Amazing service and fast turnaround time. I'm a full time mechanic and he taught me some things I didn't know. Let me know exactly what I need to do so I don't mess anything up. Had a great conversation and enjoyed the customer service. Strongly recommend Dels!!

Dave will make sure your items are machined at the highest quality and in the fastest time frame I have found in the area. This is where other machine shops send the items theu can't fix.

I always used this place for machine work in the past and they did great. No complaints. Thats why I give 5 stars in case they are still in business and just temporarilly closed...recently I called and got no answer and drove down there during business hours and it was locked up. So not sure if they are still open but long story short I had a cylinder head I was 90% sure was cracked and leaking coolant. I took it to the machine shop on fair oaks since dels was closed and had it pressured tested and he said it was good....then I got a second opinion from the carquest machine shop on Fee drive. Explained the situation to Scott and he tested it same day and found it was cracked and sent video and pictures...so anyone looking for the same quality work as Dels was I highly recommend going to the carquest on Fee. Just my .02 cents

Del's has been issuing perfect machine work for the past 15 years for me. About 12 years ago i heard a customer paid $750 for a simple cylinder head job and thats when i realized the difference. Its worth it when you can guaruntee that your job goes perfectly here we are 12 years later and the car runs as perfect as it did coming home from the dealership. Del's is about quality. And thats all that matters.

Del's Auto is an amazing little machine shop. I spoke with Dave there. I sent my B16A2 (Honda Engine) to them for a complete refresh (Head and Block). They were able to get the job done in an extremely fast manner. Great communication and they are always helpful if you have questions about rebuilding the engine. They offer a service of assembling the bottom end for a very affordable price. I would highly recommend Del's for your automotive machining needs. Engines, brake rotors, flywheels, stripped bolt holes.. you name it. Very reasonable prices.

I brought a 03 4runner v8 motor and was not fixable. The cylinder head was overheated so much that Del recommended me to just get a used motor than to repair the heads. I got a used motor for 800 at the recycling yards and was running again. He says the repairs or just heads would be 1500 to 2000.Great knowledgeable guy.

Dave was so helpful in explaining everything along the way while rebuilding my cylinder head. This was especially nice, while I do all of my car repairs myself, I don't do precision machine work, so he guided me through the process, and made suggestions for reassembly etc.

Found them when I moved to Sacramento in 2006. I live out of the area now but still drive my work to them. When you find people that do good work got to keep them busy. They do great work and are affordable. Owner likes when you bring odd balls too and takes care of return customers.

I've used Del's for years along with every other reputable shop or dealership in town. They know what they are doing and I have never had to warranty anything they have worked on. I can't say the same for the few others that I tried before using Del's exclusively. You get what you pay for and when it means 16 hours labor to do it again I'm definitely using the shop that's had a 100% success rate.

Let me start by saying I've been around the auto repair business my entire life. In the time I've been in this industry many of the machine shops in the areas we have had our shops have closed down. It has always been really difficult to find a place that you can trust to do the job correctly, let alone one with an acceptable turn-around time. When my go-to shop in the East Bay closed I was wondering if I'd ever find another shop that was any good. Another issue I have seen is that alot of machine shops are almost entirely SBC-centric, and if you bring them something from a Honda or Subaru they're just kind of out of their element. Anyways, I found Del's last year and since then they've built three cylinder heads for me. Dave the owner is honest, up front about what it will cost to do it right, and charges a very fair price. The workmanship by his shop is super clean, and they can also perform repairs that other shops cannot. It's a generational family business that's been around longer than most reading this have been alive. I drive 40 miles each way to bring work to Del's, and believe it or not I'm happy to do it. Can't say enough about how great this shop is, and I would recommend them to anyone.

quality work, sometimes turnaround is a bit longer because they have so much work. the list of local shops and dealerships that use (and recommend) Del's is very long. they also took the time to explain to me what went wrong and ways to prevent it from happening again.

This is my go to machine shop, good prices as well as very knowledgeable workers. I've taken multiple heads here and I've never been disappointed, even jobs I could do myself I'll sometimes bring them here for ease of mind.

A business needs to honest and upfront if they are able to do the job. If the job cant be done its important to communicate this with a customer upfront. One negative experience will spread like wildfire to others. I don't recommend this place unfortunately will all the good reviews. Communication is key

Been going here for years, won't even bother trying anywhere else. Thy really know what they are doing and charge fair prices. Brought in an odd-ball part today, no one ever seen it before, done in 20 minutes! Excellent service

I took my 1999 Harley Davidson Fatboy to Del's Auto Parts & Machine Shop to have the valves replaced and the guides as well. When I got the parts back from the shop and put my bike back together it was not right. There were less than 60 miles put on the bike after it had been put back together with the valves and guides that had been worked on by Del s Auto Parts & Machine. The owner of the shop insisted that it was the parts that had failed. I decided that I didn t want Del s to do the work, because to me it seemed highly unlikely that all the valves and guides (all new) would failed all in the same exact way. When I went to Del s to pick up my parts because I no longer wanted them to work on my stuff, the owner of the shop got angry and became confrontational whit me, he even followed me out to my car as if he was going to fight me. I do not recommend for people to take their parts to Del s Auto Parts & Machine, because if something does go wrong they won t take responsibility for what goes wrong, they will blame it on the parts.Jason Reeves.

Love this old school machine shop for engine work. They do old and new with that real manual equipment and zero automation. Hard to find this kinda knowledge and experience anymore.
