Best thing to happen to my Volkswagen since Chet&Cliffs closed down! They really give excellent service, have affordable prices, and expedited my repairs so I barely lost a weekend.

There have been two occasions when driving my VW syncro through California to Syncro fest or to San Diego for a family visit that I've found a need for help on the road within 80 miles of Sacramento. Using VanAlert app I found Kombi Haus and the help from Jason and his team to be excellent. Both times in an out in the course of a day. Transmission dropped, pressure plate and clutch replaced, new slave cylinder (what had failed) installed, new transmission oil, a general check up and I was on my way again. Great service and fair price. The shop is pretty cool to see even if you don't need work. Jason has a great collection of old bikes on display. I highly recommend Kombi Haus!

How many times have I brought my VW in for the same problem, without any resolution to the problem 4 times...The people are great, but the conviction to solving the mystery is zilch....I would only bring my VW back, for simple fixes, that won't challenge, a non-curious mind.

Ladies (and gents) - listen up because this is your automotive shop!! These guys are great!!I had to get a bunch of work done, I priced them against others and they were very reasonable. But more importantly, they presented me with options, and helped me make the best decision for me- invaluable. They got the work done quickly, were in good communication with me, and I ve had NO follow up problems with my car.I trust them what a great feeling!! Give these guys a try!

I have been taking my cars here for a years now. Everyone here is great and super knowledgeable about VW/Audis. I would much rather support and indie shop over the dealership. Unfortunately in the past year their rates for inspections and labor have become uncompetitive compared to what my dealership

Great shop, the service writer/advisor was extremely knowledgeable of what my car was doing and what needed to be fixed, he even said what was needed for repairs, his technician confirmed it, and had it fixed while I waited! Everyone there is extremely nice, and I never feel like I've been ripped off or anything like that. They're reasonable with pricing compared to other shops including the dealership, and get your car fixed quickly and neatly. I'll definitely be back!

In town from across the country. Fast oil change, super friendly service. Awesome collection of vehicles in the shop.Cheyne went above and beyond - solid advice for some dieselgate warranty stuff, and forwarded over pictures of the leaking turbo seal. 10/10

Owner and some staff know VWs for sure, and they do good work for the most part, but I had at least one not-so-good result. Brought my Jetta in for fluid leak that was puddling under right-front of my car. They did a bunch of other expensive but needed repairs and said they didn't find any leaking fluid. I was adding coolant daily!? Brought it back later and they replaced a cracked coolant hose that was leaking, which tells me they didn't look closely the first time. I think it depends on what mechanic you get; some are probably better than others. They seem pretty expensive too but most are.

If you own a VW and live in Sac why would you go anywhere else?? Kombi Haus is the only Haus for my car other than home!

I went to Kombi Haus after Niello Audi gave me a quote that seemed a bit ridiculous. I wanted an honest second opinion and was referred to Kombi Haus by an acquaintance of mine. I am glad I went here! They were able to fix the most immediate problem at a fraction of the cost (and I'm sure with more care than Niello). After I picked up my car I thought there was another issue that needed to be addressed and they told me to come right back. Turns out it was a non-issue but Justin still took time to walk around my car with me and patiently explain some aspects of my car to watch for in the future. Super appreciate the solid work and friendly service! Will be taking my car here for all future check-ups and issues!

Love this place!!! Justin is honest, professional and fair. A job that was gonna cost me thousands of dollars cost me nothing because he took the time to research and found out there was a recall and sent me to the dealership. This act of integrity has insured that a long as I have a VW, Kombi Haus has my business

Second time bringing a car in - these guys are the most knowledgeable in the field by far. Very honest with their work and pricing, would recommend highly. Bring anything air-cooled or water cooled here, and they'll have a guy that specializes in whatever it is, I bet.

