I discovered Bowens about two years ago. My Mazda 5 was in desperate need of repairs. I had previously gone to another mechanic, that was unable to diagnose or fix my car. I went to Bowens on two separate occasions, one to get three motor mounts replaced. My second time was to get my suspension completely redone, along with an alignment, oil change, and rear brake change.The costs are fine. What I enjoy most is the communication between myself and Bowens. I also appreciate their flexibility in getting me in soon to get these problems taken care of.

I regret ever taking my car into this shop. It was massively overpriced and definitely not friendly. 2 weeks later my check engine light and sensor lights for my tires came on. I took it elsewhere and the mechanic at the other shop re did all the work they had done it was better quality for a fraction of the price.

Had service done mid December 2023 for general oil change and tire pressure sensor, as I was going on a Road trip. They upsold me some new shocks, I knew it needed to get done anyway so I said go for it. It came out to be somewhere around $1800 for the job.I went to pick it up and turns out the smashed my spare tire cover. They said they d remedy it, its now 2/8/24 and I m still having to play phone tag.You d think after a $1800 job they would just reimburse me for the damage they d done.

I have been going to Bowen's for years, for work on my cars that is beyond what I can do myself. Recently after a parking lot sideswipe, the car needed work on the front end to correct a wheel misalignment. The body-and-paint shop doesn't do that kind of work themselves, but one shop doing business under a "big auto club name" did an estimate; it turned out that not only did they misdiagnose the problem, they gave up on the wheel alignment due to a "seized tie rod" and said more parts would be necessary. Since I was already a prior customer at Bowen's, once the dents and scrapes were fixed and the paintwork done, I went to Bowen's which found the real problem, a loose, damaged wheel hub, which could have been dangerous had it been left alone. Bowen's fixed that, and then addressed the issue that the first shop had given up on. By trying harder, Bowen's was able to make the realignment possible; the tie rod was fine and the alignment done without the added parts.I trust Travis Bowen and his staff.

I just moved in the area. I drove cross country to get here. Well, I arrived here 04/15/23. So, on Monday 04/17/23 I called in the am to see about getting an oil change and tire rotation. Spoke with Desiree, who was able to schedule me to come in that afternoon. Very nice person.I got there and Travis was holding the fort down while Desiree. Very sincere and honest guy. I told him what I wanted done. Was able to wait for my car. Very knowledgeable and does not give you the feeling of being pushy and trying to get stuff done. He spends the time to look up the manufacturer s maintenance recommendations on maintenance schedule. Price for an oil change and tire rotation were reasonable. The mechanic takes the car for a test ride before and after the service. I will go back again. Keep up the good work Travis & thank you!Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

I have been going to Bowen's for many years when I used to own a Saturn. I now own a Honda Civic and still getting the same quality care for the last several years since I bought it. They are upfront with me about the costs and have helped me with minor issues on the spur of the moment things like topping off my windshield wiper fluid or inflating a low tire. I consider them like my pit crew at a racing event. Thanks for the great service all these years!

I ve been taking my car to Bowen s for years now and I ve never experienced any issues.They are always friendly and provide great customer service. Prices are fair for the services/work they provide as well. They always suggest other repairs that might be needed ASAP or for the future, which helps maintain your car. I ve taken my car to other auto shops before, but Bowen s go above and beyond with their service and they don t half ass anything that they do! Thank you so much to everyone at Bowen s Automotive!

Patrick is the reason why I keep coming back. He is exceptionally honest and knowledgeable. If two dome lights come in the pack, he will give you the other bulb since you paid for it. I asked if I could replace the plastic covers over my headlights and this wasn t possible without replacing the lights too. Patrick hand buffed the plastic and didn t charge me (!!) Thank you Patrick and the Bowen s mechanics, you are above and beyond the BEST.

I went several months ago to get my brake fixed and recently, I went back to get my bottom shield fixed. Patrick and his team did a great quality job. They really take good care of their customers and give you good deals. I highly recommend them.

Travis and crew take care of my Jeep and my mom's Chevy. We trust them 100% with our vehicles and never worry we will be steered wrong. Haha but it's true. Thanks Bowen's!

Bowen's is a great shop, Patrick has always been the one to help my dad dad and I and he is awesome! Their service is amazing and it's not as expensive as going to the dealership. They have great quality work that won't break the bank and it's the only place we trust to take our cars.

Bowen's is fantastic, My car was repaired in a timely manner and they have a shuttle service to pick me up and drop me off. All the team members were friendly and professional. I have recommended this shop to several of my friends, and they all felt comfortable and thanked me for referring them.

Our Catalytic Converter was stolen off our truck so we chose Bowens to fix it, and never had the excellent service that bowens gave. very patient with working with our ins company, treated us like family. We highly recomend using Bowens as your go to mechanic!!! We had the privilege of working with patrick an amazing person!!

We've been bringing our cars (5 Saturns over time) to Bowen's for over 10 years. We've always gotten great service at a fair price. Repairs have been timely and the staff very courteous and helpful. I highly recommend Bowen's for repairs to not only GM but most Japanese vehicles.

I brought my 2013 Volvo to Bowen's Automotive for routine servicing last week. They went to work right away and had the car ready to go within the hour. All staff there are polite, knowledgeable and friendly. There isn't another shop around I would trust with my car.

