My 1999 BMW ( that I take very good care of) had a 6 / 7 inch crack in the windshield. I found a coupon in the valpac thing that comes in the mail, and he had a good price $264, they are a mobile service but I didn't want to wait so I drove to them they fix my windshield in a timely manner.... BUT when I was checking it out after I asked if the tape was going to peel off my paint he said "no that's special tape it not suppose to" usually you see people with blue tape on their car but this was clear and looked pretty strong, he said wait a week before washing the car. At one week I took off the tape and it peeled off the clear coat off the roof. I called he said to come to show him, I went down the next day. I stopped at caliber collision before to get a quick estimate he said about $2000 you have to paint the whole roof. Thomas's the owners answer is "you have old paint". I said I would not have fived a small crack if it was going to ruin my paint job he just kept on saying its a old car he did not even offer a credit or refund i just wanted my car fixed I want you to know it says in the small print on the receipt you get after the jobs' done that they are not responsible for any damage. I don't recall signing anything before the work....
