Very nice and straightforward people. They took the time to explain to me why they were recommending the repair. They also inspected my vehicle and sent me a complimentary electronic inspection. Very communicative and they do text as well! The facilities are kept clean and organized compared to most shops. Would recommend to anyone looking for a easy going, honest and efficient car repair shop.

Very chill place. Came in for a pre-purchase inspection, they got it done quick, no hassle, at the posted price. Even had some background music in the form of one of the workers playing guitar. Would come again.

I came here for an emergency flat tire. Ray immediately came out to greet me, checked where the tire was losing air and the team fixed it within 20 minutes. I highly recommend this shop for their service, trust and knowledge.Service: TiresService: Tires

Honest auto should really be called Dishonest auto This establishment is closed on Sundays. My family and I were attending the Pride event that was taking place on a Sunday. The parking lot to Dishonest Auto was open, nothing was blocking access to it so we decided to park there (since they were closed). We came back 2 hours later after the event to find a car blocking one exit and the other exit chained off. The garage door to the business was open and there were 2 guys cussing and yelling at us. Telling us we only have 2 options to leave their lot 1) Pay towing fees to get our car out or 2) Give them $20 to park there We immediately apologized and said hey we didn t think it would be a problem to park here since your business is closed on Sundays One guy stated my dad told me to come out here and collect My husband is a disabled Veterans (wearing a disabled Veterans hat) on a mobility scooter and these 2 men continue to be very hostile and aggressive. Due to the aggressive behavior of these 2 men we didn t want any problems and gave them $20 to leave their lot. We were in shock that a business would behave in such a matter towards local citizens. This business had several choices to handle this situation. 1) secure your lot in advance, so people can t get in. 2) sit out there and open up your lot and collect $20 to park at your establishment 3) let people park there since your business is closed. Instead they choice too become upset and behave aggressively when locals parked in their lot for an event. If this is how they treat people out enjoying the downtown area I would never trust them with my car.

The mechanics here are so helpful and awesome. I was traveling through, and people stayed overtime to help me. I couldn't have been more grateful. Because of them I was able to get back on the road that night. They ordered parts for me and everything, to help me as efficiently as possible.

I parked here for Pride and they held my car hostage. Very rude, wouldn't let me have my car until they extorted 20 dollars from me. Very rude people, incredibly hostile.

These guys are awesome. After an accident a few years ago I noticed a scraping whenever I turned, got it diagnosed at a shop in Davis where I live and the estimates they gave me for repairs seemed extremely high so I called around and eventually found Honest Auto Care and boy do they live up to their name! I saved well over $500 by bringing my car here and they even found issues that the other place hadn't so they replaced that too promptly and at a fair price. My car hasn't driven so smooth since I got it. I will be bringing my car here whenever I need repairs for as long as I live in the area.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Needed to smog our van but engine light was on. My scan said it was a emission system problem. I researched it and had an idea what parts it could be and how to test it. Honest Auto Care took all the right steps replaced a valve and gasket in the gas tank. I felt they were very "honest" as their name says. They communicated well every step of the way and did it in a timely matter. Gene was extremely friendly and professional. My neighbor asked me today if I new a good mechanic and I gave him their name.

I parked in their lot for the pride parade. Upon return. The owner had put a chain up an blocked the other entrance with a car..As a disabled vet on a mobility scooter I had to maneuver to get in the lot..There were several other vehicles there also..The owners were very rude and demanded either we pay $20 or have our vehicles towed.. In my opinion m, they should or could have just manned their lot and charged prior instead of holding our vehicles hostage after the fact..This was very unbussinesslike.

A number of lights came on my car (abs,vsa, etc). Juan helped me and took the time explain the different tests he ran. I appreciate his time and sincerity in trying to figure out the problem. I've also gone here for an AC repair and a smog check and have always had a positive experience. As someone who doesn't know much about cars, it's always worrisome to go to a mechanic in fear of being ripped off. But that's not the case here and I'm thankful I found them! If you need help with your car, don't hesitate!

