2024. Opened a claim with insurance and they recommended me this shop. Fuel tank got vandalized so I had to get it replaced. They replaced the fuel tank and a bunch of check engine light came on. They gave me a call to give them a good review as soon as I left the shop. Took the car back to the shop and they didn t even fix it. A bunch of emission problems and they just deleted the code like I didn t know. Next day check engine light came on again. I do not recommend this shop. They may sound professional but their work is not. Problem on the car is still not resolved. They never contacted us again.

This shop used to be Natomas Auto Body. I was a repeat customer there and was always happy with them. My first experience at this location as Gerber though has been not good at all.Back in June, I backed into a tree and did some minor damage to my car so I went to Natomas Auto Body to get an estimate. I finally decided I would go through with the repairs on my own and not go through insurance so on Monday, August 14th, I went into the shop to see that it has changed ownership to Gerber. I gave them my estimate from June but the gentleman at the front desk said they would have to enter everything into the new Gerber system but that someone would get back to me in a day or so. By Thursday of that week I hadn't heard anything so I called and was told that the person who would do this kind of thing has been out sick all week but that someone would get back to me when it was done.Fast forward to August 22nd and I decided to go into the shop again since I live in the area. I spoke with the same gentleman working the front desk and this time he says they are only working with people who go through their insurance and not pay out of pocket. Honestly, this makes no sense to me whatsoever, but this couldn't have been communicated to me when I initially brought my estimate in or when I called? I'm convinced that had I not gone into the shop again, no one would have ever contacted me about this at all.If the same techs that did the auto body work for Natomas Auto Body still work there, then they are solid techs that do good work, but based on my first experience there, the service at Gerber absolutely sucks. If you're looking for a body shop that provides service and solid work, look elsewhere.