Classic VW's to new and modern. Body work to all levels of mechanical work, Kombi Haus should be on your list of go to places.Kind, honest people with your car/bus needs in mind. I bring my VW's from out of state and never regret the trips. My 1970 bus and my 1971 DBL cab love it here... If they would work on my Trucks, I'd bring them too

So far, I'm very impressed. They answer the phone, call back, and follow through. I got the tour today. They have a very solid and amazingly complete (almost over the top) operation for Vanagons and Westy's (other VWs, Porsches too). My impression is that no job is too big, and I mean NO JOB! I'll update later once they finish with some suspension mods on my 2wd Westy.

So, as we were driving down from the (cursed) Mt. Shasta summit (our family has a history of vehicles dying here) in our 1990 VW Vanagon Westfalia we kept hearing a clunking noise in the rear of the van, and my fear was that it was a CV joint, so as we came into Sacramento I was looking up repair shops with the awesome VanAlert app. We called and talked to their shop who said they'd do whatever they could to help so we pointed directly to them. We arrived around 2:30, they checked it out and sure enough we needed new CVs. The owner was so amazing, trying to make it happen today but said they really needed a few hours to do it right and we didn't disagree knowing how much work CVs are. Justin went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of, comfortable, understood the issue and how they would solve it, and to help us resume our trip ASAP! There is something pretty special happening at Kombi Haus, if your VW needs help and you come here you will be in amazingly capable hands.

Travelling from Canada to the Baja we were so fortunate to have met Kerry and Kerner who saved our trip. They were very friendly and helpful in diagnosing and repairing the worn CV joints on our 95 EuroVan Rialta. All the work was discussed with us beforehand, timelines for the repair and the final cost was very reasonable. We highly recommend this shop and found them to be knowledgeable and trustworthy.

Justin (the owner of Kombi Haus) and his team are beyond experts & you will be lucky to need their help if you are in the Sacramento area.Let me start from the beginning of the story... We heard a repetitive clunking noise that matched the rpms (when braking & turning) of our 1990 VW Vanagon this morning as we drove south on I-5, through the Mt. Shasta area. We were worried it was a CV joint. We were aiming south on the second day of our 3 week trip.We called and Justin and his staff took care of us from then on. He told us to "bring it in & we'll give it a look right away". He recommended an amazing Mexican restaurant for lunch, so we could relax while they diagnosed our van. As we finished our lunch Justin personally gave us a call and told us the diagnosis over the phone, "new CV joints" just as we had expected from the noise. His staff offered to fix the problem the same day, but recommended that we wait until the next day (we rolled into town really late in the day) to do both CV joints and repair it all the right way rather than it being a patch job. We didn't disagree (CVs take time to do right) and said that they should take their time and do both CV joints the next day.Justin researched online to find the best parts for us at the best price and made it all happen quickly. We are so thankful to have stumbled onto Kombi Haus, Justin and their amazing staff!

I took my vw jetta to Kombi Haus to get my brakes down because i just had my car fully serviced and the dealership said i needed new brake pads. Well at that time i didnt have the money on me cause service at the dealership is kinda pricey... So i decided to go to Kombi Haus in hopes of saving some money. Well first off they charged me a way different price then i was qouted. Then they tell me that i need new rotors and wheel bearings and that my wheel could fall off so it should not be driven unless it was done cause it was dangerous. I told them that i just had a full maintenance service done at the dealer ship and that they inspected my car fully and said all i needed was brake pads.. The guy got rude and told me that i was insulting his knowledge of cars. And that i was a girl and didnt kmow what i was talking about. I then noticed a dent in my rear driver door with a bad scratch that i know for a fact was not there. So i asked how it got there and they said it was my fault and when i left one of my brake pads were grinding. Dont go there these people are crooks! And thieves and are trying to take advantage of people.

Best shop for keeping your Audi or Vw on the road. These guys know what they're doing and you can trust their findings and future recommendations. Car problems are expensive most of the time and they tell you what you need now and things to prepare for in the future, where you aren't feeling ripped off. Regular maintenance prevents a lot of problems from happening. I wish I knew that 20 years ago...haaha

Unreal. These guys know air-cooled like nobody else. Shasta trips leave from here. Everyone is super knowledgeable without being d***s about it (I'm looking at you Samba members!) Wish I lived closer but plan to stop by every time I head south. Wish I could give them 8 stars!!!