Took a vehicle in for one of their regular elderly customers. I was pleased to find how convenient their location is & clean. People working there are personable, professional, *dedicated, & experienced. It's close to Kaiser, Grocery Stores & they have Shuttle Service . I contacted Bowen's with a suspension problem. They are very patient and did their best to get me back on the road. Unfortunately the problem I have is something the dealership has the tools to fix. They have a very family feel! I love it! Travis first gave my Jimmy an oil change and told me what was wrong with my car. He told me that the repairs are not worth keeping the car. To me, that told me he is very honest and isn't money hungry like most mechanics i have been to. So, then i brought my mom there and they fixed her car with in one day where our old mechanic would take 3! We go to them for everything now!

The service at Bowen's is top notch! They don't charge for something that wasn't done nor do they push services on you that aren't needed. This happens at many other automotive service centers (especially if you're a woman, unfortunately).The staff here are patient and very kind.Thanks for being the experts in your field and for taking care of my Honda CRV.

This is the place to take any age car for repairs. My family now takes all their vehicles to Bowens. They have repaired our Element, Acura, and Ford vehicles to like new. Recently, they diagnosed and repaired our car that was making unusual noises. There was no ' check engine' light either. Done in a day, and we have a car that runs like new. Thanks for great work!

I came to get my car checked out a little after 3:30 so closer to 4 and was able to be seen right away. Getting the car looked at was fine but the labor was questionable due to time constraints. With it just passing 4, Todd the dedicated mechanic made the decision to stay to fix my car knowing that it meant he might even have to stay late. Patrick who works the front desk was the other worker who was willing to stay later for me as well. After getting the tire and all the little gadgets off the thing that holds the wheel on, we were just waiting for my bearing to arrive. Due to the delivery guy taking so long, Patrick took it upon himself to go in his own car to drive and get the part to finish the job. Not only did I get my bearing fixed but I was able to get a bolt replaced in my brakes that a previous mechanic had messed up on. I had a bolt that was the complete wrong size and Todd was able to replace it with a proper sized one. I was able to leave the shop by 5 and my car is running great! Thanks you guys!!!!!

Drove cross country to California when suddenly my Prius started making weird sounds. Took it in the next day and the guy asked me if I had a half hour. Managed to fix it in even less time and for only $30 too. Even sent a "thank you" card in the mail. Great place, would definitely recommend to locals around the place, and if I ever find myself in need of repairs in the area again, would definitely come back. :)

I took my car to their shop around August 2018, My Toyota s clutch had gone out and they replaced it saying there was little issues here and there that were simple fixes. After they returned the car to me, I could hear metal rattling in the engine compartment and I saw they had left off clips that held in a plastic panel inside the engine compartment. I asked about the clips the mechanic lied to me and his boss claiming he never needed to remove that panel to do the clutch. But that piece did need to be removed. They took the car back and fixed the issues I had addressed after they were pointed out. Now I have discovered that my transmission case has blown apart from improper installation. Further inspection from a different mechanic I have known for a long time, revealed several areas where the clutch and transmission bolts are either stripped, cross threaded or outright missing. This is from improper tightening and instillation. At this point a simple clutch replacement is costing upwards of 3 thousand dollars for the used transmission and labor.

I own a 25yr old sc1saturn and think god I found Bowen s automotive after the dealership closed up. They are doing a terrific job of keeping it on the road especially having to find parts. And a plus is having Saturn technicians to,work on it. I am so pleased. I tell Saturn owners where to take theirs for such good service.

So, to begin my car was vibrating only when I would hit the gas going faster than 40 MPh. A symptom synonymous with driveline issues. I have some experience with fixing cars, but I was not experienced with u joints, and driveline issues sound scary right? So I brought my 05 outback in for a diagnosis. When I got there they told me they would inspect the the axels and do a 20 something point inspection on top so I could make it back to MN safely. The charge was 65 dollars before tax, and I feel robbed for every cent.They told me to replace a cv axel and sent me on my way. OK, no big deal there right. The problem eluded them. It happens sometimes you just can't see the forest in the trees right. At least I felt that way untill I realized how simple it was to diagnose my problem. 5 minutes on the right Internet sight and I learned how to diagnose a faulty U-joint. Add on one more minute with my head under the car to check my U-joints and I have my salvation. They never even looked!!! To put icing on the cake they served me, they put washer fluid that freezes at 32 degrees in my car!! Not a problem if you live in California, but my car has MN plates on it, and I told them that's where I was going when my car was fixed. Hopefully I don't need to put a new pump in for my windshield wipers too!!if you are thinking about going here, you may want to reconsider. You may be better off just sitting down at a computer and typing in what your symptoms are and going from there.

I just want to publicly thank Bowen's for the stand-up way they stood behind their work today correcting a small glitch. A lot of places would have tried to smooth talk their way around responsibility, but Bowen's went above and beyond what I thought it would take to make things right. They've gained a long term customer and my recommendation to family and friends.

Great shop!! And most importantly they are honest prices are fair! The mechanics answer questions and word it in a way people without a great deal of knowledge of cars can understand i will be coming back.