They take care of you. They live up to their name. Gene is very professional and Juan is amazing. They do my oil changes and any needed maintenance on my Nissan and my wife s Honda. Gene and the staff here are fabulous and really saved me. My vintage JDM van broke down outside of Sacramento while on a road trip with my family and no one wanted to work on it. They immediately took it on and I had it back within a week.Super communicative, fair prices and really nice people.

Honest Auto Care was great!! I had wheel alignment done on my minivan by this shop almost a year ago and recently I was told from another repair shop that the alignment was off. I went to Honest Auto Care today to have the wheels checked and they realigned the wheels, at no charge!! This is what I call excellent customer service!I totally recommend Honest Auto Care for auto repairs and I will return for future services!

Not only do they live up to their name but they are probably the best mechanics I've ever had. While they are extremely busy I've never seemed to have to wait many days before getting a vehicle in for service and repairs. Gene and his team are amazing!

Nice place, and good workers. I needed a new catalytic converter for my car and they had it ready to install in 2 days. The mechanic Felipe was professional and he explained to me things that could cause my catalytic converter to not be working and why I was getting my check engine light. The only weird thing that happened was he told me over the phone that the job would cost $560 but when I got there and the job was done, he asked me for $570. I couldnt tell if it was an honest mistake or something else. Still though I recommend this place, these guys are nice and seem to know what they're talking about

Great service and excellence in all of it's name. Mr. Phillips, a great man, who is actually a college professor is the owner and employee of this place, he is very knowledgeable, positive and friendly, had a great time during his classes and learned a lot. He is honest, this place is honest, two things hard to find these days. He gave me a lot of tips and showed me the ways to do my own services on my cars, I highly recommend visiting his shop for any problem your vehicle might have, he has the tools and computer data to do just about anything, plus he is certified in a lot of fields since he's worked for state and national boards and associations. Plus he's not as expensive as other mechanics around the area!

This is my second time here and I would recommend Honest Auto Care to anyone!They live up to their name. They are honest and they don't push you to sell you their other services which I really appreciate. They also have extremely reasonable pricing and break down the cost by labor and part costs. They also let me know that one of my belt was cracked which I wouldn't have even noticed myself. I'm going here for all my auto repairs for sure.

We brought our Mazda here after learning MaxCare (warranty through CarMax) is contracted with these guys. They advised my fianc� that the car needs a new transmission and they would have to contact whoever they need to contact to approve the repair. MaxCare covered our rental and after speaking with Gene he explained that our car would be ready the following Wednesday, we brought our car in on a Monday I believe. We waited til Wednesday to get our rental cause MaxCare only covers 7 days. When we followed up with Gene the following Tuesday he had explained that the dealership he ordered the transmission from didn t put in the order so it was gonna be another week before we got our car back. MaxCare refused to pay for the additional 9 days even though Gene had called and explained to them what was happening. We had to come out of pocket for the rental but Gene told us he would reimburse us for the rental once we picked up our car! We came out of pocket about $350 for the rental and when I picked up my car Gene wrote me a check for the cost. It was just such an awesome thing for him to do because I personally feel a lot of auto body shops wouldn t give a damn. It was a relief knowing we would get that money back since $$ was tight to begin with! Will definitely recommend these guys because customer service was just awesome and our car is back to her old self again!!

These good people from HAC figured out the problem with my 2017 Honda Ridgeline suspension which AutoNation Honda failed to diagnose. If i could give this repair shop a 20 star i would, this repair shop is EXCELLENT, professional & Knowledgeable they really know what their doing I have no complaints...They really live up to their name "HONEST" this is going to my new repair shop as it was my 1st time here...I couldnt say enough good things about them....Thank you so much Gene, Juan & the whole Honest Auto Care team you guys are the true definition of a Honest auto repair shop. Honest is a great way to describe this auto repair shop. The staff took care of me and I had fun chatting with the twins, Angela and Dustine. They made coffee for me which put a smile on my face. I brought in my Kia Optima Hybrid today for a new battery. I had been experiencing bad car karma when I looked online to find Honest Auto Care (HAC) through RepairPal. A bad day turned into something divinely ordered by the universe. Thanks HAC.
