Paul and Doug were the greatest! They took the time to find out what was going on with my car and figured it out. Once they figured out what was wrong they repaired it quickly and they price was great. I had never gone there before but was recommended by a friend of mine and I will be recommending them to my friends. I will definitely be going back there but hopefully not too soon but the next time my car needs something done I will be calling Honest Engine.

Best service ever. Paul went above and beyond to help me in a moment of need. Late on A cold Monday night way after closing he helped me when I was towed in with a dead alternator. Made a space in the garage for me to park and eased my mind about getting the car safe and repaired. He was upfront, honest, and set great up front expectations. Then he over delivered by getting my car back to me running much faster than I would have in any other situation. I cannot thank Honest Engine enough and highly recommend their services.

So I'll start right in the middle. The first impression was very good. But at I need more work done I feel some of the work is charged to high... I still have some stuff that need to be done. .. I'm worried I'll still need more work to get my vehicle up and running ...I understand cars are expensive... But not EVERYTHING should be so high...

Wow, what can I say. Paul was so professional and completely understood my needs, and got the jobs done with quality. Doug was able to do what the dealer could not. I am taking my classics to him for all of their needs. Great job Doug and Paul. You ROCK!!!!

My Subaru had clogged filter washer wipers. Yes , there s such a filter! It was the first time Paul the owner and mechanic had seen them , so he had to order them. He was very patient with adjusting them until the spray was just right .

I have been going to this location since I moved here 18+ years ago and two other locations prior in Sac since the early 90s. They have always done a great job, and I never felt like I was being pressured into doing repairs. I also like the text messaging system they are now using to send out periodic updates on your vehicle. Pretty nice

Our Subaru stopped working (bad alternator) on our old Subaru and we had to get it towed. Because there s a mileage limit for towing on our roadside assistance, we couldn t have it towed to our usual mechanic. We brought it to Honest Engine based on good reviews. They were responsive and polite, they were able to get to it within two working days, they had good communication, and the price was reasonable. We would go there again.Service: Electrical

Well I was at the end of a tow from Marysville to Roseville when my water pump went out at the destination of honest engines of Roseville. One of the owners came out and said well looks like we can't keep you here like this. Let's get you back on the road after about 15 minutes. He had the part order and on the way. They're in the middle of getting me back on the road. I d call them anything but honest. Bought my hybrid from Hayes Auto and when my hybrid battery went out they suggested Honest engine. Honest Engine then proceeded to quote me $5000 for my new battery before labor. I went elsewhere and got one for $2400 including labor. That s just scummy and a disgusting attempt to take advantage of someone who doesn t know prices.
