for a convenience store think 7/11 and apu from the simpsons. Ya it's not the greatest but they do have decent burritos and lots of drink choices. Yes it might be a little over priced but think of how much more you might spend in gas going to the next town. This was nice to have near Williams Hill Recreation since the cafe across the street closed early.

I was in this town in 1995 to provide security service for my buddy's wedding in the only hall room that they have there bcuz he thought cholos would be an issue during his reception. To his surprise, those guys stayed away and did not bother us at all. Of course, we were legally loaded just in case....lol good town anyways.

San Ardo is a tiny little town without much to its name. This store is about what you'd expect for a town like that, but I like it nonetheless. There are a couple of porta-potties outside which were greatly appreciated given that the rest stop to the south was closed (WHY?). The gas pumps are probably about 50 years old and you have to talk to the woman inside to prepay. Gas prices are on the high side so I just got $20 worth. We did find a few snacks to hold us over and the woman behind the counter was as sweet as the fruits they grow in the area. If you need to gas and/or go, San Ardo is your best option because it's about your only option.

One pump more or less working, mid-grade only. Good for emergency fueling.

Very nice customer service, for a small rural store in the middle of nowhere they had what we needed. Ice and cold drinks. Thanks!

Horrible and unfriendly service. Rest stops on this route are closed and we were directed to this location as nearest gas station and rest area. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 20 minutes to next gas station. No rest rooms in the store, we were directed to the restaurant across the street . Who is same owner by the way. Did not want to allow my 87 year old Mom to use the restroom. When I asked to buy water so I was a paying customer straight up lied about not having water when I could clearly see it in the cooler. I called him out on it and purchased 3 bottles. He reluctantly had to open up bathroom for my Mom. Felt uneasy.

Funky little old gas station and market, we needed use of a restroom and used their outdoor portable toilets. Got some red bull and snacks and got back on the road. Friendly service. Love that places like these still exist.

They weren't able to sell desired grade due to mechanical problems (?), so I felt some tension in salesperson attitude. Nevertheless, gas was good and and I was pleased to get some of it when having shortage.

There s absolutely nothing nearby - and if you re a Rea emergency looking for a restroom they won t help, neither will the restaurant across the street. I think they should rent a porta potty and charge $5 to use. I would have paid more!

Nice cashier, no 91 octane, ancient pumps that don't take credit cards, no bathroom, just filthy outhouses

The very last chance to get gas if you're on fumes like we were trying to get to Pismo Beach which was another hour away!! PortaPotties are located outside for public use at this Gas station . Also Gas is a little higher than other well known gas stations but worth it because it saved us from being stuck & stranded in the boonies on Hwy 1 South. The store has snacks, gas and friendly service in this small, quaint, quiet town.

Odd to write a review about a small little gas station in a small little town, right? Not really when you consider that we really needed gasoline and this little town appeared like a jewel out of nowhere. The best part (outside of not getting stranded ;) was the fact that the people were so darn nice! The gas station attendant was incredibly kind and even though I completely spaced out and forgot which pump she turned on for me - she remained calm and sweet and helpful. They had premium gas and a little store - and wouldn't you know it - we needed to stop at the post office during our road trip - and right across the street was the smallest post office I've ever been too - with yes, you guessed it, the nicest lady working there. San Ardo is a jewel of a town and it is totally worth mentioning and totally worth a 5 star review. In this day and age - l love me some happy people!

We pulled in well after closing (Google said it was the closest gas station, I guess I should specify open ) and there was no way to pay at the pump. The owner was sweet enough to open the door and let us get some gas so we could get home.

The clutch went out in my vehicle. The people here were very nice and helpful. They couldn't fix the clutch but they helped us in every way possible. It was a very long day. The food was great in the cafe across the street too. It's owned by the same lady.

This place was ok. Out of 6 pumps, only 2 worked, and they dispensed only mid-grade gas. There are no mortar bathrooms, and out of 2, only one port-a-potty was open. By 4:00 pm, there was barely half a carafe of coffee available. But they take credit cards. And they sell lottery tickets. The attendant was polite :)

A gas station in a tiny town of about 500 people. The cashier was nice enough to make sure I selected the correct pump since these were old skool pumps that will only give you one kind of gas. Glad that it was there. I was riding on E since just before King City and was worried I was about to be stranded. I was happy to be able to find that station.

So nice to have a place to get fuel between San Miguel and King City. Clerk's are always helpful and friendly. Lots of good snacks. I stop everyone I ride through. Just want to make sure I do my part to make sure they survive. No restroom but porta potty outside

Great in a pinch! Nothing else around for miles. Old gas pumps, but they work (at least when we stopped there), small general store to pick up drinks and snacks and port-a-potty out front if you really gotta go. Just plan to hold your breath if you do. Not necessarily dirty, just well used on the day we were there.

There is no bathroom, but you can find one across the street. Guy at the station is friendly and helpful, but you are visiting the country and going to pay with some non-american card, prepare for it to get locked by your bank - the station's reader seems to be off in some way. This area can get a bit spooky late at night, since there are almost no streets lights.

The woman boss is pretty pretty nice. I am there not for gas, but instant noodles. As you know there's no forks inside the noodles, so I asked for. What she did was open the whole package for me and didn't charge me. And the water, she just directly open one bottle and didn't intent to charge( but I needed it cause my friend need so finally I paid for it). Btw, she has a lovely baby, so cute~ I don't know your name, but god bless you.

Our tire sensors went on and exited at the closest gas station. The guy was so nice to us. He checked all tire pressures. Turns out it was just a glitch, made us feel much better about driving home!

There is a portable toilet outside that you can use. That was a plus as we were just passing through off the 101 making a pit stop.

I give a 5 stars for the customer service. I was lost a couple days ago I stoped here and this guy approached me saying you need help with anything ? While he was sweeping outside. He gave me directions to where I was going. You guys have a great and wonderful worker. I don t remember his name well but it was something with a Chris Curi Curry Curtis something like that.Thank you San Ardo Liquor for helping me get back on my way

Travel US west coast cities during Christmas and new year holiday. Past this gas station, friendly and helpful staff. It has a great range of snack choices.
