I hired Sons / Marcos auto body to repair a crashed car years ago, the body work was great but the paint and the small details weren t so great. I complained about run marks, blotchy metallic paint on the hood, over spray etc. I figured since they were doing me a favor and at a discounted price (because I was recommended by a mutual friend) that the work wasn t that great because it was cheap.Fast forward to present. I send my friend over to them to have his Volvo rear quarter panel repaired, which they did a great job on that part. My friend paid extra to have the entire car repainted since they were already painting more than half the car to blend the other panels. I was there with my friend when we picked up the car, just like before it was the same thing, blotchy metallic, run marks, over spray, paint on the rubber trim around the windows, they forgot to cut and buff the lower section of both doors on one side of the car, and the sand marks on panels that didn t have sand marks before.for $7,000 I would expect the car to look new. We complained and brought the car back at another date to have everything fixed. Unfortunately their fix didn t fix the sand marks in the paint, or the blotchy marks in the metallic, or the paint on the rubber trim/seals around the windows. They did fix the run marks, and the orange peel on the lower doors. For a restoration shop that does hot rods, advertises collision repair and charged us $7,000 which was supposedly a discount I expected it to be a lot better than my previous experience with my other car that I brought them but it s the same thing all over again. Attention to detail is lacking.I had them quote me to repaint my friends Mercedes, the quote was $8,000, the red flag for me was that when I asked if the car was going to look amazing afterwards, his response was I mean it will look pretty good doesn t seem very confident or make me feel confident on choosing them to repaint a sentimental car that my friend inherited from his grandma. Now after my friend Volvo is finished I m afraid of what the metallic paint would look like on the Mercedes after already having two other cars turn out blotchy and with sand marks, which would require the car to be repainted entirely to fix it correctly.My friend and I were pretty clear from the beginning on how meticulous we both are about our cars and to bring the car back and have the car leave the shop for a second time with sand marks and blotchy paint says it all.3 strikes your out.Service: Painting

My daughter's Honda Fit was rear-ended Friday evening, July 29. Our insurance company, CSAA, emailed me some paperwork before I went to bed that very night. The insurance estimator was at my house early Monday morning for the estimate and told me to take it to a shop of our choice. Tuesday morning I took it to Marcos Auto Body, and they had an estimate sent to the insurance adjuster later that day. This morning I picked up the car to bring it home all repaired and shiny new! The folks at Marcos Auto Body are the best--fair and easy to work with. I highly recommend them!Service: Body & Trim
